What an amazing class. You learn a lot of things in a 10 week course. Definitely recommend this training to anybody interested. Instructor is also teaching at your learning pace. Over all great experience.

If you have kids and you want them to be able to defend themselves from bullies or potential abduction, this is the place to be. Martial arts takes years to learn and master. Cobra teaches you hard, fast truths to identify a situation before it becomes a problem and how to get out of a rough spot if all else fails. Tim is an amazing teacher and tailors the lessons for both me, an adult, and my child. He teaches the maneuvers, then practices them under pressure to train your brain to react when you need it. I would absolutely recommend them to anyone who wants to learn how to stay safe and not become a victim.

I have been training with Tim for about a year now and have learned so much. I have always known that I would not be an easy victim, but now I have the confidence of having a skill set to back that up. My reaction times have increased, as well as my focus, in and out of class. And the scenario based training helps to mentally prepare you for many possible situations so that if and when the time comes, you know you will react appropriately and not freeze out of fear. Thanks Tim, for all of your time, dedication, encouragement and knowledge.

I wanted to get out of my shell and wanted to try something different, I always wanted a self defense class but I didn’t know how , or who to call so I started looking and came across Cobra defense course I didn’t know what to expect but I spoke with me instructor (Tim) and I set an appointment with him and never looked back . I booked the class I enjoyed it and liked it so much I’m going to continue. I recommend Cobra for everyone that’s looking for a place where the instructor is very knowledgeable and friendly.

Such a great experience for my 10 and 12 year old. They did four weeks and earned their certificates in cobra self-defense. The teacher was so good with the kids, and so engaging, that we are going to return in the winter to continue their training.

I signed up in Sept 2020 for a group class with my child. I found the class to be very educational and when our kids graduated the academy, I signed up again for a 10 week academy for myself. I eventually added my child again for a private class and he is learning so much. He is more confident and his skills have improved greatly. He has situational awareness now which helped him notice danger at the store recently. All this is because of the class. For myself, as a victim of abuse throughout my childhood, I found the class to be very helpful and healing. We go at my own pace and when there are certain drills that I am not comfortable with for obvious reasons, there is a safe word. I am working my way up in training and have added more classes because I really like the program. The real life scenarios are so helpful especially these days with how the world is. I found COBRA Self Defense Fort Lauderdale after reading an article about a female runner who was able to successful fight off an attacker after having recently completed a self defense course. After a phone conversation with instructor Timothy Robertson, in which he answered all my questions thoroughly, I signed up for the 2 hour Ladies Night Out class. I found Tim’s teaching style very engaging and felt that I gained immediate value after just two hours. I decided i wanted to learn more, so I signed up for the 10 week self defense course and was not disappointed! I honestly looked forward to each class, for the duration of the program. My class size was small so everyone received a lot of individual attention. The program is very hands on so what we learned we immediately practiced and each class built on the previous one. I truly believe that the skills I learned and information I gained during this course may prove life-saving if I am ever in a situation in which I need to defend myself. The scenarios we went through ranged from road-rage incidents, street-harassing, mass-shootings, and avoiding predators. We learned techniques to talk down and de-escalate situations when possible and how to defend ourselves in the most effective way if the situation requires physical contact. We also learned about situational awareness and how to minimize our risk of becoming a victim. The course was very physical and I definitely ended the class stronger than I began, but it was structured so everyone could keep up regardless of their physical limitations. We also had a safe word to use anytime we felt uncomfortable or like we were reaching our limits. The class environment was very safe and there was a feeling of family during the entire course. I can’t recommend this course enough. It is worth every penny and every minute of time that you invest there. You can tell that Tim and Wanda genuinely care about each student and want to see them thrive. Took the concealed fire arm course., and loved it. The material was presented well and was easy to follow. By the end of the course I felt confident in myself with firearms and gained knowledge of appropriate lingo, stances, and etiquette at a range. I truly enjoy the class and the one on one we received during class. I appreciated how Tim quizzed us throughout the course to make sure that we were retaining the information provided. Great course!!!!

My family just did a 2-hr self defense training with Tim and we loved it!
He was so great with our 5yo daughter. I was unsure about her even doing it, but you can tell he is very experienced working with kids and she loved it and learned a lot. We all learned so much more than expected and I highly recommend his class.

This was our first time having Tim Robertson present the C.O.B.R.A. Teen Safe Program and it will not be the last. The content was extremely valuable the whole 2-hours. He balanced between speaking about situations, created a tone of seriousness, and time to practice that allowed our teens to become more confident executing those strategies. I absolutely love Tim's self defense class. I enrolled my husband, my children, and myself. If you think you would know how to handle a situation where you need self defense and you've never taken a class, then I promise you do not know what to do. YouTube is not going to help you. You need this one on one training and so do your kids. We feel more confident and more prepared for real life situations after taking Tim's class.

My mom and I attended a self defense class here and our instructor Tim and his wife Wanda were both great and helped us learn so much during our time with them. The class was informative, hands-on, and fun. We feel much more confident in our abilities to defend ourselves and would strongly recommend the class to anyone!! It was definitely time well-spent!

I appreciate TIM teaching techniques and knowledge on self-defense for my son, daughter and myself during 10 weeks training plus active shooter training. I will recommend these two training to all kids and adults of any age. I wanted my kids to avoid problems and unnecessary risks; but if they need to defend themselves they will be better prepared and more sensitive to what should be done. We hope never have to use these techniques, but if we need, we will be much better now. Thanks Tim and Cobra.

This has been the best experience for my teenage girls and their friends. I highly recommend contacting Tim and finding out about his program offerings. He is very flexible and works with you to schedule a seminar or a class schedule to provide invaluable information for people of all ages and needs. Literally, amazing. Incredibly useful information that will last a lifetime for my young daughter. Tim and his wife were fantastic. My daughter didnt want to go but I made her, and Im super happy that I did. He taught he techniques that she will remember. He was an extremely nice guy and I would highly recommend this course to any young lady or anyone who wants to learn self defense techniques in an ever changing world. I wont even go into what he specifically taught because it would be way to much to write about, but honestly, I could not say enough good things. Tim, if you are reading this, THANK YOU!!!
