Nice level site at B-50. Quiet campground, clean bathrooms and showers. Rangers were so nice and helpful with information about the campground, area safety and best ways to tour DC.

Great campground close to Washington. Bathrooms with hot showers. We take our car to the metro station 5$ per day for parking. You can also walk but it takes 30 minutes.

The park is really nice with walking trails etc. We camped here for 8 days whilst we visited Washington, Baltimore and Annapolis. The location is ideal for visiting all 3 of these city's

Though we lived in the area for nearly 25 years (Montgomery County) this was our first time here. And a wonderful time of year for camping, too, with hardly anybody else here. We spent 5 nights in D loop in our 30 ft travel trailer, using our generator throughout the day and evening as necessary. Our site was just long enough for us, fairly level and open. We spent much of our time outside the park visiting family. And as close to very urban areas as it is, in the back of the campground it almost felt remote. Sunsets were beautiful.

Perfect place for the whole family! We spent 4 nights here and the tent sites were amazing. The camp host was wonderful and very tentative. They were also quick to inform us of a tornado heading our way and gave us instructions on where to take shelter. Luckily we did not get caught in a tornado, but are very grateful for the way they were cautious and insure our family's safety!

Nice trails we walk our dog there a lot he enjoys it, except when we see a few deer he wants to chase them. He got away from us once and he went off chasing one. But came back 5 min later. Nice place to camp as well can't bet $20 a night if your into that.

I camped at this national park last night May 4th 2022. I am a tent camper and want certain things. I want a bathroom close. Before you book please know what you are booking. A great number of the camping sites have (for me) too much of a slant. I drove around took the number of different campsites and then booked
They charge 20.00 per night and have the discount rate of half price for the disabled card holders. The park is close to Washington DC.

Fabulous park! Biked from the north main entrance to the south entrance (accessible by bikes/peds only) yesterday to scope out the park, then returned to hike it today. I was able to walk the whole Perimeter Trail and the other shorter trails in an afternoon, and I loved it. The Perimeter Trail is really the park's best trail IMO -- you get such a variety of nature over the course of its 6-mile loop. I came across more varieties of mushrooms than I could take pictures of, had a close encounter with a family of white-tailed deer, and hiking along the creeks was just plain good fun in the woods. The road into the Laurel Picnic Area was closed, so fallen leaves covered the way as I walked in and had lunch on one of the picnic tables in the mossy middle of a deserted parking lot. Felt like a scene out of The Walking Dead. Had to shoo the spiders out of the sink in the bathroom, which was surprisingly in pretty good, working shape!
All in all, I'd give this park a 10/10. Sure, there's noise from the nearby that roads that you can't totally escape, but focus on the natural beauty around you and I'm sure you'll tune the traffic out in no time.

Fantastic place for camping or vanning. Lots of space, can be a bit tricky to find your assigned lot but it's a really quiet and peaceful place. There are men and women restrooms, each one heated with a spacious and private shower, which really came in handy. Each lot has a grill and firewood, and the grounds are monitored by park rangers and a campground host. There are trails for hiking, and the metro and shopping/food are close by as well. We paid $20 a night for 3 nights. I highly recommend.

Very pretty hiking trails and had the Junior Ranger Program which is a fun activity book for kids to do while there that they'll get a cool reward for completing.

Ideal location! So close to DC! Friendly camp hosts! Knowledgeable docents!

Um, scratch that -- if EVERYBODY camps at Greenbelt, I can't!

Let's try again ...
Avoid this location -- at all costs!

🕷. Spiders everywhere -- jumping spiders, daddy long legs, found a spider so large, its eyes reflected golden light from my headlamp (like 🐶 eyes)!

🦟. The mosquitos are large and plentiful! They carried away my wife and dog. I sure miss that dog.

Plenty of parking alway a plus; and benches. No parking or entrance fee. Has a short trail and a long trail (1.4 miles). Pet friendly, but do please pickup after your friends 🐕💩 droppings.

I took my girl dog on a walk here and she absolutely loved it. There is a lot of shade so you don’t have to worry about sun beaming down at you if your going on a hot sunny day. The only problem I received was their were no type of directions. You would keep walking and finally realize you are miles away from where you parked your car.

With miles of unpaved trails meandering through a lush and verdant forest teaming with life, it is easy to forget you are inside the capital beltway. The freshly repaved roads throughout the park are a magnet for road bikes zipping up and down the small hills. Truly a wonderful outdoor oasis in the heart of the DMV.

We absolutely love staying at Greenbelt Park when we visit DC. It's very easy to access downtown from here. It's quiet, despite its easy access to the highway. The showers are clean (for camping) and the bathrooms have electricity. The area is very pretty!!

Great park with clean trails. The signs could use a little work, but overall pretty clear. Good for just about any age or ability.

We thought it was pretty cool to be able to camp at a National Park so close to Washington. We camped in D loop and at D143 there is a trail that leads out to the metro station, that took us right to monument mall. A sign points the way to the Metro along the trail. When you get to the road you will be at Good Luck Road. There is no directional sign here, but take a right and cross Kenilworth Avenue, a busy multi-lane highway also known as Highway 201. The road changes names to Campus Drive on the other side of Kenilworth. This road leads all the way to the Metro, and it takes about 20 minutes to get there. GPS walking directions help once you get to the road. Once we got to the station we found someone who worked there who helped us figure out which train to take and how to get a metro card.
Hope this is helpful to someone!
