In looking for trails to hike, I came across this place. This place is great. Trails for miles. Bike trails for miles. 14+miles. Also if you have a canoe or kayak there's the river. Wildlife is quite present. Great for photography, I've included a snap I took.
Bring hydration, and snake if you are hiking. Maps and ranger help are avaliable. Have fun. I did.

Some of the most natural views of the real Florida are hidden in this park. The hiking paths and trails are very well marked and very easy to walk on minus the occasional tree roots. Great for dogs, kids or beginner hikers. There is a nicely maintained wooden boardwalk that runs along the river that is mostly shaded and provides great views the lush green landscape. There are alligators here frequently so beware with dogs by the river. The covered shelters are great for parties and it's $2 to park here, as the machine does take credit cards. This parking/hiking area does connect to the larger bike trails if you are wanting to bike from here. Definitely recommend some bug spray depending on the time of day you are walking in the woods here as the swampy areas will have mosquitoes all the time.

$2 to park your car. Display it on your dashboard driver side. Multiple trails, lots of signs. FYI, there are several poison ivy plants along the trail so keep little hands from wandering. Telltale sign of poison ivy is the three leaves in a cluster together. Otherwise, absolutely beautiful. We saw 2 alligators in the water but we were safe. There were turtles and birds and we got to see a caterpillar go in to it's cocoon. Would definitely go back! Did not see a restroom.

Great park with hiking/mountain biking trails, a fishing boardwalk, restrooms, and a canoe launch ramp. No playgrounds here. But there are small pavilions to rent. I did not have luck fishing but enjoyed the morning - will be back!

If you’re looking for a low key, but fun place to mountain bike this trail system is the ticket. Lots of wildlife to be seen every time I go. $2 parking pass required.

Excellent place to Mountain bike. No hills, but you can get a great workout.

The main trail is about a 17 mile loop. There are also some offshoot trails. All in all, probably about 30 miles in total trails.

Great place to put in training miles.

Clean restrooms, Park Ranger maintained

This is a great place to hang out or take a stroll. Also a good spot to get in a kayak and/or do some fishing. But my favorite part is the bike/running trail. From here I usually run backwards, that's the best part in my opinion. Great trail, beautiful trees, great time 👍

This is such a cool little spot. It costs $2 for the day. Theres a boat ramp, nature trail, bunches of biking paths, and is pretty empty. We love the nature trail, and my dog goes crazy with all the little lizards darting here and there.

We paddled down river from Morris Bridge Park to Trout Creek Park. This park is a great place to pull out.

They have a kayak launch that lets you get in your kayak on a dock and slide into the water on rollers in a track. We came out of the river using the roller and track system. It was wonderful. At other parks you hope there is a bit of slightly sloped sand at the waters edge so you can get out of the kayak without being at a steep angle. Sometimes you find a good spot and sometimes not.

The boat launch area was for canoes and kayaks only. No boats on trailers.

They had a nice place to clean the kayaks too. The horizontal beams were padded and were wide enough to hold three kayaks. A hose was right there.

Why do I like it here?
Well..... The fact you can hike, bike, kayak/canoe.
You can sit, eat, chill, right next to the river.
The park, to the north, connects to Flatwoods Park. Dope!
To the south, it connects to Wilderness Park Mountain Bike Trail.(which itself connects to another park to it's east😍😍😍) Also dope!!
The biking is awesome. Not super challenging, but a few trails go a lot of miles, like a lot.... so that's great!
I've been to this this park more than 50 times in the last couple years.
I will continue to do so!!

Great park for hiking or trail bike riding. I road my trail bike yesterday at Trout Creek Park for the second time. It's a beautiful park and all of the people that I have met there have been super nice. After peddling into the park about 200 yards, I encountered two different packs of deer. It was a beautiful sight and a gorgeous way to start a Sunday.
I highly recommend this park!

Great Park for beginners and intermediate level bikers. Trails are popular with hikers and runners as well, so you must watch out when riding. Technical trails are more root and sand than drops and valleys like our sister parks Alafia and Boyette. Still, you can create loops for plenty of miles and see lots of wildlife.
