Dolan's Bar B Que

Owned and operated by one of my oldest friends. She truly is the poster child for taking an idea, giving that idea a lavish touch, and then making it happen... and still finding a way to go above and beyond that! So far, I am merely referencing her business model, mind, and impeccable taste. The food and deserts are always amazing! Just be careful not to put on 20 poynds before having to be rolled away in a wheelbarrow! I am so proud of you, Lazar!

Delicious and tasty food! I'm currently working my way through the menu but definitely addicted to the bbq loaded fries. They are almost too delicious to not order almost every time, plus they are on their happy hour. Atmosphere is always great and love being able to sit on the patio when it's nice outside or there is live music.

Great food and service! We stopped by for brunch, and it was delicious! This is the Caramel Apple French Toast. Of course, we had to take 2 slices of Honeys cheesecakes to go! Cookies and cream and a white chocolate cranberry-so amazing!

We enjoy this local BBQ place. The outdoor seating is great when it's not too hot. The fans out there are great even when it is hot. The food is amazing, and we have never had bad service here.

Dolans was so delicious! Visiting from the west Coast, it's a little different than your average BBQ offerings and sauces... But maybe it's just a Georgia thing 😉. And I certainly was mad about once I took the first bite of my Chopped Pork sandwich with added slaw on top and side of Mac. TO DIE FOR!
The southern charm service and creatively curated atmosphere was just the icing on the cake to our delicious meal. The full bar and dessert bar were added bonus we didn't even know we needed. Dolan's certainly has something for everyone, with affordable prices.

The food and service were both phenomenal. I had the dynamite dog and Brunswick stew. I would definitely recommend those.

I have been all over the southern United States, I have reviewed many eating establishments. This place was off the chain in all categories. The pulled pork sandwich plate was fantastic. Tender but not mushy, seasoned but not to spicy or over peppered or to much vinegar.
The half chicken plate was great as well.
I wanted to show you the small town feel of Statesboro Ga, just look at that home made 15 layer chocolate cake. Im bringing it home to my elderly mother.
Give this place a try. You will not be sorry.

One of the best barbecue places in Georgia. The food is great, the atmosphere and the staff are even better. Can’t go wrong eating here.

I am not generally a BBQ fan, but this place is great! The meat was delicious and the optional sauces were unique and each very good. The sides I had were delicious. We sat outside on the porch area and listened to the live band. Great atmosphere! The overall experience at Dolan's was perfect for me! A definite 'go back'!!

Great BBQ joint with a country flair and casual dining. Order from the counter and get your drinks from the bar. Some, fun, and a great out seating area as well featuring live entertainment.

The place was packed for lunch (packed with locals) but I still found a seat and service was quick. I got one of the specials, the braised pork rib tacos that came topped with cheese, mango salsa, slaw, and sweet Chile sauce. Definitely higher order thinking for bbq. Great flavor that hit all the right notes. The tacos were over stuffed but who’s complaining? Two were more than enough. Picture attached.
On a previous visit I ordered the pulled pork plate. It was fresh, warm and juicy with great flavor. I didn’t need any sauce with it.
I’ll be back again.

LOVE Dolan's. Best meats: the pulled pork and the smoked half chicken. Favorite sides: mac n cheese, fries, stew, and green beans. Favorite specials: any of their tacos, any time they have butter beans as a side or broccoli salad, and any salad with their pepper jelly honey mustard dressing (drool). Favorite appetizers/happy hour specials: chicken finger sliders, taquitos, and wings. Favorite drinks: the Dolarita (just a hint of spice!), a cold draft Dos Equis with a lime. It's a fun live music/weekend atmosphere, too. You cannot go wrong here!

I really thought having lived in Memphis and traveling the South like I have, I'd eaten at all the really good barbecue places, but I will publicly admit here and now that I was wrong.
THIS -- this Dolan's place -- is a must stop for a foodie of any sort and BBQ junkie whether they pray to the pig or the chicken.
The service is fast (my order was at my table in about 5 minutes), and the prices are fair ($8 for the daily special and $12 for my rib/chicken/chopped sampler).
The local food takeaway section they have is impressive (check out the different pimento cheeses), and the bar is well stocked if you want to que there.
Dolan's deserves extra culinary kudos for its sauces. Most "homemade" sauces that BBQ joints serve can be over the top in one way or another -- too hot, too vinegary, too this or this -- but the Sisters White, Seven Oaks Mustard, and Grape Vine Road Red are hands-down the best trio of BBQ sauces you'll find 'round these parts.
If you're coming to Statesboro, Dolan's is worthy of your presence. Bring lots of napkins and an empty tummy because your love for food is about to get gooey good and plenty, too.

LOVED LOVED LOVED! My boyfriend and I came last night & were so surprised by the prices, food, and interior! Everything was perfect. The employees were sweet & efficient. I cannot wait to bring my parents when they come back in town, it is definitely right up their alley! Also, love the Masters theme this week (AUG native). 10/10, one of the best places in statesboro.

BBQ on par with the old Vandy's, a hard goal to attain. Glad my hometown has a place like this. Even the Brunswick stew was slam full of meat.

Fantastic bbq in statesboro! We tried the spicy chicken sandwich and the sampler platter. Everything was delicious. Service was fast and friendly. Would recommend!

Great brunch spot for a Saturday!! Live music and wonderful atmosphere!! Perfect meeting spot for friends and family!!

The food was phenomenal. Tried several different things with the sampler plate and all were a+. Fun and live environment. Everyone was really into the music on the deck with several dancing to Billy Jean.

Very reasonably priced and fantastically smoked. I enjoyed everything from the chicken to the pork to the Mac and cheese to the cowboy beans. Interesting sauce selection as well.
