The Blake at Taos Ski Valley

Fantastic hotel and experience!! Rooms were beautiful, cozy, and very clean. Service was the best I've ever experienced at a hotel. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. The valets were wonderful, taking our ski equipment and luggage in, setting up the humidifier in the room, and giving us tips on what to do and where to go. On our last night they made sure our ski equipment was put in the car for our early departure in the morning. The location is also so convenient, with the rentals, ski valet, shop, and restaurant all within the building. The whole experience is well worth the price. Overall a wonderful experience and highly highly recommended!

We had the best time. Such a beautiful building and has a very good energy. Excellent staff who catered to our needs and were very accommodating. We asked for an early check in and late check out and they did so without any hesitation. The valet was very friendly and very professional. The room exceeded our expectations. The view of the snowy mountains from our room was stunning. Almost felt like it was out of a movie. The heated salt water pool and hot tubs were amazing especially at night with the snow all around us. The snacks the hotel carries are clean and high quality which was a huge plus. My family and I did not want to leave. My kids begged to stay a few more days. The restaurant that was located in the hotel was very welcoming and friendly. It was very clean and inviting. We decided to make it a yearly tradition to stay here each winter with the family. It’s definitely worth the money you pay to stay here. We had zero stress and our stay was just magical. Such a great place to relax. Can’t say enough good things about the Blake. We love it. Can’t wait to come back and try skiing. Thank you Blake hotel for making our little getaway wonderful. You and your staff are all awesome.

Service couldn’t have been nicer, from the ski valet to the car valet. Easy access to Lift 1, and wonderful pools and tubs! The room was very comfortable, well designed and decorated with great art (they have an original O’Keeffe in the reception). Food and leisure spots in the hotel were lovely!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Blake. The staff was amazing. The shuttle driver rescued us in a snow storm in Taos on the evening of our stay when our van broke down along the way. The location at the base of the mountain rain cannot be beat. We were able to book our room with airline miles as well which made it all affordable for my family of four. The hot tube was great as well.

Get the two bedroom suite, worth the money if you have kids. Aside from the Ritz at Tahoe it's our favorite ski (snowboarding!), resort and the rooms are much nicer for a better price. Staff is great. Wish they'd tone down the "eco," vibe. Most of the license plates are TX and OK, not the target audience and just the heated outdoor pool takes more energy than a small apartment complex... Just be the luxury ski resort it is. Compared to CO resorts or Tahoe there is no shopping or activities besides the resort but it's all that's needed.

Crazy amazing. Can’t say enough! Yvonne and Ashley the whole bar staff at The 192 - and the ski valets, car valets, housekeeping and Hausmeisters! ! Best service! Food was amazing! But the service! I was able to do laundry- just all around super! Coming back next ski season!

Amazing hotel. Best location. Staff was kind attentive and helpful. Everything you could ask for in a hotel. Only note is the hairdryers really need replacing they do not work well.

We have stayed at the Blake twice now, once on a summer getaway and most recently on a ski trip. Everything is extremely clean and well maintained. The staff and service are AMAZING! A lot of the staff called us by name and remembered details about us. I felt like they would have done almost anything to assure we were happy and comfortable. They scrambled for batteries when I needed some for my work keyboard late in the evening, set up humidifiers in our bedrooms when we joked about the dry air, brought us extra hot chocolate for my kids, and the receptionist got down on her hands and knees to clean up a spill for us when housekeeping was busy. This will always be my first choice of places to stay when visiting Taos Ski Valley!

We had the pleasure of spending Christmas at The Blake in Taos Ski Valley. It was absolutely the best 5 days we had at a ski resort. The kids ski club was the best. All the instructors were great with the kids.

Amazing stay over Christmas. Hotel can be easily classified as 5*. Perfect locations, great amenities, fantastic service and excellent atmosphere. Thank you for excellent hospitality.

Quite pricey but worth it if you want a special experience. Dog friendly rooms which are spacious and clean. They include full length wardrobes, steamers, irons and ironing boards, and you can do laundry there if you need to. They provide extra pillows (all the pillows are pretty squishy though) and blankets for your comfort. You can get a roll out bed if necessary.

