Dean's Restaurant & Bakery Oak Ridge

I used to cook a lot. A lot of big family meals. I needed that when I went, some comfort food. Loved the country food pick me up!!! Our waitress was awesome! The service was the best!
I ordered turkey and dressing with mashed potatoes and a side of greens and cornbread I added 2 more sides of green beans and deviled eggs. It was so yummy! I took some coconut pie to go. My husband ordered ribs and loved them! Can’t wait to go back when I need some home cooking!!

I always meet there for lunch. I love to introduce the restaurant to new people to Oak Ridge. Dean's never disappoints with the great food! You have to try to the sweet tea and any cake!

A great local find! Traveling and saw Dean’s while searching local restaurants and reading reviews. We arrived around 7 PM on a Monday and they were very busy (great sign)! Plenty of parking and we were seated right away. Servers were so friendly and attentive, food checked all the boxes and was served fast. Trying to decide on the sides was hard, so be sure to share with your table mates. Great daily specials and be sure to save room for dessert, the coconut pie was so good!

Why would you not love food cooked on a wood fired grill?! Even the squash was good! Pork chops, salmon, and chicken were glazed to perfection. "Bakery" is not just a trifle add-on. The dessert menu covers a whole wall. It is worth taking home since you will be too stuffed to enjoy it at the restaurant.

Enjoy and support local owned cuisine. Reasonable price. Delicious.

Really good club sandwich and fries... not cheap, but on par with current local business prices. Server was friendly. Neat atmosphere. Clearly a staple in this town. Seems like a good spot for friends or colleagues to meet up for lunch.

Cute home style mom and pop place. Our server, Seth, was very nice and attentive. We got the chicken fried chicken and the salmon patties, both were very tasty, but would probably choose the chicken over the salmon, though. The grilled squash was absolutely amazing and so were the collard greens. Great deviled eggs.
I liked the simple menu with options for meat +1, 2, or 3 sides. They also serve my favorite rolls! I would definitely return to try some of their other entrees.

Tasty food, large portions, delicious hand made desserts. Charlotte, our server, was the best!

Absolutely fantastic! A Must stop if in Oak Ridge. See pics! Fantastic Brisket, broccoli casserole fries. Fried chicken sweet potato casserole green beans. Desert coconut cream cake and huge lemon cookies. Even got a basket of muffins and bread ,butter. Excellent service and food came out Hot& Fresh.

Excellent food, good service, big portions. Everything we've had so far has been great. Will definitely come in again. Well lit, nice atmosphere, not overly loud, comfortable dining experience. I would recommend it!

First time eating here, and the food was delicious. The orange sweet tea is definitely a must. They also have a bakery, with lots to satisfy your sweet tooth.

Food was great! The fries and sides were slightly cheaper tasting than expected but the actual entree was delicious. Both me and my wife were impressed. Will be back

Good place for lunch. First visit. This is not part of a chain and has a nice variety of dishes. The bakery part looks very interesting. I was too full to want dessert. I'll go back for dessert or take a pie etc. home for later.

Oh my gosh, where do I start. Our waitress was Tonya and she was phenomenal. Great suggestions that were spot on.

First off, the tea is sweetened with orange juice. We tried it at the end of the meal and it was actually very good. That shocked us.

The cornbread has just a hint of sweetness and the rolls were great. I did not add any butter, my wife did.

On to the main course. My wife got pork chops at the suggestion of the waitress and in 32 years, she has never gotten pork chops. She was soooo glad she did. The au gratin potatoes...BAM! Awesome. Pint-sized were good. There's just not a lot to do with those.

For my meal, I got the pot roast. It was great for restaurant pot roast. Tender, juicy, flavorful. Just needed a little salt. I also got the grilled squash and no I want to try this. Lots of flavor. The star of my plate was the corn pudding. Oh my gosh. I could have gotten that 3 times and still wanted more.

Finally moving on to dessert. There are so many choices. We got it down to the German Chocolat cake, carrot cake or Italian cream cake. So we went with Tonyas suggestion since she was spot on with the meal. Italian cream cake won. If we would have been going g straight home, we would have bought an entire cake. It was that good.

Great food that was served hot and an attentive waitress to match the quality. Again, this was worth the hour drive!!!

The home cooking you wish you had growing up - lives here! There are so many good dishes here, and there's also a bakery counter for takeaway items. They'll lay it on you, so go hungry and plan for leftovers.

Great food and amazing service. We were greeted immediately upon entering and sat in a booth/table combo.

The waitress came to our table quickly and took our order within a timely manner. The food was brought out within a short time and tasted great. I ordered the turkey club with deviled eggs as a side. We were in and out in under an hour during lunchtime.

I will definitely be back for more great food and friendly service!

Loved having dinner with our big family, 23 members all eating at the same time. The chef was amazing. All of us Loved our meal. I had the meatloaf, my spouse had the pork loin. The serving staff were wonderful, always keeping our glasses full and amazingly, we were all eating at the same time. Wow!

Loved this place! The spaghetti special I got was incredible. Cornbread and rolls are good. Broccoli casserole was excellent. Salmon and squash were also great. Service was really good. Their banana pudding looked cute in the jar and tasted incredible. We'll be frequent visitors now!

I thoroughly love Dean's!!! While my mom had been here, I had not. Our meal was hot and wonderful!!! Our server was just excellent!! And we loved the charming, homey atmosphere!! Thank you so much. We have little by little trying to do more since my father passed away in July. So this was extra special!!

Always enjoy eating at Dean’s Restaurant! My favorite is the pot roast followed by delicious chocolate pie! Pure southern comfort food with kind staff! It’s definitely a gem of Oak Ridge.

The chicken and dumplings were absolutely great! And of course the green beans were as well. I tried the squash and im very glad i did. Best squash ive ever had! Very clean looking place and felt laid back. Will Definitely be back.
