Stopped in after a morning biking on local trails.

The location is fun. As noted by others, the patio offers great views of the river. We got a beer and burger. Burger was cooked to order and tasty. They seem to be trying for more of an upscale presentation so I had anticipated House cut fries rather than frozen, but they were pretty good as well. I got an IPA and my wife got a wheat beer. Both were quite nice.

I’d for sure swing back by if I was in the area.

Our server was friendly, attentive, and prompt. The restaurant was busy, but the food arrived quickly. My wife enjoyed a pub burger and fries, while I savored a crispy BBQ chicken sandwich and potato salad. The hefeweizen beer was refreshing, too.

The big 1873 photo on the wall features the restaurant as it looked in 1873.

What a place — great view; great beer ; great food; great service.

I had the brown ale and the hazy ipa. Both were very good. For food I had beef barley soup and a side salad.

Yum.

I recommend this place.

Absolutely delicious food! Service was on point!
The bacon jalapeño popper burger was outstanding! Best burger I’ve ever had! Garlic fries were a great side. Jerk chicken tacos were also amazing! Will definitely be back!

Great spot right on the river. Great selection of drinks and food. We ordered the breaded catfish and the Southwestern Chiken Sandwich with fries. Both were great but shockingly the chiken sandwich was perfect! It was a crispy, and juicy, and I had bacon and onion crisps in every bite. I wish I would have gotten a different side beside the fries because when you compare them to the sandwich, they don't measure up. Wonder spot, and I will stop by again! They have outdoor seating, which has a great view of the river, and they also allow dogs in the outdoor seating by the picnic tables.

First time visiting -- I live about an hour away. Chose the cranberry butternut squash cream cheese risotto.... OMG! My new fav dish! So incredibly delicious. I might drive back up there from Rochester again sometime just to get that! 😄👌🏽 The service was excellent, and it was fun that trains went by right outside the window too.

Really cool brewery right on the river. Good selection of micro brews. Very friendly and accommodating staff. Lots of old vintage signs as decor. Really nice outdoor patio seating. Menu was much larger than expected. Beautiful scenery. Nice to wander down to the river after having a beer!

Stopped in on a drive along the river route. Fantastic view of the river. Nice outdoor seating area, just be aware a train may pause your conversation for a minute as it passes. It’s actually charming. Beer selection was good, food was great (mahi tacos were very good).

Giving this a 5 Star Review only due to who our server was (Sorry did not catch your name) who was working Saturday Morning - February 27th at 11am. Whoever this is deserves a raise. The whole restaurant was full by 11:30am and she was the only server on the floor and did an amazing job getting people to their tables, serving them drinks and then serving them their food.

I was hesitant to come into an almost full restaurant but we sat down anyways and we were in and out in less than an hour. It is a cute place with a great view of the river. Parking seemed ample but again it was very busy.

Our food was less than 5 stars. The Cioppino was amazing, definitely worth every penny - it was a tad spicy so be careful. The cheese curds didn't have much flavor. The Shrimp and Grits again were almost flavorless but wife liked them. We also had a cheeseburger and it was just a puck of overcooked and over dry beef.

I don't have much knowledge of the area so I couldn't say if there is a better place to stop. That waitress though was amazing, great job to you!

Great find. We were driving by last week and noticed the sign. Unfortunately they were not open on Monday. We drove back (46 miles) today and we're glad we did. Good variety of beers (also full bar). Sweet potato tots were awesome. Anchor Inn shrimp was great, as was the Hawaiian Flatbread. Excellent, friendly service, great views, nice old building in a quaint old River town. We'll be back!!

Nice brew pub.

We have been back several times, and experienced good food and good beer in all of our visits. The wait staff has been very nice, particularly today. The tiramisu was very good. All in all a great place.

We noticed the brewery sign as we were driving along the River Road and googled it to get some information. As we would be in the area again on one of their days of operation, we decided to stop. A great discovery that we simply wandered into. Fun selection of microbrews on tap, cordial bartender, great vibe inside, pretty outdoor patio, and a wonderful looking menu. We loved the proximity to the railroad tracks and the Mississippi River. Two of us enjoyed the Foghorn Hazy IPA and another had a vodka lemonade. Wish we could have returned to eat here (I need to satisfy my Scotch Eggs craving), but our road trip timing simply didn't allow it. Will definitely return when in the area again.

This is a very nice brewery/ restaurant in the area. The food is generally quite good and so is the beer. Some of the beer even has an interesting twist to it. For example, the Cap'n Amber is brewed with Cap'n Crunch cereal... and it's good! I wouldn't necessarily have been able to tell it was brewed with that cereal without being told, but it's definitely there in the background. Three other beers are good to and worth trying. All in all a good restaurant and brewery, recommended. I will be back.

After a bit of confusion I went up and ordered my drink and asked for a menu. I understand it was shift change and bartender thought I was with someone. But Bloody Mary was good and Brushetta was excellent. I was on the way home from Wabasha. Stopped again and this time had shrimp with grits I highly recommend.

Ok, I don't know how many times I have driven through Read's Landing and just seeing it as a couple buildings built on a bluff. This place makes it so much more than what I thought. They brew a few beers which are good. They are not fall over stunning great, but I had a couple different ones and they were all good. They also have other craft brews and standard brews in cans, as well as ifers, wine, and mixed drinks. But the star was the food. I and my friend got a ribeye sandwich and my wife got a brat. The sweet potato tots as a side were wonderful and the garlic fries had just the right touch of garlic. The brat was fall apart tender and the ribeyes has just the right chew. As an aside, I felt sorry for the waitresses. It was really busy and, oddly enough, wjen they ask you to wait by the door, it does mean by the door, and if you want a different table. Say so when you are sitting. Don't argue with all the waitresses. They are trying to help everyone, not just your special self.

The chocolate milk stout was good, the place was old and historic, with a nice situation by the Mississippi river, ocasionly graced by a passing train. Worth a visit.

Smothered ribeye sandwich is the bomb. Not thinly shaved slices, but a half-inch slab cooked to order (medium rare please). Definitely pay all the little extras for the sweet potato tots with horseradish and honey butter dipping sauces. The horseradish can be double used with the ribeye for that extra kick to change up the whole sweet savory experience. There brewery also makes a legit smooth nitro porter...

Excellent little brewery! The food is good! The beer is fantastic and rotates often! The staff is knowledgeable and friendly (and all in masks). They have outdoor seating, picnic tables, and these lounge chairs that face the river. Plenty of seating indoors, too. A nice decor! Lots of old neat signs. The place is clean too! Well kept. Really just an all around great place! Highly recommend stopping by. :)

One of my favorite little places to get away from it all. Good beer, great food and an unbeatable location right on the banks of the Mississippi. The view alone is worth the trip. If you’re journeying on the Minnesota Great River Road, make a point to stop here.