Really nice location, beautiful views. I recommend summertime visits because of the hiking, chairlift, swimming, and mountain biking opportunities. The Blake has a really nice pool and two hot tubs, although only one was operating when I was there in July, as well as a fitness center including weights, Peloton bikes, and treadmills.

They have a restaurant attached to the hotel, which I also reviewed.

My sister and I came to experience one of The Blake Elevate experiences, and it far exceeded our expectations! Every single detail was perfect! The accommodations are beautiful and clean. The entire Blake team was extremely friendly and attentive. We felt like royalty the entire time! The food was amazing and such great variety. We will absolutely be back! This trip was everything we hoped for and more. We are leaving refreshed, revived, and full of gratitude! Thank you to everyone at The Blake!

We only took advantage of the skiing facilities. Great slopes! A must for any skiing enthusiast.

My wife and I came to Taos Ski Valley for our mini honeymoon. The Blake was an absolutely perfect stay. My wife and I have never experienced better service in our lives. From the front desk, to the valet, to the managers, to the Spa. Unparalleled service. We checked out of Alpine Suites to stay at The Blake and they sent someone over within 5 mins to grab and load all of our bags and take to The Blake. They also allowed us to check in early (so long as the room was ready and inspected). The valet explained that if we needed a ride to town, they would do it. Because it was our honeymoon and opening day, the manager showed me the rooms before reserving so I could pick a special one for my wife. Upon checking in they sent someone up with a gift and a handwritten card. The level of care and professionalism was unmatched. At the Spa front desk, they super accommodating, friendly, and played a role in the staff bringing us a gift. At 192, they let us chose where to sit and the waiter was knowledgeable and provided quick service. The 192 manager even came over to introduce herself and ask how we were doing. The place is gorgeous and far better than many 5 star hotels I have stayed in. The Blake will always have a special place in our hearts and will absolutely be coming back one day.

Truly an amazing stay! From the minute we checked in until after we finally left the property, we received top notch care and attention! We only stayed one night, but there are top tier amenities that can keep you busy for days. Rooms were clean, comfortable, and well equipped with amenities to make our stay excellent!

We’ll definitely be back again for a longer stay!!!

A truly excellent hotel as close to the ski slopes as you can get.
We have being staying here regularly during our annual sojourn to the best little known ski area in North America.
The Blake hotel is right at the slope with full service one stop shop in house for all your skiing needs. There is a great restaurant on site and all the staff are very friendly and helpful.
The skiing is equal or better than any other location in the America’s without the lines or the posers!

Spent one night here, and the service was impeccable. Dawn S., went above and beyond for us. Dawn was knowledgeable, personable and so helpful. The shuttle service that is provided was wonderful for going to town for dinner. Not sure when I’ll be back, but when I visit, I will definitely stay at The Blake again.

The room was spacious, spotless, and had a beautiful view. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. The pool and hot tubs overlooking the river were wonderful! It was the cleanest hot tub I can ever remember being in.

The staff was rude about forcing wearing masks and vaccinations. Very fortunate to have such a nice place and incompetent 😷 staff can ruin the whole experience. Best of luck

The Blake

I have vacationed all over the world and have rarely experienced hospitality and customer service like I did while staying at The Blake. The accommodations are outstanding with modern amenities and attention to detail. Having the on-site restaurant was extremely convenient and there is an amazing coffee shop that has great options, multiple restaurants and cute little shops just steps away from their back entrance. The Blake is situated at the bottom of the slopes which I highly recommend for anyone looking to ski or hike. One of my favorite amenities (besides the relaxing hot tubs and pool) was the free shuttle. The driver took us to downtown Taos and gave us a mini tour of the area pointing out places to shop and eat, it gave us a real feel of this beautiful and snowy town . This made our trip extremely enjoyable because we didn’t have to worry about where we should go or driving in the snow, and we also learned a lot about the area including where Julia Roberts lives and the mountain peak that Georgia O’Keeffe painted. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay this winter and look forward to visiting again in the summertime. The Blake without a doubt is the safest, friendliest and best resort in the area with a focus on the individual and family experience. We would also like to highlight Evan and Ryan at the Blake, they were incredible hosts and curated a perfect stay and getaway. I give Blake, the staff, accommodations, and amenities 5 + stars.
