Costco Pharmacy

This is the only place my husband and I go for vaccinations. While I've found it difficult to pick up medications here, they're terrific for all the shots we need. Quick, efficient and reliable.

Update: 4 years after my first review and I’m still pleasantly surprised at how nice they are. Even when I make a mistake, they fix it with a smile.

I’ve been using this pharmacy for years. The staff is very friendly and they are very responsive when I need a prescription expedited, etc. I pick up prescriptions for family at other pharmacies and it is nowhere near the pleasant experience I get from the Costco folks.

These are the kindest ppl. So willing to help.

All the employees are very helpful and nice to deal with. They will help me in person or over the phone. I love Costco!

Excellent service and provide lowest cost generic alternatives regularly without me having to ask, saving me a significant amount of money on prescriptions.

I love shopping at Costco, that is why I started using their pharmacy. Last night, however, my experience was not what I normally experience. I had to pick up a prescription and to my surprise my co pay had doubled. I voiced my concern and the tech replied with" you don't have to buy it."
Apparently she has not taken the time to understand that certain meds are very much needed and you just can't make the choice of not purchasing.

**update 2 days later…Walgreens sent over the request for transfer twice, and still has not received it.

My doctor sent in an rx on 8/2. Never received a call to pick up.
On the app on 8/17 I requested a refill thinking I needed to push it through. Never received a call to pick up.
Called on 8/23 to check status. Spoke with friendly lady who said they can’t even get the prescription in and to call pharmacies to see who has it and let them know and they would forward it to them.
I found a pharmacy, called them back to ask them to transfer to Walgreens pharmacy. I told the lady and she was like we don’t do that. I explained that I just spoke with someone and said they would forward it since they could not get it in stock. She was “well I didn’t know that” She put me on hold and then picked me up to rudely advise me that no one told me that.

Maybe I misunderstood, but a simple I’m sorry and an explanation of the process would have worked, but the attitude I got through the phone was intense. I know y’all are busy, but I dont know how this works. I know I was frustrated too at this point, but the very professional byyyyeeee at the end was just nop notch service.

Went to pick up my prescription and the lady was not being very nice to me. I guess my prescription needed to be pre authorized before insurance would cover the cost, instead of the lady explaining to me that it needed pre authorization she was telling me they had not filled it and insurance doesn't cover it. She told me to talk to the other pharmacist as she would know more, when I did, the other pharmacist was treating me like I was stupid and that she had no idea what I was talking about which was rude as they kept pawning me off to each other. This is not the first time this pharmacy was rude to me when I came up to get my prescriptions. Just because you all had a bad day doesn't make it right to treat your customers in a bad manner. I called my doctor to send my prescription to Fred Myers. They have always been excellent and fast at getting my prescriptions. Never again will I go to Costco Pharmacy.

I like shopping at Costco but the pharmacy here is a terrible place for rx pick ups. The staff here are careless and incompetent. I had a simple generic med order sent in ahead of time. When I drop by for it, lady does not bother to figure out what I need and starred at me in silence until I spoke. Then waited until pharmacist talked to me, she went back to check something, handed me off to a third lady, makes me wait again to check something again, finally a 4th lady gets the med(where is the communication?) and rings me. Of course, they don't have my rx plan and need more time to fix this too. They even had this med OTC. None of them cared to assist me properly. They just kept making me wait, this lasted about an hour. This should of been 10 minutes or handled better. Very frustrating.

The worse pharmacy I’ve ever dealt with. What ever you do, call ahead. There’s even a sign that says there may not be a pharmacist on hand during lunch. Costco is a great place, but skip the pharmacy. I’m looking for a new pharmacy. Slow, disorganized.
