Vanessa Pinter, DO

I have received so much compassion and care from Dr. Pinter and the lovely people at LewisGale. She has truly gone above and beyond, working around my crazy schedule, doing video appointments and covering my prescription after I moved and couldn’t find another doctor that wasn’t booked out for months.
She has approved medications on her time out of the office so that I could continue them without a lapse. They have made sure I received the highest quality of care and get my medications as needed.

They were incredibly kind and patient with my wild toddler every time I had to bring her in with me for my appointments, and phenomenal when she was there for her own appointments.

She took my concerns of being prescribed controlled medications very seriously had contingency plans if the current doses stopped being effective. I truly don’t know what I would do without this office, I was in tears daily before I got the right treatment and my life is now exponentially better. Thank you Dr. Pinter!!! Caring and helpful staff!! I was greeted by the receptionist who had great customer service skills and was also very kind. The nurse was super patient and helpful. Dr. Pinter was helpful, knowledgeable, and understanding. Thankful to have found her. Thank you all for your helpfulness as a team overall.

Suffering from depression. Panic attacks potentially derived by cluster headaches. I feel like I'm dying every day.

Update they got me an appointment for today. I appreciate that as a remedy. I hope this is the first step to figuring out what's going on.

Dr. Pinter addressed all my concerns at my visit. The staff and Dr. Pinter were extremely accommodating when I called. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a PCP!

Dr. Pinter is the absolute best!! She is kind and caring as a physician, but also tells it like it is. I appreciate her honesty.

I could write a whole novel about why you shouldn't schedule an appointment with Vanessa Pinter, but I won't. I'll sum it up to the fact that she does NOT listen, rushes you out the door, makes you feel incompetent, and treats you like a dollar sign instead of a person. My first appointment with her 3 years ago left me so hopeful, but it was ALL downhill from there. SEEK A DIFFERENT PCP; unless you want to leave each appointment feeling completely defeated and like you don't matter as a human being.

Very hard to get an appointment within one month, but the office still accepts new patients. If you can't manage your current patients, please stop doing this. Finally, I got one appointment, waited for a month and a half, and one week before the appointment, her office called me and wanted to postpone the appointment! The office visit was also not a good experience: she seems to be not caring about patients at all. She didn't listen to what I was saying. I needed to call her office to follow up the abnormal lab report. Would not recommend her.

I scheduled a new patient appointment six weeks out. By the time the apt came I checked my time and my apt was 1030 so I decided to be there 15 min early for new patient paperwork. Upon arriving I was told my apt would have to be rescheduled because I was not there 30 minutes early. If this is the policy the front desk should call the day prior and confirm the patient is aware of this especially when apts are made so far in advanced. They tried to reschedule my apt for Dec. another 6 weeks. I refused and went across the street to another Lewis Gale Provider who was able to get me in next week. I’m extremely disappointed in how this practice conducts business.

Would not recommend Dr Pinter. Very bad communication between patient and physician. I found her to be extremely uncaring. She absolutely did not listen to what I was saying about my symptoms and would not follow up after abnormal labs. May try to see another Dr. within this practice, or look for a new PCP, but I will not trust her with my care again.

I do not recommend this office. We switched to Dr. Pinter in May after our previous doctor retired whom had been seeing our family for nearly 40 years. We visited Dr. Pinter once so far for a well visit.

My four year old has never had a sick visit since she has been born, but developed an acute issue that needs treatment. I called for an appointment and the female on the phone told me to take her to urgent care as their office does not have any acute visits for seven days. I expressed to the receptionist that we are a brand new patient and have no intention of tolerating an office that tells us to go to urgent care, wait for four hours with a four year old, and pay twice as much because her family practitioner accepts more patients than they can properly care for. When I screened potential practices earlier this year, they were not forthright about their policies for acute visits. Had I known that they would just tell us to go to urgent care for sick visits, I would have chosen a different practice.

I have already called another office and begun the process of switching our records. Our family will not return to this practice.

In the future, please do not accept new patients you have no intention of caring for. I strongly recommend you get a new receptionist to answer the phone as the one I spoke with was very unprofessional and rude. "It's just reality" she stated. Poor healthcare does not have to be reality and will not be the reality for my family.
