Golden Goose Thrift Shop

It’s a thrift store, so you’d expect to see a wide variety of interesting things. They definitely do have that. Also really low prices. Very enjoyable to sift through. It was also really crowded and everyone was digging pretty hard. I’m guessing new stuff must constantly be coming in. I love thrift stores for looking at the totally random carts full people manage to pull out. They didn’t disappoint on that score either.

Maybe one of the best thrift shop you will ever find. Staffed by volunteers they have donated 20 million dollars back into the community in the last 20 years.

Best place to shop for unexpected treasures. Very helpful staff!

First time in today. It was a 50% off sale and I found a few things. Everything is great quality. Store is clean and every associate I encountered was polite and helpful. I will be sure to return when I’m on this side of town!

They open at 10am!
We got there at 950am and there was a very long line, on Tuesday. But on Tuesdays they have new items. Overall the store is wonderful, they give to a lot of local places and charities. The volunteers were so kind and pleasant. There were some items underpriced, some fair, some I believe to be overpriced. Great store, fun to go and look. You will love it!

Visited on April 11th, 2023, for the "20th Anniversary, 20% off" sale event. It was busy! Clean, well lit, well-organized store, very helpful staff and volunteers.

I had read the reviews about issues with unfriendly staff. However, my experience was totally the opposite. Although I did not end up buying anything, I witnessed a number of the staff helping customers in a very pleasant way.

Fabulous place. stock changes constantly. Prices are excellent with discounts on different things daily. Staff is very nice . Store is clean, displays are beautifully laid out. Seasonal displays for the holidays. They have everything. Books, bikes, dishes, furniture, clothes and every thing else you can think of. Saw a man buying snowshoes today!

If it's a good shop I'll walk in not needing anything and finding something I absolutely have to have!

Great thrift store staffed by the most friendly and helpful volunteers we've ever encountered. Sales every day in rotating areas. Lots of parking. You can drop donations in the back. Only down side is the hours(10 to 2 Tues to Saturday) so it gets a bit crowded, especially on Tuesday. Worth the trip though as the stuff is quality and in good condition.

Well I like the better quality of the merchandise and if you know what a lot of it costs new at the stores then you can get a better idea if you're really getting a bargain . I have seen some of the things there that were priced higher than if it was new in the store. But usually it seems to be priced reasonably. They just expanded not to long ago and it seems like it's again packed to capacity. I find Tuesday is not the best time to go but Thursday is a good day to go .

I love this place. I bought a beautiful pair of lamps here about 6 months ago. Were half off so I got the pair for $45.00 When I got home noticed they were hand painted. Contacted Galley in Alanta stamped on leather on bottom of lamps. They were hand painted .Thay sold in 2003 for $599.00 apiece. Some beautiful items there. I have been going there since they were in the smaller location.

This thrift store is worth the drive to Catalina. Call before you go, because each weekend the sales are different, and it's wise to see what's on sale for the day. They always have a nice stock of furniture & clothes, and good quality stuff, but it's pricey, so waiting til it's 50% off is the thing to do!

Great picks! Good quality well cared for re-sale items! A little bit of everything. So much fun too browse and buy! Social distancing and you wait in line but it goes quickly worth the wait.

Lots of fun! You never know what you're going to find. I needed little non-led lights for my plants and found two sets and a brand new hoodie. Score!!

The Goose is always where I come to find some of the most beautiful and well loved gifts for Christmas. The volunteers are wonderful, everything is displayed to it's best and I never have any issues when I need help.

Something for everyone here. Saturday is usually the only day I can go, and usually all furniture is 50% off. Huge book selection. clothes, and dishes. It gets pretty busy around 10, so go early or towards the end of their day. You wont regret it.

An awesome thrift store that donates it's earnings to charity and is run by volunteers. They get some really nice items and always price them fairly. They also have daily sales to make a good deal even better. Definitely a great place to check out!

Found new large hinged outdoor cushions for $8 each today. There is always great stuff. So fun to walk thru and find a bargain. Tuesday is a crazy day always packed with customers.

The Golden Goose is not just a run of the mill thrift store. It has the very top quality items from the upscale communities in the area at great prices. The other thing that sets them apart is that 100% of the money netted by sales goes to fund programs for needed kids in the surrounding areas. One of the programs they fund provides new school clothes, backpacks and school supplies for over 3000 kids from Catalina to Superior and Miami. The store is mostly run by volunteers who also volunteer in the kids programs from tutoring, clothing, food and scholarships. When you find a wonderful treasure to buy, you are also helping lots of kids!
