Le Coulee Cheese Castle

If you love cheese, this is the place for you! They have a wide variety of cheeses. The employee was very friendly, as were the local customers. The shop was easy to find.
The hard part is picking what not to buy, as you'll want to try it all! If you're hungry, get an ice cream cone to eat before you make your selections! :)

This is my favorite cheese shop ever! Nick was so nice telling us about all the different types of cheese, and the prices were amazing. The kids loved the ice cream and small candies, and the cheese was delicious. We were amazed at how many different items we were able to get for less than $40 (including some 16 year cheddar and 8 year cheddar)! We are headed back right now to buy more - we can’t get enough of this cheese!

Very good selection of cheeses and sausages and yes, everything is from Wisconsin in there! The prices are very reasonable. The shop owner is so nice and definitely knows his product! A note for parents out there, lots of different candy that the kids can peruse while you are looking at the cheese!

A wide variety of cheeses and sausages. When the family comes over I try and have a variety of his cheeses and sausages- they are a big hit with the family.The grand children and I love his icecream. There are 8 choices. The owner is very friendly and knows alot about our village. Also has other item's to purchase that are of nice quality.

A very polite gentleman helped me with my purchase. Very good and interesting selection of cheese. My favorite was the red wine white cheddar! They had a 15yr old sharp cheddar too. Always a pleasure traveling through WI.

Very nice place. Nick the owner will bend over backwards to help you. I wanted cheese ship that day but he said mail go at 2:10 and it was 2. I got 4 items and he box it up and postage and mailing label and made down the block by 2:10 and made out in that days mail. Went back and did another order with fresh cheese curd which would be in the next day. Ship fresh. I have several different year and he has done a great job. HAVE A GREAT DAY.

I spent June in Wisconsin and Minnesota and bought cheeses from over 20 different shops. This store was by far my favorite for the selections from simple to gourmet, the flavors and textures, and the prices. I highly recommend the blueberry and the cherry cheeses. The only "improvement" I could see for this shop, would be to offer samples of their unusual cheeses, such as the maple syrup cheese, for skeptics who want to try before they buy.

Nick, Has Great customer service. You can find the best Wisconsin Cheese at this site. The cheese curds are so fresh they squeak when you eat them. Stop in for some cheese and do not forget to have an ice cream cone, try the Rum Cherry. Also remember to send to friends and family.

Best place for kids to hang out and grab a drink maybe some cheese and an ice cream cone, I recommend blue moon. This is coming from a kid who goes there almost every day! The cheese curds are so scweaky and fresh and the meat is fresh and the ice cream is really creamy and my favorite. Thank you nick!

I don't live in West Salem anymore but my dad does and I always love getting a piece of home. We love the cheese!

We know this place as Nicks! Great little cheese and icecream shop. The own (Nick) is the best part of it. He knows just about everyone by name and makes you feel like you are his best customer eveytime.
