What a hidden gem! From the moment you walk in everyone treated me with hospitality. They make you feel like a very honored guest. Mario was my bartender. He was courteous and professional. He was extremely knowledgeable about the spirits. I enjoyed my time and cannot wait to go back. When you make the reservation it states that the gratuity is added, but Mario was so great you want to tip more.

I've been a regular at B&GC since the week they opened 7 years ago, and I can confidently say they've only gotten better with time. This last visit was truly exceptional.

Service: Micah and Mario were the absolute stars of the show. They were incredibly attentive, detail-oriented, and true masters of their craft. They went above and beyond to ensure we had an unforgettable experience.

Cocktails: This was probably the best menu I've seen in their 7 years. Their on-menu cocktails were some of the best we've had in any upscale bar, but their expertise truly shone when we ventured off-menu for "bartender's choice" creations.

Bespoke Cocktails: We opted for two bespoke cocktails: a key-lime pie and a sherry black Manhattan. Micah meticulously crafted each drink, asking specific questions to understand our preferences and ensure he was creating something unique and impressive.

Key Lime Pie: Micah used his own lime cordial recipe to create this masterpiece, and even offered us an extra sip to appreciate the intensity of the flavor.

Black Manhattan with Sherry: As we mentioned our upcoming trip to Spain, Micah shared his passion for sherry and how he incorporated it into our Manhattan. He truly elevated the classic cocktail with his knowledge and expertise.

Overall Experience: This was some of the best time I've spent at a bar in years. Micah and Mario's genuine passion for cocktails and their dedication to crafting unique experiences for their guests truly set B&GC apart. Thank you for an unforgettable evening! We can't wait to return and try your next menu creations.

The no flour dessert was amazing! Our drink masters were phenomenal, making concoctions to both surprise and tastefully delight. The lights cast a perfect glow to bring the experience together while simultaneously leaving an air of mystery around those not in your party. A truly comfortable experience and a place to bring anyone whom you'd like to impress.

Great spot, almost missed it walking by, so truly fulfilled the speakeasy vibe! Loved being able to sit at the bar and watch the bartenders magic live at work. Shout out to Mario who took care of us, made us excellent drinks and matched our chatty vibe while making numerous cocktails at the same time. Loved the whole time!

This bar is incredible! A few things I wish I knew before going. The venue is really small, so I'd recommend having a reservation and leaving at least 20 minutes extra to find this underground speakeasy. Half the fun is finding it! After the help of four incredibly nice strangers we found the place and it is a gem. The bartenders are all artists. The always foggy in London drink comes in a teacup and it is amazing!! Dylan is the most incredible bartender I've ever met. I asked him to make me a surprise drink, a mocktini and it was the most delicious drink I've ever drank in my life. I will always remember this place. We went on Alice in Wonderland night and I feel so lucky to have gotten in. Honestly I will probably ask Dylan to make me a surprise drink rather than ordering from the menu. I can't say enough about his talent.

Went for the first time last night on a Date Night with my beautiful wife. Place was awesome, the cool factor of having to walk down an alley ring a door bell and be lead into the bar itself was great. The staff was friendly and greeted you with smiles. Now the service was above and beyond. They crafted your drinks to your taste and helped guide you to a unique experience. If able try and request a table to get that full lounge experience. But if stopping in for a quick few the bar is a great spot. All drinks are made with the highest level of experience and quality. Thank you again for the wonderful hospitality and can’t wait until our next visit!!! You guys keep up the great work and professional hospitality!!!

