Americana Modern Hotel

This is the perfect place to stay for people with pets! We have two ESA cats, and it is very difficult to find a cat friendly place to stay overnight. We arrived late, and the front desk agent was incredibly friendly and helpful. Our room was absolutely perfect! It was clean, and super easy with our cats. The beds were incredibly comfortable, and the walk-in shower was an unexpected bonus. We will definitely stay here again on any of our stopovers on our road trips!

The rooms are clean, cozy and spacious. You'll have the basics that well laid out and very comfy. They allow pets and have treats for them. It's right next to a number of delicious dinner and breakfast places that are all very walkable. In the front office are coffee, tea and snacks. The staff are always exuberant, helpful and happy to see you. It's my go-to stop in Redding.

The room was clean, small but the bathroom was great. It would’ve been nice to have 2 chairs in the room. Staff was super friendly and helpful. Parking was easy. We liked the outdoor green space to hang out. It was also pet friendly.

I like seeing older motel properties renovated. They have character. Our room was pet friendly. The floor had bare concrete which suited us fine more hygienic. The bed was very comfortable. Good pillows and towels. Would stay again.

Very clean and updated motel, walking distance to restaurants and shops. Every detail has been attended to and makes this motel an enjoyable stay. Customer service was excellent, including being able to text the front desk if we needed anything. The climate control system was brand new and worked perfectly. The microwave in our room was retro and very cute. Everything felt new and clean, making it a relaxing place to stay. Highly recommend!

It was a nice experience there not only because the rooms are good, service was good but also they communicated before and after you check in there. Checking in was hassle free although I booked from Expedia. The reception was warm. Nice wifi connectivity, chill area, plenty of parking, options of nearby restaurants. They also offer complimentary coffee, water and little snacks. Overall nice place to stay.

This place caught my eye because it's pet friendly and they only charge $25 for the pet fee. The room was simple, but clean. I appreciate a room with no carpet, as most places have an old stale smell to them. They're located downtown, so you can take advantage of the many restaurants within walking distance. I totally did!. One last important thing is, the customer service is awesome. I'd definitely stay here again.

This spot is definitely a GEM 💎 I can’t say enough good things!! The staff were kind, helpful and friendly! The room was beautiful comfortable and roomy. If I lived closer I would book this spot just to get away and chill. It will be my choice for now on for my midway stop!

This hotel was exceptional in many ways.
I received texts before arrival welcoming me. The people at check in and out were very friendly. The motel itself I very updated and clean. The thickest bath towels I’ve ever seen in a motel. Free bottled water in the office and coffee/tea and granola bars in the morning. Cute courtyard with lots of tables, chairs, games and even a fire pit. Walkable to many restaurants and breweries. Very affordable price and free parking. We were in a road trip and stayed at another motel just down the road a week before and it was disappointing. We would definitely recommend and stay again at The Americana Modern Motel again!

Stayed here while I was passing through town. Good size room. Clean. Well furnished. Only had a shower though. Comfortable bed. The check in staff were very friendly and welcoming. Easy check in and out. They had complimentary water, tea and snacks in the lobby which I felt was a nice gesture. I’d stay here again if my travels permitted.

Very clean. For a small space it was spacious. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom was very modern. Bring ear plugs since the hotel is by a busy road. Great friendly service!

We had some trouble locating the hotel. Alex and Kevin tag teamed to get us there by meeting us on the street!! Can't ask for better service than that. The room was wonderful...clean and so comfortable! Easy walking to restaurants and libations. Cute town. We highly recommend this place!

We are an average size family, however, we like to have our own beds. Finding a room with 3 different beds in the SAME room without having to rent 2-3 different rooms was a HUGE PLUS for us. It was immaculately clean and free of odors. I loved the ability to be able to text the front desk because sometimes you just don’t want to have to go down to the office. We were completely satisfied!

overall a pretty good spot! One of the better remodels of an older motel that I’ve seen. It was clean and cute. They probably need a second pillow case on the pillows - there were old sweat stains or jsut whatever human stains that were visible on the ends. The shower curtain didn’t really keep water from getting out of the shower basin. Again - overall a good and comfy spot.

Pleasant and helpful staff, clean rooms, nice thick towels, hot water. A little noisy and the bed was a little too firm for me, but that’s just personal taste.

Of all the hotels in Redding that I stayed in, Americana Modern Hotel takes home the top score . Located 4 minutes from the hospital that I work for . Very close to the freeway Interstate 5 South, it’s easily accessible. The room has ample space. It has all the amenities that I need . TV, a/c, microwave, good size refrigerator and the bathroom is huge. The hot water is always available. Parking is free and my room is in front of my parking space which I love very much. I don’t have to ride elevators or climb stairs hauling my bags.WiFi is also free. The staff is very helpful and nice. Always with a smile in their face and willing to work with you when necessary. Lastly, they have a coin operated working washer and dryer.. A big plus for me since I always have laundry being an ICU Nurse.
The price is also reasonable.

Let me start:

Service 10/10 - I called the day of our arrival and asked if it was possible to hold the booking for 2-3 hours to officially confirm our stay and the lady on the phone was so accommodating. We arrived in the middle of the night shortly before 3 a.m. We were greeted by a welcoming face and assisted in finding us a parking spot within the premises even when there was no spot available.
Upon leaving, again the lady I spoke with at the initial call was there to welcome us with a smile and asked friendly if everything was good with our stay.

Rooms 10/10 - we booked a double king room for the night for 4 persons (2 adults 1 toddler 1 infant) it was very spacious the beds were comfortable and had 4 pillows on each bed! Then you have two areas to place your bags. There is a desk for working travelers and a nice big screen tv. The floors were concrete flooring no carpets, (which might be a nice addition). The bathroom was very spacious and the showers have a good amount of room especially if you have kids. I may add our room was wheelchair accessible and handicap friendly.

Cleanliness 9/10 - I would’ve given a 10/10 if my husband didn’t step in one spot on the floor that was sticky (Note, it was a small area and easily to be missed even in your home), but for a hotel I would want it to be one of the cleanest or thoroughly inspected areas because of the foot traffic. Other than that the beds and bathrooms were very clean!

Location 10/10 - the location is super close to downtown. It is walking distance. What is also nice is that it isn’t far from the I5 freeway. About 3 min once you exit which is very convenient if you are just passing through for a night.

Accommodation 10/10 - we travelled with our dog and they were very welcoming about having our pet there. The pet deposit is an extra $25 a night.

Stayed here a year ago visiting from Canada. Beautiful Motel in a safe location. There were some food places close by which was nice. Will be returning next time we return to Cali. Highly recommend this place!

The area is perfect and the rooms are updated and clean. Its is a walking location to the Garden of Lights. The staff is super friendly and helpful too. Hands down will stay here again if I come back to Redding. Thank you!
