Very beautiful Welcome Center and rest stop! Take the time to go inside and look at the displays. I didn't know that Alpine, GA was such a cute little Bavarian village town.

Always love stopping by here through our 30/40 years of traveling by. We took our young children and then their small children as they came along through to visit. The display has fascinated each one them as well as the grownups.

Rest area is great for truckers, ample space to park for truckers. Space to walk or play with pets. I enjoyed the scenery & it’s early phase of spring. I walked & even enjoyed the swing they had there. Not one complaint.

Georgie in my heart ❤ and soul. Soothing reflection of happiness. Traveling for love, family, leisure and enjoying nature. Amazing places to go and see. So much to do and xxxperience. Content, cool 😎 and creative. Inspiring, innovative and ideas. Going, glowing and 🪴 growing. Opening oneself to the amazing options and opportunities of becoming full of ones own joyfulness. Where else can you find happiness in this world 🌍 if happiness is not from within oneself (own heart ❤) first? Traveling is important for learning new things and seeing this amazing world. The great work is a profoundly deep journey of tender 💕 love and sincere care for oneself. Yet the greatest pleasure of all is having some 1 in order 2 share it all with 2 becoming 1 honoring the order of creation.

Nice and spacious ground. Big spaces for truck parking. Unfortunately there is no overnight parking allowed. They have bar b q’s picnic tables and even a swing set. Good place for a walk as well they also have pamphlets and maps inside. With even a miniature model of a town.

This is a beautiful spot for a welcome center. This one has a friendly staff and nice atmosphere. The bathroom is clean, the building is nice with lots of brochures and staff to help you plan your trip to Georgia, and grounds are well cared for.

This welcome center is located just inside the Georgia border after crossing over from South Carolina on Interstate 85 south. This welcome center is open from 7 am to 11 pm daily (the visitor information center is staffed from 8:30 an to 5:30 pm daily). Inside the welcome center, there is a visitor log that you can fill out as well. Unlike some other states, this one is still done on paper (North Carolina and South Carolina were done on tablets).

Much has changed with this welcome center since the last time I went through this area. The last time I went through this area, the welcome center was undergoing a major makeover. I still remember them having portable restrooms and portable buildings for visitor information.

My most recent visit through here was a few days ago. I love the changes and updates that they have done with this welcome center. It's great to see what it looks like completed after seeing all of the work going on before. You go up some hills to get to the top where the welcome center is located. The place looks beautiful now and you can tell it has finally been modernized and updated to the current times.

Most of us come in to use the restrooms. Of course, I did as well with this visit, but I also visited the friendly staff at the center. I wanted to find out from them if there were any traffic or construction issues to be aware of, since we would be passing through Atlanta and then headed west into Alabama and Mississippi. They were very knowledgeable and they have systems to show traffic issues within the state.

After doing the usual stuff, I went back outside to explore the grounds here. There's plenty of walking areas, as well as a pet relief area. There's also quite a bit of picnic tables, with some of them covered as well.

Overall, since the changes, this is now a great welcome center to stop at. If you need information while traveling through Georgia, or if your final destination is in this state, you should definitely stop in for information pertaining to your travels. I will definitely be stopping at this welcome center again in the future if my travels bring me this way.

A nice welcome center. The best one that we have found. Clean bathrooms and plenty of parking for cars, trucks, and RVs. Nice outdoor swings + benches. Plenty of open space. The soap dispensers are not Kid friendly. 👍

This is my all-time favorite visitors' center. It is spacious and cool, has clean restrooms, and sports a bulldog statue large enough for an adult to sit on for a souvenir photo. But the real reason this is my favorite visitors' center is that I stopped there with my two children when they were young. We relaxed on the porch swings outside, and we talked about fractions. It is a wonderful memory.

Occasionally the state where I live embarrasses me, thinking about the heartbeat law, but there is no cause for embarrassment about this welcome center on I-85, a mile or so after you cross into the state from South Carolina. It's beautifully maintained, tables for picnics outside, with large and sparkling clean restrooms inside the building, along with plenty of space to review displays promoting state attractions, and lots of free literature.

Clean location I just wish they have the bathrooms open 24 hours that's my only complaint or if the bathrooms can't be open and maintain 24 hours put some porta potties that would be very helpful
