Listen, the service here sucked bc it was a packed house. BUT the food was so delicious that it 100% made up for it.

We had a little sample from basically all over the menu and everyone loved what they got. The green chile sauce may be the best I’ve ever tasted.

Would definitely recommend this place. Just accept that you’ll spend time hanging out and taking during your time here!

Food was great, and the staff was really nice they didn’t mind to do almost anything. The atmosphere there is great, but there was not a lot of stuff on the walls. The grilled chicken taco salad was great and the chicken shrimp and steak fajita same with the grilled cheese. 👍

This is the best Mexican Restaurant in Ruidoso. It has an authentic Mexican flavor. Plus--- the churros are the perfect dessert 🍨.... P.S. Yureli thank for the great service 🙏

The food was absolutely delicious. The service was great, too. The restaurant came highly recommended and it didn't disappoint. I will definitely come back the next time I am in the area.

This place was fantastic. Great food and reasonable prices. Service was a little slow but only because the place was packed and very busy. No complaints at all. I had Chile Rellanos and they were great. I will go back for sure.

Lots of choices. Pretty much everything New Mexico/Mex cuisine.

Excellent food, fajitas are great as is the guacamole tostados. The salsa in nice also. Pricing is reasonable and the serving sizes are big.

Delicious food and our server was kind. Portions are good. Business is steady and the best part is the food is fresh and the restaurant is clean. Prices are right. Only recommendation is to change the salsa because it tastes like tomato sauce.

After reading many of the lower rated reviews about this place, I just have to start this review out by saying "All good things take time". My family and I have been coming to Jorge's for many years, closer to 20, if not over 20. Every time we come to Ruidoso, we absolutely HAVE to stop at Jorge's for breakfast. I can't say much for the other menu items, because we have always only ever gotten breakfast here. I have always loved the charm inside this little A-frame. The beautiful windows that light this place up, the wood walls, and the smell of freshly cooked food have not changed since I was a child. We love Jorge's.

This is a busy little place, it always has been. The wait staff are incredible and it is almost a wonder to watch them work. There's a lot of teamwork between them. I've seen some reviews that say that they almost look angry. That's just us Mexicanas, that's just our face! Especially zooming across the restaurant, clearing tables, carrying trays, balancing customers, these girls work hard. Give them the benefit of the doubt when they're trying to concentrate. I guarantee if you smile at them they will smile back.

Wait time: Jorge's has always had a wait time. I have myself been part of the crowd that crowds at the front door waiting for a table, jealously watching the lucky ones that are happily eating at their table. BUT, they get people in and out pretty fast for being a little place. The crowd very quickly diminishes. They've added a small part to the restaurant with a bar inside, and that's provided a couple more tables. I couldn't imagine how crowded this restaurant would be if it was any bigger, there would be tons of people in there.

Service is always great, especially when they are really busy, and the staff are easy going. I have never felt rushed by the wait staff, even when there is a crowd at the door.

Jorge's prices are great and reasonable, especially having survived through inflation. Very affordable.

I hope that Jorge's has many more years ahead of serving great food, and we are able to continue this tradition with our family.

This place is great! Location is very convenient, right on the main highway through town. It has the menu & delicious authenticity of a "hole-in-the-wall" joint, but it's very clean & has updated furnishings & decorations.The dining space is a little cozy, not very big, so come early to get a table during busy times. Wait staff is super friendly & attentive.
The food was excellent. Typical diner breakfast options (bacon, eggs, pancakes, etc.), plus great Mexican offerings as well. I got the breakfast burrito with hash browns, scrambled eggs, chorizo (YES!) & red enchilada sauce. It was huge & very tasty, I highly recommend it.

We enjoyed our food and service. Marisol was our waitress. She was attentive and quick. This continues to be one of our favorite Mexican food restaurants in Ruidoso, NM. My favorite is the shredded beef burrito smothered in green chile. If you have left over green chile, use the chips to scoop up the leftovers. *Chef's kiss

A bite of classic Mexican flavor in every bite. This ground beef chimichanga was crispy and delicious, well seasoned, the beans and rice just how you live them. The chips and salsa were hot and crispy, with a salsa that just had the perfect kick to light your lips on fire, in a good way. A great little joint, would recommend!

The food was amazing, perfectly spiced and served hot to the table. We will return for sure.

Súper delicious and tasty! As a mexican I trully love this place so much! This place really catches that especial mexican flavour and really good, also the prices are good!

This place is a LOCAL hangout and is always busy. Even the drive thru. There's outdoor seating, as well as limited indoor seating. The staff is very welcoming and friendly. The food well that easy- it was GREAT!!! Well portioned and delicious! If you are in the Ruidoso area, GO here for great Mexican food!!!

We are from out of town and wanted some real Mexican tacos. Found this nice local restaurant. Everyone was super nice, and food was great.

I think we had a new waitress so the service was not perfect. The place was packed though and the food was good. Restrooms were clean.

Excellent salsa, queso and enchiladas!
They've built a brand new deck, spaced the tables out and put the menus on the tabletop under plastic so that everyone feels safe. Great job! Great service! Great food!
