Cattlemens Restaurants: Redding

A very large group of us went for a bday dinner. We had reservations, and when we arrived we were greeted and seated quickly. We had a single waitress that was absolutely on it, and kept the whole table in check with drinks, orders, and menu questions. She also split the bill into multiple paying parties for us. I didn't catch her name but she was great. The entire staff was great, and "The Sheriff" (2lb sirloin) was awesome lol

Always enjoy some Cattlemens. My family and I have visited this location several times over the years and it never disappoints. The salad, appetizer, steak, rustler spud, and carrot cake were absolutely delicious. I have never felt, I should have had something different.

Here we are again visiting beautiful Redding and enjoying some amazing sunshine weather accompanied by delicious visits to new restaurants.

This places is huge. They have party/privet meetings dinning rooms. They have large party areas with stage like dinning room, open bar and hangout spots. Also, has a museum, old school dinner restaurant theme.

Things captured my attention, the staff interactions with each other was super friendly, professional and respectful. The layout of the restaurant and lighting was 10/10. Family, friends, and business friendly.

Food:
The food was yummy and delicious. The food value equals the quantity and quality you order. Meaning, quality is fresh and great, and the value of the quantity of food is very good price.

Service:
When we visited, I was not able to talk (medical related reasons), our waiter was so kind and patient. Even though I was not able to speak he always maintained eye contact with me and directing questions to me, also handed me a paper and pen to help me write what I wanted and my questions. Ezekiel was amazing and we appreciate his help with or table orders.

If you are in the area and looking for American old school style, cowboy/girl kinda theme, stop by and give them a shout. We really enjoyed it.

Awesome job. Came in pretty late and Kristen was about to get off but she wanted to make sure I was taken care of so she stayed and waited on me. Had an amazing experience. Service was on point. My steak was cooked perfectly. I eat steaks all over the country and I almost never get it cooked properly. Usually way way overdone. Even when my brother and I get the exact same thing. His is medium rare and mine is medium well. Even at some high end steak houses. That's how significant it was for me to get a perfect steak after a very very long day. Great job everyone.

I had the herb crusted rack of lamb, a salad with balsamic dressing, sourdough bread, and an excellent glass of Cabernet Sauvignon.
The lamb was perfectly cooked to my preference, medium rare, and everything else was prepared perfectly.
My waiter was attentive and the service was excellent! Can't wait to go back for another visit, thanks Cattleman's for another wonderful dining experience!

Maybe it was the timing or just dumb luck, but everything was excellent. The food was amazing (maybe a little on the cold side, but...). Nicole was a top notch server, confident, ready with suggestions, fun. And the atmosphere was relaxed and peaceful with the perfect cowboy-steakhouse vibe.

The best steakhouse. Steaks grilled to perfection. Every dish we ordered was nothing less than perfection!! Whenever i drive I-5 I make it a point to eat here. I live in Portland Oregon.

Stoped here for the Super Bowl and had the porterhouse steak (med rare) and dessert. Steak comes with salad hot bread and fries. Huge and perfectly cooked. Extended happy hour beer pricing and that was fantastic. Our server was super attentive and A+. Wouldn’t hesitate to return again!

It's been awhile since I've been and things haven't changed. Great steaks. The bar area has good seating and doesn't require waiting usually. Plus if you looking to catch any sports that are on then that area has the tvs. Reservations are recommended for the main restaurant side since this place stays packed.

We’ve eaten here many times. This time we got the family Christmas meal for 4. They gave precise cooking/warm up instructions. The quantity of food was massive. And it was all out of this world delicious. We’ve decided to do this every Christmas. The prime rib came out great and so tender it almost melted when you sliced it.

I went here on valentines day February 14, 2023 and everything was fantastic the salad was great and the bread was delicious, a nice loaf enough to feed 4 people, and the beans was enough to feed 4 people full bowl of beans.
But when I went there last weekend some of the food sucked the there was only enough beans to feed one person, and the loaf of bread was maybe enough for 2 people. My brothers rack of lamb was over cooked.
So did you get a new cook /chef .
I'm sorry for giving you a bad review. I'm sure your chef was just having a bad day.

Our server Gary was amazing. Great personality and didn't forget a thing.
Had Potatoe Skins and Deep Fried Brussel Sprouts as appetizers. Great! Both of them.
Their Tomato Bisque soup tasted delicious, my first time ever having it. It was like pizza in a soup. The little bread with the soup was perfect for dipping.
I got a sirloin steak and shrimp skewer. Havent tried it yet, ill be having it for lunch today, because i was so full from everything else.
My hubby got the Porterhouse Steak and Scampi. The steak was so tender you could cut it with a fork and butterknife. He loved it.
Great good. Spent a total of $144 for all. Each of us had a drink too.

Food was delicious and portions were more than adequate. The bread before the dinner was as if it came from the oven to your table. I ordered a lobster tail and a two pound steak and it was certainly a plate full of tender juicy delight! My lobster tail was a bit raw in the middle but still great. Highly recommend it if you're looking to reward yourself with a much deserved dinner for you and your loved ones

This place is a Redding classic. Western steakhouse themed. Food is not only good the portions are huge and prices are fair. Nate was our server last visit and went above and beyond. You hardly ever get good service anymore so thanks Nate! Drinks are also good 👍🏻

The waitresses were amazing. They helped me find many gluten free option on the menu. I was recommended the beef ribs by my waitress. They were gigantic. Like the size of dinosaur ribs. They were also incredible. Everyone at the table was jealous of my food and I don't blame them.

My whole office team had a wonderful night out! Food, service, and atmosphere were phenomenal. Hailey was a fantastic and friendly server! We all truly had a blast! Highly recommend. 👍🏻

Cattlemens was a great restaurant! Greeted right away by friendly staff. Clean restaurant. Server brought warm bread right away. Generous butter!! Salad was simple, but good. Pork ribs and prime rib were amazing. Loaded baked potato was a little light on the bacon and cheese for an additional $1.98, however the rest of the high caliber service kept the experience at 5 stars.

The service by Roxanne was amazing really made the night feel special. She was really attentive to our needs and professional in every way. Helped us feel really welcome during our road trip.

We ordered the steak witch was really good the two porterhouses was good perfectly with a beautiful char. I also really enjoyed the doubled baked potatoes and the "fixings" that come with all the entrees.

This place is great for larger group and family.

Doggone delish. Can't go wrong with the prime rib or the ribeye. The loaded potato skins are enough to feed an army, but stay away from the brussel sprouts. Those were my only complaint. They were burnt and greasy. The service was ok, but didn't care for our waiter who seemed overwhelmed even though we were his only table for most of the time. I'd return simply based on the steaks... my goodness! Yum!
