Bread & Butter Café

Exceptional! We shared the Cranberry Turkey Club with chips so I can't comment on the rest of the menu, but everyone in the place was smiling. As for our sandwich, it was hands down the best turkey sandwich I have ever had.
The service was great, and this place is super cute.
I wish we were going to stop by here tomorrow because the breakfast is probably amazing.

This place is a hidden gem! I went with some friends for lunch and it was spectacular. We all sampled each other's sandwiches and all 3 were fabulous, especially the figgy piggy. I also had a latte with lavendar and it was one of the best I've had in Montana. Two thumbs way, way up! Staff were nice, the decor is cool, and they have a good restroom.

We stopped by for a quick breakfast but ended up having heavy brunch. The food was amazing and the servers were great.

This place is an oasis in a food desert that is currently the situation in this area of Montana! Be prepared for large portions though.

Great atmosphere, very clean, friendly service. Everything was delicious, but the Figgy Piggy stole the show. ❤

This place blew my mind, one of the best breakfasts I have ever had. I enjoyed their rendition of eggs Benedict, it was exceptional, with so much more depth than the classic recipe. Great coffee and service. Juice pressed to order. I cannot wait to return.

Amazing Cafe! Delicious food! Outstanding Service! We went there to have a late breakfast and we were not disappointed! Very clean and everything is freshly prepared! I can't remember the last time I had such a great breakfast. 😁

Food was delicious, great staff and very cute atmosphere!!! Will definitely be stopping again. Had the eggs Florentine with a side of fruit and the iced berry London fog. Everything was delicious and the eggs Florentine was perfect! They even have gluten free options! So refreshing to have good quality food that’s made fresh! Highly recommend going here for breakfast and lunch!

Best place to stop in Western MT! The food is excellent, fresh, and the service alone is worth stopping in! I recommend ordering a side of sausage with anything you order- you won't regret it!! The deserts and lattes are delicious, wish we lived closer ... we'd be there every other day 😊 guaranteed !!!

We were passing through and found this gem via Google maps. Excellent food, service and environment. We had breakfast and then ordered lattes for the road. Clean and oh so good! Highly recommend!

Just a block off the main highway between Helena and Three Forks.. I was delighted to find this delightful cafe! As many cafes and diners it open early and until 2ish.
The place is very clean and as comfortable as grandma's kitchen table. Even tho my first time there I felt welcomed as if I was a "regular" or one of the family visiting from out of town.
I had a late breakfast and the "Grazer"omelet really hit the spot. My friend had the "Southwest" omelet and was equally pleased. We had the regular coffee before I realized they have an espresso machine and could have me my favorite coffee drink!
Before I left I ordered two pieces of their homemade banana bread to go. A single piece was twice as thick as what they serve in the fancy coffee shops based in Seattle. And twice as tasty.. and fresh from the oven probably that morning.
So now I have a favorite place to stop at in Townsend.. either to go in for a sit down meal or to just grab a cookie or banana bread with a cup of espresso for the trip south. I'd say the Bread & Butter certainly needs to be added to your list of those special semi-secret local small town treasures that is part of the fabric that makes being in Montana so special and precious!

Fresh squeezed orange juice, very good coffee, food as good as it looks..great. Small Cafe with nice seating and light. Staff is busy and welcoming. We live in another state maybe we will get to visit here again. Highly recommend.

The special Philly cheese sandwich was delish. As was the turkey panini sandwich. Everything was fresh and the bread was great. We would dine here again.

This place is great! I stop here anytime iam driving through town. Today i had grilled cheese sandwich and potatoe soup. I know it sounds boring but they do a great job with their spices and make every dish special.

Best place in Townsend! Quality food and clean dining area.
