Always friendly, absolutely accommodating to your needs, very professional atmosphere you can tell everyone who's there, truly belongs there...more of a family feel, opposed to the alone feeling I've had at other hospital's, there just a button press, or a holler away. Thank you all for setting the bar to high for others to reach, your trained well, and it shows...keep up the amazing work you all do, and this all can be said for every section in that hospital, that I've experienced personally, and with family and friends.

I have been a patient for years especially with the I.O.P. programs. If you have the willingness...the treatment team, medical team, staff; maintenance/kitchen/house keeping, security, front desk--just amazing! Morgan P. & Alyssa H. are to me...the most spearheaded, caring, genuine, therapists I ever encountered ; with fun, upbeat personalities too! They take the time to zero in on you personally & together custom a treatment plan that works for you. When you have no hope, let them carry you for awhile... Now I stand tall & proud to be where I am today & now give hope to others that need it. I will always hold a special place in my heart for Bellin Psych. ❤

i’ve stayed at bellin twice as an adolescent about 5 years ago and twice now as an adult this past december and this july. the improvement is ASTRONOMICAL. every nurse, cna, and every other staff member i encountered was incredibly sweet and accommodating and really went the extra mile to make sure i was as comfortable as i could be given the situation. Leah, Courtney, Gabby, and Brandon are just a few of my favorite nurses and Emily who leads the meditation and the classes on making changes and self care has such a contagious positive energy and is such an amazing person to talk to. Every time she was in she gave us an opportunity to go outside sometimes even more than once! other staff members brought us outside as well but it really depended on the amount of staff that day. the OT ladies are also very sweet and they provide you with a ton of different craft options and are really great conversationalists too :) the groups and check ins are great times to talk about what’s going on, but when i asked if i’d be able to just sit down and talk with a therapist to get everything off my chest Melissa ( i think that was her name) made time for me that same day and just let me talk to her about everything for over an hour and it was so amazing and she offered incredible insight and helped me so much. The blonde housekeeping lady is also really nice and funny! the food really isn’t bad and they had tons of snacks in the nurses station which was nice. the only thing that really sucks is the beds and pillows. they get one star and i wish death and destruction upon them.

Dr. Charles has been my psychiatrist for at least 10 years. I feel so comfortable with him and able to share everything and I never feel any judgment. Only way I would stop seeing him is if he left and went to a different office lol. I would follow him. I highly recommend him 1000%.

They saved my life. It didn't happen immediately but overall with a positive attitude, being open minded, medication or not, you will get the best care. Today many people have the ability to receive medication (because it was never before an option) to help the mind. I suffer dysthymia (form of depression). I have to take medication (prozac) because the firing of neurons in my brain were too slow, therefore causing me to feel listless, that everyone was out to get me, no one liked me, I was ugly, nothing interested me, I couldn't do anything right, didn't want to get out of bed, irritated all the time and saying all the wrong things but I was functioning. I was doing everything I was supposed to do to live but that was just it, I was a robot. Medication to me is very important because I like to say it "buys me time" to think before I speak, keeps me from getting so irritated, I have a will to live, and I can enjoy projects and doing things. Depression is not that you are sad all the time (although it is a part) of the many other feelings that surround your everyday living. Before you judge medication you need to give it a whirl for a long period of time such as a year because you may need to switch meds to find the right one that works for you. For me it is a life long project, like brushing your teeth, it must be of the utmost importance or you will not get the most out of your treatment. Happy thoughts, Ami

My wife had some amazing nurses during her stay. They kept her in until she felt safe again. A special thank you to Stacey!!!!! But please do something about those beds; my wife had nothing but back problems due to them as she already has a bad back.

Only issue I have had us that I have been through 4 therapist since uve been with Bellin. Everytime I get comfortable they leave or move into another position. the one I have now I like so far and ahead says she will stick around. crossing my fingers. hard to keep reliving stuff. also my pdoc went in maternity leave and I had a crisis and didn't even know she was expecting. fair warning would have been nice but she apologized and she is otherwise been amazing. BTW this is my 2nd pdoc
