Jefferson Equestrian Area

This is a backcountry out of the way off the beaten path kind of place where you want be seen by the locals you will lay low keep your head down and stay incognito on your horsey ride or whatever else you ride. I go here to bury evidence of my love for riding horses and government secrets. Miss the old big top flea market that used to be nearby, it's lack of traffic during the weekdays provided great anonymity. These new apartment folk are getting suspicious and several of their cameras have been spotted observing my equine escapades.

Great place to take a hike and walk dogs. 🐕 no restrooms or water. Dogs are to be leached. This is not the dog park. Free parking. Owned by SWM. Non leached dogs can be fined.

Great place to hike. Free parking and nice shaded trail that goes back into the woods. Walking along the bypass canal is nice as well. Wouldn’t let dogs off leash as there are some large alligators who like to sun themselves on the banks. Great spot to get out into nature and usually no one else around.

I enjoy the piece and quiet when I go there. I am a little sad about how it's building up in the area. And that you use to could drive up to the trees now it's all fenced up. And the only complaint is there is no lighting out there when it gets dark it's black and dangerous at night

The quiet corner of Tampa is great for a shady walk. It's very lightly used but the trails are nicely maintained.

Just a neat chill out place, and you can walk down the canal bank , and see wild life.. nice place to watch the sun set....

Amazing place to go for a hike walked half way thru and back on first trip there definitly gonna go back really soon to try and make it thru the whole trail

Nice and quiet but don't fall into the steep trench. There are gators and plenty of wildlife
