Elkhorn Veterinary Clinic

I’ve had a lot of Veterinarians over the years. Elkhorn is by far the best. They are so loving and dedicated to our furry family members. Even over the weekend to help our poor cat who needed emergency services. I cannot say enough about them!

Our Holland Lop was looking pretty sick. We called in and were able to get an emergency consult. They were fast, helpful, and courteous. We were extremely happy with the service they provided.

I am so grateful to all of the kind folks at this practice!!! My dog was bit by a rattlesnake and I needed emergency vet care and they didn't require that my dog was an established patient or anything like that. They said "we are ready for you, just get here as soon as you can." These people care for the animals and are empathetic and I highly recommend them.

Very accommodating, great docs and front office folks. Liked that the doc got down on the floor to be at my dog's level. Gentle staff!! Very reasonable prices. Wish I had these folks in my hometown

Dr. Brush, the new vet was great. Our cat was checked thoroughly. He is kind and friendly.

They were super awesome and helpful. Especially with my older dog who kept running around and was a crybaby during the nail clipping. Will definitely be going back.

First time being there. Was so thankful Dr. Kim prescribed something else to add to my dog's prescription to help him some more. Time will tell.

Elkhorn Vet Clinic is the best. We had an emergency with our brand new puppy and Doctor Sorensen was the only vet willing to see us in all the clinics in Helena and Townsend. He was so caring and professional with our pup even though it was late at night. Will definitely be returning in the future for all our animal needs. Thank you Doctor Sorenson!

I cannot recommend this clinic enough. Both of the doctors and the entire staff were so kind, respectful, and patient with me after bringing in my cat that was hanging on to his last string of life. I usually feel that vets tend to pay more attention to and care more for dogs than they do for cats, and I did not feel that here at all. They treated my 15yo like he was their own and never gave up on him, even when there didn't seem like there was any hope left. They made me feel welcome, and allowed me to share space to be with him throughout several days. They sent me home with all the tools that I needed to care for him in the comfort of my home, and he continues to get better and better every day. We are so lucky to have this clinic here in Townsend!

My family was driving from South Dakota to Lincoln Montana when our 8 week old puppy started having bloody diarrhea. We were in Helena at the time and called probably over 10 vet clinics. No one Would take her in. Elkhorn vet clinic came to the rescue! We brought our puppy right away and they were able to treat her and let us know what the problem was. It was fast, staff was amazing, and we are so grateful.

The folks at this place are genuinely good people who are gentle with your animals. I see some reviews of people complaining about pricing over the years and I can’t for the likes of me understand why. We moved here from Houston Tx and our average vet bill there was $375 a visit. Todays visit cost $138 to get my Maxi her rabies booster, checkup, and some meds for a skin condition she has. I definitely recommend them and will be taking our cats for their checkups soon.

We absolutely love Elkhorn! All my fur babies go there. I've used them for everything from puppy to end of life. We've even used emergency after hours. Always friendly, kind, and thorough with the best interest of your pet in mind. They also don't push you and respect your decisions. We dealt with cancer in my old guy. I couldn't have asked for a more caring facility for my baby. He was even cremated on site and ready to come home the next day!

Best place hands down! Their crew is amazingly sweet and reliable and love your dogs as if they were their own!

They handled my girls quickly and professionally knowing the breed and it's behavior. Thanks for making my girls safe!!! My little boy was not keeping food down. A few tests and some pills and he is slowly gaining weight!!

I have 2x80 pound dogs. And we always bring them here. We live in Boulder and the drive to Townsend is worth the care they show our doggos! Also the front desk receptionist is very attractive and smiley! Added bonus.

Dr. Kim Zimmerman has worked on my cat and my dogs. Our pets are family, and she welcomes them like they are her family too. She is kind and gentle, and has so much compassion, that is why we always go back there. The staff have always been friendly, and helpful for us. Love this place, no matter how sick our kids are, they are always amazing!❤❤❤

A more gentle and kinder soul is found in Dr. Kim Zimmerman. A panicked late nite call was answered by Dr. Kim who tended to our emergency and alleviated our terror when our puppy aspirated a kibble into her sinus cavity. I'll always remember the relief of finding this dear Veterinarian when no one, of the three vets in Helena, would see our pup.

Truly a great vet clinic with great customer service and prices! Daisy was thrilled to meet Dr. Sorenson!

The people at Elkhorn are more then reasonable and almost always get me in fairly quickly(a couple days). The prices are in my budget, unlike others where you have to pay an arm and a leg and I truly appreciate that piece of mind. Elkhorn allows me to be able to have them checked and taken care more often instead of feeling like its too expensive to where you dont take them in at all. Thank you Elkhorn!
