We stayed in Unit 7 during our fall visit to Joseph. It was perfect for our stay, especially when mother nature decided to keep us indoors more than planned with cold temps and heavy rain. Really nice accommodations can make up for the weather! Things we appreciated: easy check in, modern full kitchen with great selection of cookware and dishes, extremely clean and tidy at arrival, King size bed with good mattress, excellent wall unit AC/heat, lots of windows and light, fun nook eating area, top floor of lodge, location in town perfect for quick walk to restaurants, shops and grocery, beautiful grounds, easy parking. They thought of all the details and furnishings to make you feel at home. Location on main street in town is very convenient - also means that you do hear road noise early in the morning. There is a flight of stairs to reach unit 7 so FYI if that is an issue for anyone with mobility concerns or lots of luggage. We really appreciated Mt Joseph Lodge and will definitely stay again.

Very easy self check-in. Clean rooms with all the amenities necessary in good working order. The garden/grounds were especially pretty, and seemed to have some deer who considered themselves residents. You can easily walk everywhere in downtown Joseph from the lodge. Very quiet and private.

A hotel needs 3 things... it must be clean, it must have a comfortable bed, and it needs good water pressure with lots of hot water. This place (rm 3) has all three and more. The grounds are beautiful and its centrally located. After a long day fishing we appreciated such lovely place to stay.

A beautiful lodge that's set up condominium style with a beautiful view of the Wallowa Mountains. Various styles that fit any one's family accommodations. We stayed in a 2 bed/2 bath flat that had a full kitchen with all the kitchenware you will need for your stay. Newly renovated and converted from a museum, this lodge had beautiful grounds with water features outlining the property with the occasional wildlife roaming around. The lodge is walking distance to shops, restaurants, and the rodeo grounds that sits right off Main Street. A small driving distance from Wallowa State Park made it for a perfect location in the small downtown of Joseph. Highly recommend staying here if there's any availability.

We stayed in Rm 3 two weeks ago and found it perfect. Its on the backside of the building so its quiet and faces the lovely grounds...perfect setting for Fall colors. This is our second time staying at Mt. Joseph and will always return. This lodge is located on the main street of town so its super convenient to restaurants, coffee, groceries.
The room was very clean, the walk-in shower had water as hot as you could want, and the bed (queen size) was comfortable. The kitchen was perfectly stocked with everything we needed.
My only critiques:
1) the couch was pretty uncomfortable in my opinion (although I spent my fair share of time on it!).
2) the lighting: being that this is a lodge, and that they make LED's in 'warm' colors now, I really wish there were ZERO of those cold white lights in this space...those lights do not need to ever be in a lodge now that you can buy the exact same efficiency at the same price but in warm, lodge colors.
Other than that, and those two critiques are pretty minor, we will always stay at Mt. Joseph Lodge because of its location, cleanliness, ease of access, and price.

What a lovely lodge! The room we stayed in was beautiful and it was packed with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The bathroom had plenty of clean towels, kitchen was stocked with utensils and appliances and it had a gas range! The bedroom was clean and smelled lovely.
I love, love it, our stay was so comfortable and we looked forward to going back. We even mistakenly called it home a few times! Joseph is such a lovely little town and this lodge is in a great location, all the shops are an easy walking distance to.
Can't say enough good things about our stay at Mt Joseph Lodge! It was really lovely and we will be staying again if we go back to Joseph!

On our honeymoon and planning to stay in the woods. Well a flat tire ended that idea, when the calls to two other local accommodations didn't answer we ended up at the Mt. Joseph Lodge. We were very impressed from the room (9) to the grounds. The owner Kirk was super friendly. We were so happy with the first night we stayed a second. We are from the Willamette Valley and don't make it that way much but we plan to come back ASAP.

The town of Joseph has a nice small town vibe and the Mt. Joseph Lodge dovetails perfectly into that feeling. The grounds and gazebo have many tables and there are tables placed along the porch... great places to down a quick snack, eat a full meal, or just relax. There are even barbeques for guest's use. The creek that runs along the side and back of the property was crystal clear and added to feeling that you weren't in the middle of town.

Beautiful lodge in Joseph OR. The rooms are cozy, modern and well equipped. Most rooms are condo style with full kitchens, living areas and multiple bedrooms. The owner was helpful with a late checkout, and everything was smooth.

After six days of camping this was exactly what we needed. A large, high flow shower head and a very comfortable bed. The little fridge was stocked with ice and the room had everything we needed. Beautiful grounds and a great price. We will definitely stay here again.

Spent 4 nights in Joseph for hiking with two friends. Kirk and his assistant, Lindsey, were excellent hosts, with clear information and very quick response times. The lodge was very quiet and well maintained. Unit 4 was perfect size for two couples. We all agreed we would stay there again. Thank you, Kirk and Lindsey.

Self check in with a code emailed to you is amazing! Beautiful clean and very nicely priced. We want to come back with a group of friends and rent the larger one, we were able to view the inside and these are beautiful. So roomy and spacious.

Really nice place to stay in Joseph. My wife and I had to come into town for business. Never being in Joseph before we had to book online and go by the website. Everything went smoothly with booking online. This was a self service entry after paying online and clear instructions were given via email. We showed up and everything was just as advertised. The small apartment was spotless, extremely clean and very comfortable. Reasonably priced and modern. Very satisfied with the stay.

Absolutely beautiful notty pine rooms. Right on the main strip, the view of the mountain is amazing and the best part of the whole stay were the "lodge cats". Two sweet, cuddley cats showed us to our room and ended up hanging around the whole weekend! Nice and relaxing 👌

I stayed in room #9 which is one of the smaller motel type rooms and it was MUCH better than expected. Beautiful decor, comfortable bed, the best shower I have seen in a motel, good size fridge, microwave, real coffee cups and wine glasses, paper towels, flat screen TV with good reception, etc. Best value in a room I have probably ever had.

My wife and I stayed there October of 2021. Unit 1 was perfect. And the owner was gracious enough to help us with a special accommodation for my wife due to an injury. We will definitely come back!
