Little Village Cafe

It's hard to put into words with just how amazing the Jamaican Jerk Chicken Burrito was at Little Village Cafe today. This may have been the best thing I've ever eaten and if it wasn't it I know it was close. I'm going to have a hard time not going to this place every day. 😂 The staff was super friendly and attentive and made the experience that much better!

Every small town has that one cafe that is so good it packs the house daily. In Baraboo, Wisconsin, it’s the Little Village Cafe.

Visiting family in the area brought us in on a random Wednesday for lunch. What a treat! The 150-year-old historic building possesses a charm that often gets lost in our modern culture.

Not only was the food fantastic, but the service was excellent. The burger was cooked perfectly with fresh beef. All the staff was very personable and attentive. There is just something about a small-town local cafe! If you’re in Baraboo, check it out.

It's a busy little place. Tables and 4 booths. We got the last table for 2. We don't usually eat at a counter. Pretty nice menu, wraps, burgers, Mexican, fish. We split a bowl of chili, and you have to try the jalapeno cornbread. Soooo tasty! And blackened shrimp tacos. With black beans and corn and cabbage. Yum.
We topped it off with a large piece of special cheesecake. You got to go!

Absolutely love this restaurant as the food is so freshly made, the ingredients are top notch and the staff are wonderful- every visit! I think this is the best quality restaurant in all of Sauk County and we have tried many.

Kind, attentive, quick service, and the food is absolutely delicious! The goat cheese starter is honestly one of the best appetizers I've EVER eaten.

What a great find! Expected a simple burger & fries type of diner experience... nope, we got something so much better!
Service was good, food was good, and prices were good! What more could you ask for!! We ordered the hummus appetizer and definitely started our meal off right. When visiting Baraboo, would certainly recommend a visit.

Such good food! Seriously, the flavor and freshness of all of our meals was right on. The salsa was amazing! My burger was delicious and wasn't all fatty and didn't make me feel gross afterwards (I ordered the blackened burger). My fiance's veggie chilly was hearty and she said it was amazing. We'd definitely come back here!

Love Little Village! Have been getting the Tortellini and Chocolate Mousse dessert for years and it's always amazing. I love getting blackened salmon on my Tortellini. It's cooked perfectly and has loads of flavor. The only thing that I would love to see is for the tri-colored tortellini come back!

This place is a wonderful spot to get lunch or dinner, the atmosphere is beautiful! The staff are so welcoming and so sweet! The prices are also great and affordable!

Fun retro old school cafe. Have gone here many times, since stopping in for a cup of coffee after hiking.
We were so pleased, the service and attention to detail , to make us fresh coffee.
We have gone back to enjoy the wonderful food and desserts they have to offer..⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Another day, another fantastic meal at my favorite restaurant. My fiance, bless his heart, rarely knows what to get me for presents, but on our 5th anniversary he knew exactly where to take me, a restaurant I've been ranting and raving about for over a decade: Little Village Cafe.

Little is in the name, but it is the ONLY place in town where you'll consistently get big flavor. The atmosphere is quaint, the lighting is romantic, and the people are wonderful. Our waitress was a lovely woman with an exuberant personality with a smile to match. I would have never guessed she was working; her positivity was so infectious.

We started off with the roasted red pepper soup, shared with two spoons at the suggestion of our waitress 💜✨ I'm a creature of habit and rarely like trying new foods at restaurants, but this is a place where I'm excited to try new flavors, and the soup went beyond my expectations. Delicious, decadent, smooth, and umami are just a few of the words to describe the soup.

And like the creatures of habit we are, we both got the tortellini with blackened chicken again and it was RAVISHING. Or we were ravishing the tortellini, rather. I don't know if it was the atmosphere, the company, or the date, but this time the chicken was particularly succulent and flavorful.

The service is awesome, it's a quaint little place packed with delicious food and desserts and drink alcoholic and non-alcoholic. It's not a cheap place to eat but it's not super expensive either you're basically paying for the quality you're getting. (-: we had an appetizer made with goat cheese capers and more and it was out of this world delicious I highly recommend it! I had a chicken wrap and he had a fish sandwich with special sauces and things inside and a chocolate torte to end the meal which was extremely rich and worth every penny. And I had ginger beer and they have all kinds of assorted imported beers as well

We are so thankful to have this little gem of a restaurant in town! The food, service and atmosphere are always wonderful and we go frequently. We have gone for breakfast, lunch and dinner along with dine in and take out.

Retro decor with unique menu. Try the Moroccan chicken wrap, tasty. No fries, only chips. Bathroom VERY small. Always busy so it must be good 👍 ..friendly service!

Super nice atmosphere! Great food and staff! I had the Jamaican chicken sandwich other had the Burger! Can't go wrong! Especially the fish tacos!

Tasty spot in a cool town. Food is great. Had some apps— chips and salsa was a highlight. Tried the burrito and the Mac and cheese. Both items were home runs. Menu has enough options but small enough to make sure each dish gets the attention it needs. Here are my notes: its cold if you sit by the door. Pasta dish wasn’t deep and so my pasta kept sliding off the plate. Otherwise: good work.
