I give it a 5 star because... for what it is, it's crazy to see. That is one impressive rock! Glad they weren't sleeping when it fell! 😲 it's unfortunate that some people feel entitled to what isn't anchored down and stole things including the donation box so now, no one can tour the inside anymore. I do hope the realtor got his money back at least before that happened! Definitely worth a stop to see even if just to stretch your legs. Not too often you can see something quirky like this! Watch out- the driveway is steep and the trees next to the end of the driveway make it hard to see traffic and we gunned it going out and scraped the bumper on our van! 😆 branches being trimmed back a little would be nice. 😉 and maybe a bigger, heavier donation box would be better. I totally would have left money in it yet! Or maybe a mail slot on the door with a box on the other side!

Interesting place. Free. Not able to go inside. Approach with care, overgrown vegetation, and the place seems not to be very safe just to walk close to the rock.

Sad vandalizing people have stole money and destroyed property so the rest of us cannot go inside. Still an amazing site to see. If the owner ever does private showings I will bring a group

So sad that you can’t go inside or leave money. Wish I would have gone earlier when you could do those things. Still glad we got to stop and see one of these “oddities”. And to think, this is not the first time it happened. We were blessed to have stopped by while the guy was mowing the lawn. Super nice and helpful and informative.

Neat stop. Never seen anything like this. We were not able to get in. We were still able to look around. If you have a few minutes take a peak.

Looks like it's being demolished, but still cool

This is a great tourist stop! I feel bad for the owners that this happened to, but it also makes me wonder how it happened. Definitely check this place out of your in the area.

Unkempt yard and greenery, locked house, neglected. Very disheartening to see upon arrival that someone took the cash box, and it is now closed due to this. There is still beauty to see here. Grateful to whoever owns it for having it open as long as they did, and I hope even though they trusted the honor system once, they will find it in themselves to open once again, maybe in a more constructed way. But I understand if not, I hope people find it in themselves to respect this place in years to come.

It is just what it says it is. A rock in a house. Not much information about it. I would like to know the story. Well worth the stop to take a look. Very small parking lot. It is just a drive way. Better to just park on the street.

Interesting place. Ppl have died here. Wonder if there are spirits attached to the home. Check out other reviews for a brief history of the place.
Off road parking on the north side of the house.

This place was really awesome!
Totally worth the drive. Set aside time to go there, because we were there for 4 hours and still didn’t see everything!

When you're in Fountain City you have to stop by and see it. A huge rock broke loose from the hillside and crashed into the house. Must see to believe. Self guided tour on the honor system.

You've most likely never seen anything like this before. A part of the bluff broke, rolled down the huge bluff into the house, snapping off big trees on the way down. Go inside they have details and newspaper articles from when it happened.

Real shame that some delinquents broke the money box so we can't go inside, but it's totally worth the stop anyways.

The coolest thing in Fountain City, WI. A huge rock, 55 tons, rolled down a steep hill into a house. $2 admission, walk in and look around.

Very fascinating place, they basically left it the way it was the day the rock came
