Family Vision Center

If I could give 10 stars I would. I have been seeing Dr. Amy for as long as I can remember. Long before they moved to their current location on Tanque Verde. Dr. Amy and staff are like family to me and I have referred so many people to Family Vision Center that I've lost count. From my very first visit to her way back (I think at least two decades ago, but I may be off by a little) she treated me like a long time patient and even came in on her day off to check my eyes to make sure the infection I had was progressing well. That cinched it for me, she would be my doctor for life (or until she retires, which will be a sad day for me even though I know others on staff at Family Vision Center will be just as kind and caring).

Very nice office. Both my wife and daughter recently had exams and got new glasses/ contacts here. I wish I’d found them before my last appointment. It’s a little out of the way for us but the staff and facilities made it worth the drive. Friday’s seem to be kinda busy and both visits had longer than average wait times but the staff apologized and the great experience made up for it. The machine that allows them to check you eye without dilation is a good send for migraine sufferers and kids. Wish it wasn’t an extra charge but seems par for the course.

This is the best eye doctor Mrs Jones was really nice and a true hockey fan which is great. They support local sports.. been to orther doctors in the Az area she is better than Sierra Vista. They are really friendly staff. they helped us pick out frames and help us to decide. I like the fact they are sports glasses and Oakley glasses which are really nice. Lisa and Nick are the Bomb they help me and my husband out with our glasses.

Dr. Anna Jones was extremely knowledgeable, and caring. She’s very informative and explained as she performed the exam, and I had learned a lot about eye health. The front desk receptionists are super friendly, helpful, and patient. I’m new to the area, and our vision insurance is not accepted at the practice. Yet, our daughter could barely see the classroom board. Family Vision Center had not only let her come for the eye exam much sooner than any other practices in town but also offered a huge discount that ended up cheaper than the places that would accept my vision insurance. Everyone in the office is extremely helpful and genuinely nice. They put the patient’s interest above all and not hesitate to go above and beyond, so my daughter can see much better yet extremely affordable. The practice is very clean, organized, and modern with large coffee station. I strongly recommend Family Vision Center to everyone in Tucson. Thank you Family Vision Center.

I've been seeing Dr. Amy Fuhr-Dechant for a couple years now and I love her! She is patient and really takes her time with me to make sure I'm getting the perfect prescription. The front desk staff is amazing. The phones are always answered on the 1st or 2nd ring and if there is a hold time it is very brief. Everyone you get to talk to are kind, professional, and patient with you. The people who help you try on frames and help with the ordering process are also great. They will be honest with you and let you know if a frame isn't right for you and will help you find something that looks great on you. When I had to send my frames in to get new lenses they gave me some contacts to last me until my frames were ready to be picked up. Everyone here is very personable, professional, and kind. I recommend all of my patients to Family Vision Center.

From the time I made my appointment on Friday I knew I would be taken care of. Your office was able to get me in the very next day with an eye exam, I came in to look at frames Friday because my frames broke the previous day and Becky provided me with a loaner frame with my lenses in it without even asking! As for my eye exam Jeffery and his assistant were very kind, courteous and knowledgeable answering any questions I had. I would definitely recommend and have already recommended your office to my family and friends.

I have told this tale before and I will tell it again Family Vision Source is TOP NOTCH! From the moment you walk in the office is clean, organized, modern yet a friendly atmosphere. The staff are their to help including every receptionist I spoke with to Dr Horst who is always polite and loves to answer any questions I may have. Anita was my optometrist and she was very helpful in picking out the perfect frames for me. She was very patient as I kept going back and forth on the right frames for me. Thank you to all for a job well done.

The Best Eye Doctors in Town!
Dr. Jones was completely amazing! She really took her time with me and went above and beyond. She listened to all of my concerns and was able to explain everything to me. I really appreciated that. The staff here was also outstanding, especially with helping me find the right pair of glasses and reviewing the insurance and my portion of the bill. I will always recommend this office to anyone and everyone!

This was my first time at Family Vision Source. The front desk staff was friendly and very helpful. Gina made me feel very comfortable and was very friendly. Dr. Amy Jones was AMAZING!! I have never met a physician as thorough as she was. Very patient and kind. She explained more to me in one visit than any Dr has in 25 years. I highly recommend this office!!!

