Hatchet House Arcata

I have been going to the Hatchet House for a few years now, and if you haven’t gone yet you should!! It’s always a fun time and the staff are some of the nicest people you will meet. They are super helpful and friendly, and incredibly knowledgeable. I love throwing axes here and have learned a lot across many sessions. They also have high quality knives to throw too, to throw and sets to purchase, along with axes of course. I love this place and look forward each time I book a lane!

My husband loves throwing axes, but I was new to it. The staff was super helpful and the environment is very welcoming to beginners and advanced throwers. We got to try various axes, knives and my favorite, the shovel! We dropped in on a week night and it we were able to jump in a lane quickly. We loved it and will be back!

Was my first time this past weekend. Right at opening is the best time to go for beginners so you feel like you have room and time to try it out. Staff are friendly and helpful, welcoming to beginners. She posted some balloons for extra challenge.

Love the idea of a league. If we get into it more, we may join.

This is one heck of a great way to spend an afternoon. Went with several other people but didn't bother with trying to keep score, just had fun trying out different style axes (and knives!) for an hour. It doesn't take long to figure out how to get the motion right and it's not that expensive. Will definitely be back for some more fun.

SO much fun! The workers are kind, informative, and impress safety in the best way. Hoping this stays around for a long time!

I reccomend reservations because this place is packed (but not claustrophobic). I took 5 teenagers for my son's 14th birthday party. It was $70 for 2 lanes for an hour for up to 6 people.

They showed us how to throw and then they slowly brought other tools over; knives, thin axes, and a shovel. Each time they showed us how to throw them with single, double, and trick throws. We asked them for balloons to aim at as well.

We paid at the end where our drinks and a t-shirt (for the birthday boy) were added on to the total but even with a tip it still only came to $125. The result was one really amazing birthday experience. We will be back.

My wife and I have come twice for a date night. Both times were blast. Super friendly staff. Beer tastes fresh.

Took my team there for employee appreciation day. Fun! Think you know someone? Wait till you see them with a hatchet in their hands. lol Good times. Other options if you're not into the throwing sharp objects thing. Good times!

Awesome place to have some fun with friends or family. We have been here a few times and every time we are reminded how friendly the staff is! They let you have fun without being too over the shoulder. They are there if you’d like tips or ideas for games but let you also practice on your own. Enjoy a cold beer at your table while throwing. Super clean and COVID cautious. We will be back!

I have never been to a place like this. I was amazed and I met a lot of people. I'm going to learn how to throw a hatchet. I met the owner and she was so kind and helpful. Everyone that worked there was so friendly. I had a great time.

Great location in downtown Eureka, parking is easy and there was a food truck outside. Inside, the staff was super friendly and they had a few beers on tap for you to drink while you take out your aggressions throwing axes, knives, and even garden shovels

We went here for an office celebration. The coaches were great helping us figure out what we were doing. We had six of us and were there for an hour. I think we all could have stayed longer. It was fun and we will definitely be back. Definitely wear comfortable clothes.

My friends and I went here one evening and had a great time. There was 8 of us in total and we paid $70 or so for two lanes for an hour which I felt was a great deal. Staff was super friendly and helpful as well which was great. I definitely recommend this place, especially in a large group.

Had an amazing time! This was really the most fun I had on my trip to see my sister in eureka. Looking forward to going again next time! Staff was socially distancing the different groups which I loved! Plenty of hand sanitizer, And the girl who helped us showed me a couple tips, tricks, and even let me use the tomahawk when I got good!

Great idea for a business. So much fun throwing hatchets and having a drink. Nice professional staff, good for team building or company party.
