Intermountain Health Platte Valley Hospital

We took our 4 year old in last night and the staff was all so kind and caring! Our nurse, Carolyn, was soooooo sweet to our kiddo, the people in Triage were so kind and even came back to check on our kiddo. His PA, Noel, was so patient while our kid just chatted away. Even the facilities lady who popped in took the time to tell my son not to be scared. When we left the whole staff said goodbye to him, even folks who didn't even have him as a patient. Even though he wasn't super sick like most of their patients, the staff still took great care of him (and us).

I just love this hospital - every time we have come here for various visits (ER, maternity, tests), we always get such great care. I truly feel like the staff here really care and take the time to make sure you feel comfortable about your care (or the care of your loved ones).

I wish I had noted every person's name, but I want to thank the ED for their care yesterday. You guys always take care of us!

My mom (age 76) had knee surgery here on 4/3/2023. She stayed overnight for one night following the surgery. Everyone she interacted with was friendly and caring. They made her feel like they really cared for her well being. They assessed and managed her pain. The room was comfortable. The couch converted into a small bed that I used to stay the night with her. Thank you.

Extremely good experience, I was on a bed within 15 minutes of my arrival. It was only a 10-15 wait for the Dr. He was very friendly, professional and spent quite a bit of time explaining my condition to me, steps to avoid a reoccurrence and treatment was quick and painless.
I had been to that ER about 2 years ago and was also very empresed at that time.

The L&D department and staff are amazing! We had a wonderful experience delivering here. Dr. Mahoney respected our birthing plan and did an incredible job reassuring us and delivering our child. Every nurse was respectful, accommodating, and made our overall experience wonderful.

The lactation department answered all our questions and even took dedicated time to make sure we had everything we needed!

We lost a dear friend last week due to a cardiac event. He was taken to Platte Valley Medical Center. We cannot thank everyone enough for the gallant effort shown by the staff that cared for him and the compassion that was shown to his family.
Chaplin Kim and cardiologist Dr. Rabor were amazing along with all the other nurses and staff we dealt with.
My wife has been in healthcare for 33 years and we have made several trips to your faciliy, she is always so impressed by
the professionalism and kindness given us.
We will continue to be huge supporters of your hospital and thank you from the bottom of our hearts for the care given us.

I was very sick and went to emergency with a fever of 104. I was really confused and don't remember most of it but my wife told me they took excellent care of me. I feel noticeable better and it appears they did a good job.

Being 76 years old, ER visits have become more frequent than ever before. St. Joe' is the best organized, kindest and effective facility I have encountered.

I love this hospital. Everyone that works here are really nice. They have great bed side manner. Today I had surgery and they sent me home with a goodie bag of food that met my food allergie. 😋

Hospital is beautiful. Nurses, doctors, techs, and the entire staff were some of the most kind and considerant professionals I have come across in my MANY surgeries. I can't think of one bad thing to say about my recent encounter with both hospital and staff. Was SO worth the half hour drive!

We had a phenomenal experience delivering our first baby at SCL. We were so nervous as first time parents, but from the moment we walked in the doors the staff was truly incredible. Jessica in labor and delivery was an actual angel and gave us so much reassurance, even as we had to do an unplanned C-section. Aimee on mom and baby took such great care of us and spent so much time making us feel completely at ease. The facility was beautiful and the staff was so accommodating. I also cannot speak highly enough about Sarah from lactation as she took the time needed to help me get a grasp on breastfeeding. I loved the fact that it is a smaller hospital because it made everything feel more personal. We will definitely be delivering all out future babies here!

The doctors here are extremely professional in the ER and on the in patient floors. The nurses are amazing and are extremely kind. They addresses my pain which meant we started with some low grade stuff and then moved up to the more hard core stuff. The rooms in the ER were extremely clean. The in patient rooms are beautiful! Thank you for taking care of me! You all deserve a long vacation! Especially after these past three years!

