Red River Sled Shed

I am extremely grateful for the level of customer service provided to us by Patty & her hubby. They got us all setup for a 3.5 hr ride for my daughter’s 17th birthday. Rob our tour guide was amazing at explaining everything to us before starting the tour. During the stops on our tour Rob shared so many cool details of the views. Thank you Rob for helping make my daughter’s 17th birthday unforgettable & so amazing!

What a great experience this was. The guides Franz and Bobby made sure everyone was comfortable operating the sleds and took us on a beautiful and fun 3 hour ride. The views were amazing and I'd recommend this trip to everyone.

Amazing experience!! Our guide was so good and the route was the perfect balance of adrenaline rush and peaceful cruising and with a perfect amount of breaks and scenic lookouts and a fun play area in the meadow. Our crew with ages 7 to 58yo all had a blast! The helmets and ski bibs the company provided were great as well.

Highly highly recommend! This was my family’s first time visiting Red River NM and it was the perfect thing for all of us to do. Ages 4 to 64!! Me and My SIL are also pregnant and had a great time as well! They have some gear you can borrow like snow suits, boots, masks, gloves, googles, and helmets for no extra charge. They also have gloves, hand warmers, ear covers, beanies and water you can purchase, if you’d like. The trail level was moderate. None of us have any experience on a snowmobile and we had no issues. The guides Joe and Frauns were knowledgeable and patient with our group! The view was absolutely breathtaking and we will definitely be back!

What a beautiful trip and a way to see some backcountry and learn some history of the area. Both guides well versed in snow machines and the surrounding country. We did the 3.5.hr trip and you won’t de disappointed.
Please remember to tip your guides, they work super hard to make sure you have an enjoyable trip.

We went on the 3.5 hour trip today and it was excellent! The ride from town to the sleds was an adventure. Then the snowmobiling to the top of Greenie Peak and the meadow to cruise around on our own was really fun. Our guides for the 9:00am tour did a great job and kept things fun. One is an excellent photographer who can capture your adventure how ever you like! Thanks for an awesome experience, we will be back again!

Absolutely amazing experience! Both guides were so awesome and understanding, adapting well to all sorts of riders, whether new or experienced. The units are a little older but in my opinion better than the new ones that sit up really high. Highly recommend the sled shed!! All clothing, boots, and helmets provided just need goggles and a face covering.

Our group of 9 had an awesome time on 01/08/24. The trails and our tour guide were awesome. I highly recommend this outfit!

We had such a great ride with Franz! All staff were friendly and helpful and we saw amazing views! We took grandparents, parents, kids age 5, 8 and 9 and everyone loved it! Blessed to see such wonderful scenery and would 100% recommend.

Highly recommend! My wife and I had a blast! The folks that work here are awesome and Franz our guide took us out on a beautiful 2 hr ride. The sleds were easy to use and comfortable to ride. We will be booking another ride the next time we are in Red River.

We participated in the 2:30pm tour from Red River Sled on Sunday. It was easy, decently priced, and so rewarding. My whole family had a blast, and we will be having more snow mobile tours in our future. They were kind, on time, courteous, And helpful at every turn. I highly recommend!

Husband and I booked the 11:30 tour. We arrived at 11:00 and the lady at the front desk was very organized. At 11:30, we boarded a van and took a short drive to where the snowmobiles were parked. We were split into 2 groups and headed out. On the way up the mountain, we saw a group of mule deer. It is a bit bumpy, but the views are amazing. If you are sensitive to gas fumes, wear a gator that covers your nose. The meadow was fun to ride around in and the views at Greenie Peak are amazing. Bobby was very personable and made the tour fun with his stories.

Had a great experience. Hans and Bobby aka Bobcat, were incredible guides and made it a great experience. Pro tip- We learned for $30 more you can upgrade your snowmobile to some newer, faster model. Would recommend doing this for anyone wanting some more zip or thrill. The older machines did run and handle great, just some of the younger guys wished they had some more hp. Highly recommend these guys!

Our family had a great time. We took the two hour tour and it was the perfect amount of time for our family. Franz was our guide and he was absolutely great. We highly recommend this tour, great for all ages.

My wife and I new to Snowmobiles took the long tour Feb 9th. We had a great time. Everything from the wonderful people in the rental office to our fantastic guide Joe made the trip special. The Sleds were in great condition and it all surpassed our expectations. We will be back next season.

Excellent.
Get the 3 hour tour because 2 hours is not enough since 30 - 40 minutes are spent on briefing. If you are unlucky somebody in your your group arrive late and you will have to wait for them.
They provide everything except goggles and gloves. Use their suit because the wind while riding is very cold.
And please leave the guides tips. They work hard to make sure you have a good time.

My 2 daughters and I love going on tours in Red River. The tour guide was very personable and knowledgeable. Highly recommend these guys. I have been on 3 tours with then and I keep going back!

We had Franz as our guide and let me just say, he was hands down AMAZING! He let us stop and take photos along the way and even took them for us! We only had me plus my parents on the ride, but it was one of my favorite things I’ve done in red river. If you go please request FRANZ!! You won’t regret it!
