Esteban

My favorite burrito in Arcata and possibly Humboldt they have lovely tortillas. I’ve only ever had friendly customer service experiences as well. I’ve yet to go to their new location physically, but had takeout with a friend and it’s as delicious as ever.

Excellent meal, wonderful fish tacos, fast service, great customer service. Thank you, we loved the hot sauce crispy fish tacos. Best rice and beans. Burritos looked great.

One of our favorite spots to eat since we were kids. Always really quality, and we LOVE the homemade tortillas! Also love the mural of Esteban on the front of the restaurant, beautiful way to remember him. We will definitely be eating here again when we come back to visit! A great business to support 💗

The homemade tortillas are excellent. I have had the potato breakfast burrito and the chicken super burrito.

Both were awesome and filling and delicious.

Had an amazing burrito al pastor over the weekend. It was a little messy at the end but that tortilla was so fresh it had to be made on site. Only drawbacks are limited number of tables and on street parking is scarce. Takeout would be a better option.

I had a great carnitas burrito, tortilla was very fresh and I liked their red salsa, my fiance enjoyed his too. Fun place to take your food and sit outside.

Best burritos in town!! Me and my friends eat here all the time at least once or twice a week and we almost always get the same thing the super el pastor it’s amazing! Highly recommend.

Had an amazing carnitas super burrito (spicy: hot). Home made tortillas, great tasting carnitas, and the spicy cheese sauce(?) was delicious. Probably the best burrito I've had in a while.

Walk up Mexican spot, can't go wrong with burritos. They have homemade flour tortillas which make all the difference. Tacos also are very good.

You really can't go wrong with Esteban's. The wet burrito with green sauce and the super veggie burrito was on point, a perfect lunch!

The people are kind and consistent in providing their food and service. Sometimes i wish their was less tortilla for the burrito, more filling, but it doesn't matter because their tortillas are made in shop and delicious.

I have been going to Esteban's since I was at Arcata High 15 years ago, returning at least once a year. The community lost a great man, and I know he will be missed. However, I was glad to see the food has not changed, as far as I can tell. I've always liked Esteban's burritos because he nailed the basics, and that still holds true. The tortillas are key.

This review is absolutely overdue, I wish I would've posted this before Esteban's passing so he could know how appreciated he was. Moving from San Diego to Humboldt, I was expecting to be disappointed by the mexican food in the area. For most of my few years in Humboldt, I was disappointed by the lack of good authentic mexican food, until I finally tried Esteban's. As a vegetarian, it can be hard to find good, filling mexican food but Esteban's veggie burrito became my favorite thing in Humboldt. It is so delicious and so reasonably priced for authentic mexican food in good portions. Once I tried it, I started going WAYY too frequently, to the point where he knew me and my order. Now that I live back in SD, I constantly dream about Esteban's super veggie burrito with the spicy salsa :( I am heartbroken that I never got to tell Esteban how his smile always brightened my day a little more, and that he was such a joy to talk to. He was seriously one of the nicest people I ever met, and he always wanted to make his customers happy. He was such a wonderful part of the community, I hope he knew how appreciated he was. I hope his family is doing well, and I will definitely stop in for a super veggie the next time I am in the area.
