Oncology Services - Mercy Medical Center - Redding, CA

I have been going here for 8 months for Chemotherapy treatments. The staff is wonderful and they really help their clients/patients get through a tough time. Every time I go there it's like walking into Cheers. Every one does know my name.

I have had two emergency events happen to me there, one I keep falling down for no apparent reason and the other I was vomiting blood due to bleeding ulcers. Each time nurses and other staff members appeared out of nowhere, got me into a wheelchair, took my vitals, summoned my doctor to check me out, and called an ambulance for me. I received better, faster, and more professional help there than I would have expected from a fully staffed ER.

My doctor is an Oncologist/Hematoligist which is exactly what I need to help me with my care and treatment. He has gone out of his way to look out for me on several occasions, lilke visiting me when I was in the hospital for an unrelated illness. He has worked my other specialists who are in San Francisco and Sacramento in order to prepare for the next steps in my treatment. I don't believe that I could have received better care anywhere.

Dr Ali has been my oncologist for over six years now. He has always been honest with me and my family. I have trusted him with ant suggestions he has given me for treatment. I thank God my friend Dr. Ali and everyone else at this office for everything thing they have done for me and my family. Frank & Jodi Henderson

Dr. Ali completely neglected my father. I’d like to know if it was his father who had glioblastoma would he have done research on how to treat him properly? If it was his father would he have rushed when listening to his lungs.? Would he have noticed he had dehydration and pneumonia so bad it would be the reason he had to call hospice for comfort care at the end of his life? I think not. If it was his father he would have paid attention and not neglected him. Horrible doctor. Don’t trust him.

You would think that a doctor in this kind of profession would have more sympathy for their patient and families. Cancer is something we all don’t want to hear. I have NOT received any support from Dr.Ali and his team since my father diagnosed. I felt abandoned, alone, confused and lost. This process and journey was the worst feeling I have to go through. Where’s the compassion???

I believe this is inhumane my mother's chest turned purple and split open causing her great pain and they continued giving her treatments with nothing for the pain and no consideration as to the damage they were doing to her. Everyone is different what one can tolerate may not be the same for someone else. They are killing her slowly and I have to watch enough is enough

You have to be referred by a doctor, and I had two refer me. My records have been sent twice. If you are new you have to go thru the referral nurse. I left my name and number four times. NOT EVEN A CURTESY CALL BACK to say we got the message. Zip, zero, nada. Now i understand the 2.0 Yelp rating. Even the worst businesses get a 3.0+

Place has become a joke. And their care of their patients and concern over their wellbeing has gone down hill. Wouldn’t bring my enemy here

Doctor did not show up for our first meeting and the staff do not know where he is.
