Viro's Real Italian Bakery

So I had never even heard of this spot until I saw it come across a local food blog. My coworker and I decided we should head over and try it out out. The staff was oh so pleasant and guided us through the menu. I got the daily special, which was a sausage and peppers sandwich. I had coleslaw and a side of marinara. My sandwich was wonderful and the coleslaw had some good tang. My coworker got the meatball sub. Both were delightful, but we ended up switching because she enjoyed the sausage and peppers and I really liked the meatballs. Both were top notch lunch sandwiches. The sweets were a nice treat. I picked up some specialty items for the house as well. It’s far east for a west central person, but it’s a nice place to visit from time to time.

Entering everyone is alil busy but worth the short wait, everyone was so nice and welcoming.

The calzone took 20 min to make because it’s full of flavor! My eggplant parm sandwich was so great. We personally would come here again often specially for the gelato and the atmosphere! They have lots of specials just ask they don’t mind🙂

The paninis are incredible. No one else in Tucson does proper Italian paninis like them. They also have an insane amount of other products like fresh gelato, Italian pastries, meal prep, and other items. Their potato focaccia sells out really fast and I was lucky enough to get my hands on one. It's really nice and fluffy even before you bake it. I dipped it in some vinegar and oil and it was great. They always have specials and their lunch and dinner menus are fantastic. They even have meal prep items you can buy for last minute family meals like pizza and lasagna and there's a bunch of imported products from Italy. Their butter cookies are incredible and you get one with every panini you order. I've gone here countless times and will keep going back. I love supporting local businesses especially when they have great products and services like this place does.

I came to just look at what they had and left with so many great items. I just bought some cookies and already had 3. The bread is what I really went to look at, so I'm excited to try the loaf I bought along with the eggplant caponata they also make in-house. I can't wait to go back.

Fantastic food and atmosphere! Went to buy some of their fresh made pizza dough and ended up staying to eat dinner. It was obvious most all the customers knew each other. It was very reminiscent of a European café. It was a little on the pricey side but well worth it!

One of the few authentic New York Italian bakeries in Tucson. The eggplant Parmesan hero is amazing also huge fan of the rainbow cookies and cannolis.

They have take n bake pizzas, pre-packaged heat and serve items like Eggplant & Chicken Parmesan, Lasagna, Ravioli and more. The dessert case is the eighth wonder of the world. They make their own gelato!Gelato!! They serve lunch primarily but do have a Friday night dinner service from 4 to 8 p.m..Make sure you call them 1st before you come on down, seating is limited.

Waitresses were very accommodating, waiting on our table as we had a large group of people. They were very pleasant. I will plan to go back. Food was good also

Amazing place with lots of great treats. The owner assisted me and is going to order the gluten free pasta from Italy that cooks and tastes like regular pasta. That is going above and beyond and they have a loyal customer for life. Thank you.

Absolutely fabulous Italian food and desserts and phenomenal service. Cool takeout and grocery items and the bread is a slice of Heaven! Wholeheartedly recommend!

Everyone was pleasant and friendly, but I had never been there before it was as if I was in one of my Italian stores back in Michigan, I found it by looking for Ricotta cheese and i did get it, but then started asking if they had Mortadella, so I decided to get a # of it, than a sandwich with Mortadella/provolone / lettuce, tomato mayo, mustard. Afterwards I had to call back and let them know that that was the best sandwich I've had with Mortadella an Provolone in a long long (10yrs) time because it's difficult to find good Italian products in AZ. I will be going back again for more Mortadella/Provolone and their bread.i enjoyed 😉 them

Portions big, food good, friendly staff and great service. I had chicken parm and my girl had pizza. Gelato and black and white cookie for dessert. Also good

They are all very friendly and efficient. The Philly cheesesteak sandwiches were great. All their breads and pastries are homemade . Come support a family owned restaurant.

The place was packed but the staff was wonderful. Took home fresh bread and lots of beautiful holiday cookies.

In addition to the showcases of baked cookies and different breads available, they have a menu you can order food from. Fried cod and stuffed ziti are great choices. There are many more choices. They have pizza to go and bake at home plus other frozen entrees in the freezer. They have pizza and pasta dough ready made. The baklava is wonderful. Different style cake slices are available. In the world of new hourly wages, their prices are about mid-range, and in line with other business increases locally. Try it. Yummy..

We had coffee and a delicious treat while sitting with the owner and having a wonderful conversation about Italy and random good stuff! Very nice people and look forward to going back.