Family Vision has an great staff! All the front desk ladies are professional and friendly. The management is very professional and cares about getting you the service you need, even if it means they get you a doctor who is a better fit for you than the first if unhappy. I've been a patient here for several years, and I trust the doctors to take care of my eyes. The opticians on staff are skilled at helping me pick out a great pair of frames (6 pairs of regular glasses and sunglasses so far and counting!) The frame selection is good, the staff are kind, and they understand what my insurance covers. The practice has excellent COVID protocols as well, and I appreciate everyone masking up.

Dr. Amy is amazing and we have been seeing her for our families eye care since 2016. She is caring, patient, and strives to make sure your vision is as clear as possible. She also is detailed with making sure your eye health is perfect. All of the staff at Family Vision Source is wonderful and I wouldn't go anywhere else.

I have been a patient of Dr Amy's for over 7 years and won't go anywhere else for vision care. She is very knowledgeable and such a great person. She always has answers for all of my questions and I feel like I am visiting a long time friend every time I have an appointment. Their staff is also very helpful and pleasant. I have never felt pressured or rushed in selecting eye wear or having my glasses fitted or adjusted. If anyone asks me for a referral for eye care, Family Vision is where I send them. Thank you for being such a great place.

I've been going to this practice since moving to Tucson 6 years ago, and love it! I see Dr. Amy and find her to be very knowledgeable and up-to-date on all things about eye health; my glasses and contacts prescriptions are always spot-on; and she is so personable which makes appointments a pleasure. I had a threatened detached retina one evening and was able to contact one of the doctors right away, and got in the next morning -- that added an extra level of confidence in this practice that I wasn't even expecting to need! I've gotten a couple pairs of glasses there, and received great help in picking out frames. The office is high-tech and high-touch. Everyone is pleasant and helpful. Great practice overall in every way.

Needed a new eye doctor since changing insurance. Dr. Amy was wonderful. They have a beautiful office and very nice staff. They offer some extra high-tech services but handle it in stride when you politely decline. Felt like my care was very personal. Good value for the money and I love my contacts. I'm VERY impressed with my new eye doctor =] Highly recommend!

The very best experience I have ever had with a vision office. The doctor took exceptional care with covering every single detail and I felt like she really cared about me as a person not just another patient. I would recommend this office and Dr. Amy without hesitation. All I can say is This Is The BEST place to get glasses or contacts on the planet.

I'm new to the area and was in need of a new contact prescription. I was very nervous going to a new optometrist but was very relieved when I walked through the doors and saw how clean and organized everything was. The staff was very welcoming and worked very diligently to ensure that my visit was covered by my health insurance. The doctor that attended to me was so sweet and made me feel very at ease about my recent relocation and my brand new career. Very pleased with everything! I am so lucky I found them and will definitely use them again.

I haven't seen an optometrist in about 10 years. The staff at Family Vision Source were kind, accommodating, and respectful especially since I had to bring my three daughters with me at the time of my appointment. They didn't complain about it and that made me feel comfortable. My only critique would be that I wish the doctor would have explained more about why I needed to see a specialist. Other than that, I'm 100% satisfied. Thanks!

I recently had my first eye exam and purchased my glasses at Family Vision Source. The staff was awesome from the first phone call to make my appointment to the purchase of my glasses. Dr. Horst and staff were all very helpful and informative through the appointment. I was given so much more information than I have ever received in the past with other offices. Nick Vincent the Optician who helped me with my glass frames and lens choice was very professional. I did not feel rushed, he took time to answer every question and offered his opinions which made the decision alot easier. Go team you guys are awesome!

This was my first visit.
I had an exam in Dec. at another Optical Office. I have been trying to wear that prescription for 3 months. After going back for a second exam and 3 times for adjustments only to be told I would have to get used to them? I have worn glasses for 60 years therefore I believe I should know if something isn't right.
I stopped by Family Vision and explained my problem. They got me in within 2 hours. Dr. Amy did an exam and found that the prescription was totally wrong. I purchased new glasses from Family Vision with no issues.
This is the first time in 30+ years I haven't had to go back at least one or two times for adjustments after being fitted with new glasses.
Dr. Amy is very patient and friendly. Anita is very helpful in selecting frames and fitting them as was all the staff that I had contact with.The office atmosphere is very welcoming and cheerful.
