A Swedish Affair

This shop is so sweet. It reminds me of quaint shops you might see on a driving trip through a small town square somewhere in the Midwest.

If you have any Nordic heritage at all this is your shop for things from Sweden, Norway, Finland, Iceland and possibly other places that I missed. It's not large, but it's chok-full-o Swedish stuff. There's cutesy things as well as stunning glass artwork. All the prices are reasonable. My 6 year old son insisted that I purchase a "Anglaspel" (rotary candle holder) and my daughter loved the Dahl horse items. There are also traditional Swedish preserved foods, too. This will be my place to come back and get some beautiful Christmas decorations. They have many in the store. The owner was at the store when I was there. He was very kind and helpful.

Overall, go find a reason to support this local Fort Myers business that's been here for many years. There's bound to be something Swedish you need to have in your life even if it's just a small trinket or jar of jam or a Pippi Longstocking book.

Mom Considerations: there was not an obvious restroom in this mall, so if you're shopping with children, I would make a stop somewhere prior to coming. Otherwise you may just need to ask the shop owner where to "go".

First time I have been in this shop. I am trying one of their kitchen Swedish dish cloths. Comes in great designs. Has lots of fun things. Prices seem reasonable.

Just stopped by today for the first time. What a wonderful shop. So many charming gift items, coffee, and treats. This is the perfect shop for hostess gifts. I will be going back often for cards, gifts, and maybe some cookies (for me😉)

If you are Scandinavian as I am you will love this place! So many unusual gift ideas even if you are not Swedish! Owners are very nice people and will certainly help you find what you are looking for. And a good selection of authentic Swedish food to boot!

Excellent specialty store with lovely and beautiful things. We're from Lindsborg, KS "little Sweden USA" and family travels to Sweden, and we were not disappointed at the merchandise. Going back before Christmas to purchase potato sausage for our Swedish celebration!

A Swedish Affair is a hidden gem in Royal Palm Square. The owners were not only extremely helpful in meeting our needs but apparently, when I was shopping, I became dehydrated and they quickly got me a water.
While they have a wonderful variety of merchandise from home decor to kitchen items to food to jewelry, my favorites are the unique wood trivets and the Swedish dishwashing sponge...fantastic! You have to try these...really!!!

Wonderful shop which is exquisitely arranged. I find new treasures each time I pass through. The owners are wonderful and it is always a joy to shop here. They really do have "Sweden's Finest"!

My family and I have been going to A Swedish Affair for over 6 years to get our fix of Swedish art, licorice, food, and gifts. Just a nice little place, very quaint, and great for people who are Swedish, or love Swedish culture!

My wife is from Sweden. This is the first time I've been to a swedish affair. now I know why she likes to go. It's very quaint and charming. There are plenty of Scandinavian items, but if you don't find something that you want they can order it for you. Really worth taking the time to visit.

A lovely store with elegant Swedish glassware, charming Holiday decorations, and an array of unique gifts from cards to candles to colorful socks. A delightful place to shop!

I have gone to Richard to get my Swedish "fix" for over 20 years. I would be lost without this store. They have everything and more Swedish/Scandinavian related and I highly recommend it. Highest quality on all products!!

This is a charming gift store for Scandinavians and non-Scandinavians alike. The back of the store even has a section for Scandinavian food and candy as well as a section dedicated to traditional Christmas decorations.

Such a jewel to find. My friend and I love Swedish decor and chocolate. This was an unexpected find as we were visiting the area for a weekend.