I gave birth to my daughter at Platte Valley last week. My birth was complicated and recovery was very tough for me, but I can’t sing high enough praises for the staff at Platte Valley.

During labor, we were treated with tenderness and patience by nurses Melanie and Carrie. I was extremely anxious, but was tended to often and treated with such care that I was able to calm down over and over again. Dr. Proko, who performed my epidural, handled my strange resistance to pain meds beautifully, coming back every two hours on the dot to up my dose and make sure I was okay. Dr. Hill delivered our baby girl and kept me safe during some scary unexpected bleeding. He was cool as a cucumber!

Once I was over in the mom & baby unit, I again experienced some rough symptoms that I found difficult to cope with. Every single nurse made me feel as though I wasn’t a bother and took such great care of my baby and myself. Special thank you to Anna, Janet, and Danielle for helping me through the worst of it. Lastly, Kayla, the lactation consultant, was amazing and so encouraging. You can tell how much she loves her job and her passion for breastfeeding. I think I remembered everyone, but the truth is, there was not one member of the staff that didn’t go above and beyond for us.

The food and facilities were excellent. All around a very positive experience despite being such a scary and challenging time.

I wanted to take the time to put this review in to encourage any moms nervous to give birth. If you choose Platte Valley, you will be well taken care of.

I want to give all the nurses and Dr. Wilson a thank you for treating. I just had a baby
C-Section about 2 1/2 weeks ago and very pleased with the practice. I can’t remember all names of the nurses in the nursery, but I want to tell them thank from Alicia Stoaks. My baby is doing well. The Pediatricians says she is healthy. I also want apologize to Melissa. I couldn’t find my baby milk when I got home and I was frustrated I couldn’t find it, so my significant other went in and she said she put it in ice. I found it once my finance said that. She was good to. Give her a raise. Thanks again Alicia.
PS the emergency people are good as well. I came back week later with a high fever and they took care of me.

All Doctors and nurses were courteous and thorough on both of my visits as well as the paramedics. God Bless all of you. Everyone of you were my " SPIRIT LIFTER " indeed. Have a great day. Just following my heart.🌱

I delivered my baby here on 1/14. The nurses and doctors were attentive, wonderful, and made my stay really nice considering how bad labor sucks. I wanted to mention a special compliment to Stacy Bass of the night nurses. She saw me at my worst and most uncomfortable but helped me through everything and made sure to go the extra mile! If I ever have another baby (please God no - I forgot how awful labor and recovery are 🤣) I would hope to have the same people to support me through it.

My husband had surgery at Platte Valley recently. From check in desk to everyone involved in overnight stay was the very best care. The CNAs and the nursing staff were so attentive and were wonderful. OT and PT were so helpful. The food was very good n staff was great with delivering the food to the room even for guest. The volunteers were so helpful too. High 5 for all of you. Great job 👍

My wife went here for her surgery and absolutely everyone from the check in desk to the discharge nurse and all in between were wonderful. Shout-out to our overnight nurse Caity for being the absolute best. She was so kind, careful and attentive to our every need. This facility has the top level of comfort in mind and helps you even through the recovery. The food they bring you was also top notch. We had some visits from volunteers and even a doggie. What a wonderful facility.

The staff in the emergency department are fantastic! Everyone was so kind and walked me through every step of each procedure. While visiting the ED is never a desirable experience, highly recommend getting care here when necessary.

I went in to see doctor Haffner. Everyone was so kind. I locked my keys in my car and my phone battery had died. The people in the gift shop charged my phone for me while I went to my doctor's appointment. That was so kind. I didn't know what I was gonna do to call roadside help service. But they help me extremely. Doctor Haffner Was very professional and very helpful and it's going to do my surgery tomorrow.❤😊

Everyone here was absolutely wonderful to my husband. He went to the ER and the staff was friendly and evaluated him promptly. They set out expectations for test results and got us in and out of there probably the quickest for an ER that I've ever been to. Doctor took the time to fully explain his condition and help us set up a game plan for future treatment.