Even months after our visit, my husband still talks about how great our experience was. If possible, I would highly recommend sitting at the bar - we had the chance to chat with and get drink recommendations from both the bartenders and other patrons. Every drink we tried was excellent and we loved the bartender's passion for creating customized cocktails based on flavors we enjoyed. If only we lived closer!

best speak easy in denver! they have a massive menu to chose from, but what's even better than that? there's a drink option "take a chance"! just tell them your favorite spirit, and they take it from there! (you can also tell them your no gos, or fav flavors too, although it lessens the surprize) definitely might take you a second to find this place, it is a speakeasy afterall. you have to text for a reservation, do so in advance, not day of! they might not respond. food is pricey for what you get, maybe stick to cocktails

I've been going here for years, since access was by word of mouth only. It's always been great. I moved away a few years ago, and I was recently back in town for a few days. I stopped by with some friends and family, and I'm happy to say that the quality is still excellent. We did go on a quiet Sunday night, and for the best experience, I recommend trying to do the same. Our bartender this time, Dylan, was very good at his craft. He made us several custom rounds of shots and cocktails according to our tastes, and all of them were exceptional.

This has to be our favorite bar/speakeasy to date. My fiancé and I went twice during our stay in Denver last year (I just never got around to writing this review), and we still think about this place regularly. Unfortunately we missed our annual snowboard trip to Denver this year so we did not get to go back to B&GC as planned. I made a reservation way ahead of time and I'm so glad that I did. Staff was wonderful and very accommodating when we asked if we could return after our 1st visit. Bartenders were so knowledgeable and fun. We tried a few different bourbons and variations of our favorite drinks here. Every single drink we had was wonderful.

There were some light bites available but we did not try those on our visit.

I havre wanted to go here for a LONG TIME! We live in Estes Park and I've always heard about this place. The prices are competitive for what they offer. Additionally, there is only seating for about 30 people, which makes it feel all the more exclusive. It was a Monday evening, so it wasn't too busy. One of the bartenders educated us on the story behind speak-easy bars and he was extremely friendly and kind. I can't recall his name, but it was the guy working Monday, 4/17/2023. He is truly an asset to your bar.

My only criticism is the entrance protocol. You hit a buzzer in an alley and wait for someone to open the door. However, the same person that lets you in also seats you in the basement. If it were late at night and he was taking a long time to seat someone, the person sitting in the alley might get bored and leave. I think two hosts would be ideal so they don't miss out on business.

If you are going and they don't open the door immediately, have patience, they will open the door eventually!

Follow the discrete alleyway entrance down a path to this underground cocktail bar. Upon arrival you've be greeted with soft lighting, warm leather seating and a beautiful display of a stocked bar full of spirits from around the world. Delicious bites await the palate; bacon wrapped dates with a perfectly spiced mustard sauce, deviled eggs, marinated olives and more! Browse the Time Magazine styled menu for a wide range of cocktails or order something off menu, letting the bartenders' creativity come through (pictured). Expensive, but worth the experience. Finally got the chance to come here last weekend and it was the best time! I loved how hidden and almost secretive this place is! It took my bf and I a second to find where it was but once we found it we loveeeed it! We got sat right at the bar and right away the bar tenders were super attentive , kind and super informative! We loved seeing all the cool and custom drinks they have. They are even able to make custom drinks based on what you like! It was such a fun atmosphere and not overwhelming like some bars could be. To go with our drinks we got a charcuterie board and it was a pretty decent board nothing to crazy but the bread that came with it was our fave. Will for sure be coming back ! :)

My gorgeous fiancé and I found out about B&GC and are in love with this place. The atmosphere is amazing and we’d love to hire Dillon as our wedding reception bartender.
He goes above and beyond and makes amazing cocktails! Simply the best!!!

Managed reached out and was very cordial and explained how small the space was. I will edit review but do make sure to make reservations especially on weekend nights otherwise you will not get in.

As someone who doesn't drink, having the "Dealers Choice" options was FANTASTIC for N/A options. Mario was our bartender and giving him a base spirit (apertivo) and some flavors, he crafted 4 different drinks for my fiancee and I that were all special and unique, the food certainly isn't the star of the show (and quite frankly is a bit of a weak point), but overall, a great experience, immaculate vibes (though it can get a bit noisy), and a great date night spot.

Very cool and hidden gem in Denver. Employees and staff are top notch and professional. Bartenders are by far the best I’ve seen and the drinks are perfectly mixed.
