Myrtle Hill Memorial Park

My family was very pleased by the attentiveness of Eddie Rodriguez, Jacqie Nash and the whole Myrtle Hill team in the planning and conduct of my mother's funeral. In our first meeting with Eddie a few days in advance of the funeral, we discussed every detail, asked questions and made decisions that resulted in a service that was respectful, intimate and tailored to my mother's preferences. Eddie was patient as he listened to our desires and he drew on his experience to make suggestions and describe recent trends in the coordination of services, arrangement of the room and flow of the funeral and commitment services,
We chose casket flowers from a local florist, chose not to serve food and brought in a soloist known to my mother. Eddie and his team used knowledge of my mother's favorite color, hobbies and interests to coordinate room arrangements that drew so many favorable comments from my family and attendees.
Eddie was watchful, attentive and unobtrusive while making adjustments that were helpful. He was unruffled by last minute decisions and was never rushed.
The transit to the graveside and committal service also went well. Eddie arranged for pallbearers and arranged the flowers. When we chose to observe the lowering of the casket, he selected and passed roses to my family that allowed us to place them on the casket. He had one of his team remain on site after we departed to ensure that the grave was closed properly.
I am so very thankful that Eddie served as our funeral director and applied all of his experience to ensure that the funeral went so very well.

Myrtle Hill has been our family’s cemetery with Blount being the Funeral Home since the 1940’s (approximately I didn’t come along till later) I have nothing but positive to say they have always been caring, easy to work with and most importantly kept the grounds and grave sites pretty and in good shape. It’s fascinating to look around , it’s a hilly site with trees and see many older graves a testimony to the care given over a long time. Near our plots is a solitary soldier killed in WWI on his 18th birthday, to me just striking in the sadness, but honorable place to rest. Anyway I’m happy to say it’s all been positive for me and my family that I’m aware of.

I bought into this plan almost 30 years ago, unfortunately I recently had to use it. It was the best decision I ever made because all those years ago, we made our funeral preparations with no grief to cloud our thinking. We had an installment plan and paid it off. What was a very personal painful experience was handled with the utmost professionalism and Funeral Director, Eddie Rodriguez ensured that everything that needed to occur, happened. It was a smooth and seamless service. I am forever grateful, also knowing when it's my turn, it will be done with the same level of professionalism and care. Thank you!!

Michael Snyder made my son's Homegoing an easy, stree free experience. Everyone there is friendly and helpful and extremely supportive. The follow up from staff, especially Michael Snyder, is so helpful. The gardens and grounds are always well groomed and clean. I can fathom having to go through something like again, but I would choose Michael and GOM every time.

I came to Myrtle Hill to find one of my ancestors that was buried here. At the funeral home, Peter was so helpful to me and my family. He spent quite a lot of time trying to gather information and help us find the exact location of my ancestor's grave. He even offered to take us there if we were afraid we couldn't find it. He would not accept payment for all the work he did for us. Very kind and friendly.

Exceptional experience at grave side. Grounds keeper's went above normal duties making things perfect. Again my thanks to all staff at grave side.
