We always come here to wash, because it is the cleanest and well maintained site. The card system is very efficient and if you're just passing though like we were (since we don't live in town anymore but just visit every few years), you can pay at the register and they will use a laundry card to start your loads for you.

Very clean and maintained. Lots of newer machines that run on a card system yo get there. Very easy to get card and use. Very helpful and happy younger staff. Patrons were younger and obvious surfers/campers. Very hip crowd for a laundromat. ;) Soap and swag sold at counter. Highly recommended.

Emerald City Laundry is hands down the best laundry facility in Humboldt County. I recently visited because my wife and I are waiting for our new washer/dryer to arrive. I had the pleasure of bumping into the owner who immediately struck me as someone who is kind and cares about each and every customer that comes in. This positivity obviously is infectious because the staff was amazing as well. I dropped off our laundry to have it washed and folded. The employees that were there when I dropped it off were different from when I picked it up and the customer service was first class across the board. I was thoroughly impressed with state of the art Huebsch machines that left our clothes feeling like they were washed by your grandmother! I highly recommend Emerald City Laundry, if you haven’t been, you wouldn’t understand!

Quick and clean, plus no need to scrounge for quarters! There's also the awesome mural outside.

Very clean! You don’t need quarters either, you can even pay with a debit card. Very friendly and helpful staff!

Great dry cleaning, plenty of washer dryers, clean and good customer service. While waiting for load to finish, nice shopping and restaurants nearby.

Clean, friendly, helpful, and affordable. I was skeptical, but the second time around, I found myself feeling comfortable. There is a free transfer service that makes running errands easier. Check it out! If you don't like it, that's okay! You'll find what works for you!

Helpful attendant on duty. You can choose between small, medium, and large machines. I spent $15 on w & d two medium loads + 2 containers of detergent. The process was fast. The environment is nice. It was great to pay with a card and not have to bring coins.

Did u know they transfer your clothes from the washer 2 the dryer for free . Up to 4 loads for free. 1$ each additional wash. Staff are up beat and professional. Beautiful & Clean envoirnment . Thank u 4 your help with my Laundry. U R Very Appreciated . Just saying.

It was clean and the newest laundrymat I've ever been in. Staff was helpful. All machines are pay by card but you can give the staff money and they will start the machines. Dryers worked great.

Love it here! So easy to do laundry while doing errands! Only have used their transfer service, will try fold service next time.

This attended laundry is clean and uncrowded. The attendant was very helpful especially since we were just traveling through and did not have experience with their payment system. Would definitely recommend this laundry. They also have drop off laundry service.

I've never been to a laundromat that has a staff member there to answer your questions! Plus, everyone there was wearing masks, which made me feel a whole lot safer, especially since I had my (unvaccinated) 4 year old with me. 🥰 Thank you for keeping us safe. We'll definitely be back. I like this place. it's a little pricey and you have to purchase a laundry card, so it's not the best spot for a one time wash.
Clean and friendly with a good selection of hypoallergenic products, and the will give you are free switch to the dryer

I'm in love with their wash and fold service. It ain't cheap, but they match, neatly fold, organize and bind together the items by category/size (ex. child vs adult, and even women's size 10 vs size 12, dish towels, bedding, etc). And whoever does it perfectly folds the fitted sheets too. Their OCD speaks to mine. Their staff is very friendly too. Oh and if you're doing your own laundry, you can leave them your laundry card and they will swap your laundry from the washer to the dryer for free....go lunch, run some errands, then come back and simply fold. The place is prettt clean. They do get super busy, so I recommend early morning. My only issue is that even if/when your clothes don't go in smelling like pot, they definitely do on the way out, but it fades in a couple of hours or so. Just not cool when it is your kids clothes or work uniforms. Their free WiFi needs a little strength boost and password too.

Best laundromat ever!!! Staff are super nice, tables and chairs to work at while you wait, & a free service which puts your laundry into the drier. This allows me to drop off my laundry and run errands for no extra charge. Super clean. Open until midnight. Only downside is super slow wifi.

Love this place, awesome staff, all the services and amenities. Large selection of washers and dryers that work, laundry transfer service. Very clean!!

It's not the cheapest laundromat in Arcata, but it's the best for several reasons.

Having a card that they give you that you can load from cash or credit/debit card vastly surpasses having to stock up on quarters IMO. If you need to do a load or two on the fly, you sit have to make that extra trip to the bank to get quarters.

The washers have waaaay more settings than in the other laundromats I've been to, like extra heavy washes for dog blankets and extra extract to wring out more water (great for clothes you have to hang-dry).

Most of the time they have a couple attendants on the floor/behind the counter, since they have wash/dry/fold services and such. I never feel like my laundry or supplies are going to be stolen like I do at other places. Also, I've forgotten items before, a quilt in its own dryer, and when I realized the next day and called in, they had it. If you forget your laundry, they bag it and put it in the back room. To get it back to charge you $5 or something like that, but the fact that you can get it back at all is pretty sweet.

They also have this free transfer service that I adore. Basically, you start your laundry in washers however you want, tell them how you want it dried, then give them your card and leave. They will ask how hot and how long, and based upon that will tell you how much it will cost and when you can come back to pick it up. They give you magnet labels to stick on your washers and then they will stick those on the dryers when they move your laundry so there's no confusion. It's a pretty nifty process that's allowed me to multitask laundry with other errands.

They have free wifi, and a good selection of laundry products in case you forget yours. There are lots of chairs, tables for sitting and waiting as well as for folding laundry. They usually have the radio playing and there's a lot of windows, so it has a very warm, welcoming feel. Not at all like the dingy laundromats elsewhere.

I guess they do pickup and drop off too, though I haven't used that. I imagine it would be very useful for busy moms, and elderly and disabled folks. Basically they have everything you could want in a laundromat for not that much more than others. After trying them, I wouldn't take my laundry anywhere else.
