A true hardware store without having to go into a super large store and not get service. Always someone to help, prices are reasonable and they truly help when one is in need of something. I hope they never go out of business.

When you think of a hardware store with little bit of everything with customers and employees talking bout the weather, hunting, or projects. This is it. Very knowledgeable. Little pricey bit If I can't find it they have it. Also some great case knives and free popcorn so that's always a plus

Great store. Well stocked with merchandise and hard to locate sporting goods. Friendly and knowledgeable staff, and the owner is going to greet you and help you find what you need.

What they lack in selection, they more than make up for in customer service. There's a reason this store is still going strong despite there being a home depot and lowes a few miles down the road.

These guys never fail to get me through a project. Paul, Jeff and David not only know how, but have it. Great place for gifts too.

Abbeys Hardware is the most personable store on Lufkin. The family owned business with knowledge help. You won’t have to chase down help like the big box stores. If your not sure what you need for the job the Abney family will help.

I love this store and do business with them as much as I can. Their fastener center is way better than any retail place in town. The attentiveness to customers is unrivaled and there is way more stuff in that little store than you'd think. Also, a one stop for high quality gifts for any many in your life. Before you go to the big box stores, consider your local hardware store.

Always enjoy going here. For a small store they've had everything I've always went there for. My neighbor went to Lowes the other day for a 1/4-20 NC bolt that i needed to help her fix something. The kid trying to help her had no clue what he was talking about and she called me so I could try to explain to him what we needed. A man waiting for the lowes worker to finish helping her could see he was clueless, he was whispering to her while he was on the phone with me"go to abney and sons".
We would have but it was like 8 at night and they were closed. Abney is right down the road from us.

Great place. My wife ordered a dining room table online and when we received the table the bolts where not included. So I drove down to abney and sons and they saved the day by having the bolts I needed. Very knowledgeable staff.

This is one of the best places in Lufkin. It is a real, old school hardware store. The have nuts and bolts and screws. And plumbing fittings. And electrical parts. And really good knives. And Cast iron cookware. They have a little bit of everything.
Best of all, everyone there is helpful and knowledgeable.
This is what a hardware store is is supposed to be.

If the world had more Abney and Sons Hardware stores, it’ll be a better place.

Someone helped me within the first 1 minute I was there. They literally tried their best to help me with what I needed. I was super impressed.

Great place to go and buy American made. I went to purchase a new knife and was serviced by the owner himself, Mr. Abney was a pleasant person to chat with and was extremely informative. Enjoyed my visit and will definitely be back.

Been coming here since I was kid. My granpa Tony used to bring me here all the time. I love this store. Best hardware store ive wver been to. Eveyone here knows their stuff. They have any tool you need and are willing to hear your requests. Save yourself some time and head aches, just go to this store and they'll sort you out.

Excellent hardware store

This is how hardware stores should be. It's like stepping back in time. They have a friendly, knowledgeable staff, and a wonderful selection of quality products. They also carry some of the best candles and wax melts I've tried.

This is the only family owned hardware store left in Lufkin. Their customer service is outstanding and their prices are very reasonable. Ask any one of the staff about your home project and they'll be able to steer you in the right direction.

They may be a little more expensive than a big box stores but they more than make up for it in customer service. A fine group of people work here. I do business here every chance I can when I have a hardware store need. They have also recently expanded thier square footage and inventory. Highly suggest this place to anyone.

Very helpful staff, very knowledge. Had some hard to find pieces I was not able to find at other hardware stores.
