I definitely recommend going to see the aspens changing colors. There aren’t a ton, but the ones we saw were pretty. Was a fun outing with my family and they tell you a lot of fun facts about the railroad during the ride. Just an fyi, the photos they take for you at before the ride starts are $25 for 2 and $10 per each additional photo if you choose to purchase them.

Such a great experience! Between the sights, sounds, feels of a steam train and the history behind the rail road, it was a blast! Great place for the kids too as it isn't too long and everyone stayed interested.

We did the Santa’s Rocky Mountain Adventure in the Tahoe club car and it was an all-around great experience. They had a really nice Santa who spent lots of 1:1 time with each kid/family, had someone on board taking family photos, gave out a nice Christmas ornament, provided an assortment of complimentary snacks and beverages (even several that I could eat as a GF vegetarian), and their alcoholic holiday drinks were actually quite good. Our little one loved it and we did too.

Wonderful day activity for the family. Definitely worth the ticket price. No additional parking fees. Get on in Silver Plume for smaller crowds. Gift shops have fun items and snacks. You can bring food and drinks on board (no alcohol).

This was an experience of a lifetime. We haven't rode a train together before, and we got the chance today. The views were unbelievable... especially the tall bridge we went over. She was terrified at first, but returning over it, she felt at ease. We bought a jacket and a sweater because it gets chilly. I highly recommend a trip here for fun. They even have mining caves to explore, and you'll get back on the train.

I loved this experience. Small town Silver Plum but it's in my heart. Very pintorest. I rather recommend head out from the Silver Plume that the Devil's gate. Both has the same route. Please visit Plume Coffee Bar in Main Street, you will love it 💜

Historic mining and railroad park, used extensively during the silver boom of the 1880s. Scenic and enjoyable steam train ride into the Rocky Mountains.

Well worth the trip. This is one of my all time favorite spots I have visited. I am so glad I was able to make this memory with my family. Plus side panned for gold and got about $10.00 worth. What a great day all around.

This was a fun little experience! Definitely a must for tourists! Beautiful views and it only takes about 1.5hrs so you still have the rest of the day to explore.

The steam train ride was awesome! The Silver mine tour was very interesting, our guide was very knowledgeable and it was quite an experience going back in time to see how the mine operated and the old equipment.

This Scenic train ride was the best! The grounds were set up well, the staff was friendly, and the train ride itself was scenic and fun.

Take the extended mine tour! We had a blast, and the guide was super knowledgable. The train is cool. Google maps took us to the stop on the train ride rather than the actual entrance. Turned out fine because we allowed extra time to get there.

This was our second time visiting and riding the train. It is such a great experience. The folks that work there love what they do and help bring the past to the present.

Interesting fun mountain train ride. Small gauge. Mine tours.
Can be chilly in spring and fall. Mines are 50 degrees.

Awesome experience; did it 16 years ago and it's only gotten better. Do the extended mine tour; it was very cool literally . . . on a very hot day!

This was an amazing experience! Gorgeous views, awesome costumes and an extremely friendly energetic crew. We had an absolute blast from the past on this thing. Alot of good and funny information was given. We sat in the cart that was fully open so we could see everything. Halfway through it, it started raining which...its Colorado. Be prepared to have all 4 seasons in a few hours.
