Mini Mart Caribbean Grocery & Cuisine

Small Caribbean grocery store - the people that work in this store are from the Caribbean and all very helpful when I asked questions about the food items sold there.

You can get things such as jerk seasonings, fresh Irish moss, soursop, and many other items used in the Caribbean culture.

On the other side of the grocery store , soon as you walk in, is a small restaurant that has meals that are well known in Jamaica.

I stopped in to pick up an oxtail meal plate for dinner. We have had it many times before and it is always great.
The food was good today also. I feel it is one of the best Jamaican places in the Charleston area.
Accessible parking is available .

We got the Oxtail, Rasta Pasta, & Jerk Chicken to-go.

👉 The pasta settled in the container by the time we got home to take the pics and we ate it as soon as we mixed it up, but TRUST US, it was TO DIE FOR. 👈

Let me preface this with the fact that I travel for work. I love curried goat. It was my last night in town and I had not had the opportunity to go out for food. I got off of work later than expected, called Mini Mart up for a pick up, and they were so accommodating in letting me place an order. The food was incredible and the staff was so nice. 10/10 would 100% recommend.

Had the curry goat with rice and peas, cabbage, and plant. I’m slightly ashamed of how fast I ate it. Nothing left on my plate but bones and styrofoam 🤣 Needless to say I’ll be back!

Amazing jerk chicken always fresh off the grill, every type of Jamaican patty starting from spinach and cheese all the way to beef and cheese, also a great array of drinks. Feels like home 🇯🇲🦁🖤!!

Great food, and great service! The Caribbean grocery has all your island needs. The cuisine is very great from the oxtail, curry goat & jerk chicken!! The curry chicken is very underrated imo! 10/10, would recommend!

Oxtail Dinner (peas/rice, cabbage, plantain,) was wonderful. Fresh, flavorful, and nice portions of everything. I will recommend and eat there again for certain💜

Great place to get Caribbean food and vegetables to include green banana, yellow yam, white yam, pumpkin, and various herbs. The prices are reasonable. Big ups to the vendor!!!

I love it here. They have a large variety of Caribbean items from many different islands. I was happy to find ackee 🤩 I had a spinach patty and it was delicious. They were very kind with great customer service as well . Will be back for sure .

What a great experience, all smiles & great service, there has not been too many Caribbean restaurants in Goose Creek area for a while, but it’s safe to say that we have great one now, not only does the restaurant offer amazing food. (I got the stew chicken rice & peas), the vibe of the place feels a lot like home for me, being Haitian & from NY, I found a lot of cooking products that were impossible to find in the Charleston area, Thank you for the experience will be back soon.

The first and only place I go for a taste of home! Fresh baked patties (mild, spicy, spinach, veggie, curry chicken, jerk chicken!!) Coco bread, spice bun, hard dough bread, D&G soda, canned goods, spices, fresh produce (fresh thyme!!!!!), and everything in between. And NOW serving cooked food?!?!?!? The smell of the oxtail had me moaning when I walked in the door. You are a FOOL if you don't go look for yourself.

My go-to for all my Caribbean spices, drinks and overall Yardie vibes. Always a pleasure visiting. You can get your coco bread, patties, green bananas, yam, plantains and now hot meals!!!

The chicken & beef patties are PERFECT!! The plates are a large portion, everything was delicious

Hidden gem. Must be visited and purchased from. Staff is pleasant and give you room to explore and question any item within. The food source is to be commended; various products which bring back use and memories of time passed in the US too!. I support small businesses first. Will definitely add to my grocery 🛍
