Exit Ate Restaurant

This place was amazing! I was going up to New Hampshire for vacation when I had to stop and get something to eat. This place had the best steak grinder I have ever had. It’s better than my local pizza restaurant and subway combined! It sucks that this restaurant is 2 1/2 hours away from me. If I lived in the area, I would be coming here frequently. I also liked that there were kids serving food and the owner was the nicest owner of a restaurant that I have ever met.

First time eating here and I will definitely be back! Food was more delicious than what the pictures actually show, and our server Danielle was prompt, very efficient, and super friendly.

Delicious! Plenty of spacious seating. The waitress we had Julie was awesome! On weekends there is an option of the menu or the breakfast buffet! Buffet included pancakes, french toast, bacon, sausage, scrambled eggs, homefries, hash, and had a whole fruit/yogurt bar! In our party of four the adults ordered off the menu and my daughter enjoyed the buffet(buffet prices vary from adult to child). On the menu they offer a build your own omelet option!

Pictures include two different omelets one with a side of bacon (4slices in an order). The last picture is of a mostly eaten kids buffet, she really enjoyed the fruit option!
Ofcourse being in Vermont there was REAL Syrup for your pancakes and french toast!

Danielle was an amazing waitress and fast. Eggs Florentine was amazing both times I had it. Husband loved eggs benedict. Belgium waffles were great too and of course the vermont syrup is a must try!

Nice little diner off the highway. They seemed a bit understaffed, but hey who isn't. Food was great and they were nice people

Great, cute little place to stop, the waitresses were so sweet and took us in even though it was close to the end of their day. It was filling and well made. 10 out of 10 would eat here again. I've never seen a 'Rachel' with a Reuben before so that was a fun thing to see too!

Very polite staff, who were very short staffed… I thought everything arrive in a timely manner. Food was amazing, home made hash, bread, real butter and VT maple syrup!!

Very great place to eat. Prices are well in line with the market given the higher costs for everything.

Waitress was helpful and sweet, food was delicious. Unfortunately this restaurant is closing down, due to new owners. Very sad and upsetting for those who love this place.

We are from Ohio and just passing through. We were so happy with this choice. The food was great. Service was friendly even though she was the only one there and it was packed.

Great place. Luckily, we found it on our travels to Gorham. It's newly open so go support.

We discovered Exit Ate on a family vacation trip and are very glad we stopped! We really enjoyed this family restaurant. The owners were friendly and kind, and the food was simply delicious - all homemade! - and the facility was very clean. Will most definitely stop again if we have the chance! (The pastrami sandwich was delicious and plentiful, and the fries were handcut ...so YUM!)

This is by far the best breakfast spot I have been to in years, menu is fantastic and accommodates just about any picky eaters! Food was top notch and new owners were nothing but awesome to deal with! Highly recommended stop on your travels in that area!

Friendly service in the foothills of My Ascutney. Nice buffet we the variety, big town feel in a small town. Enjoy.

The staff were straight up fast and courteous.

Service was excellent & the place was very clean. Food was great- hand cut fries, hand-patted burger, & fresh breaded chicken fingers. We were one of three tables between 12:30 & 1:30- a time you'd think would be pretty busy. The waitress said they were under new ownership, so maybe they're still in an adjustment period. Convenient location bc it's right off the highway.

We moved from Texas a year and a half ago and this is truly authentic Southern cooking. I had the country fried steak and it was exactly what I was hoping for.

It's also hand made and affordable. Go. Seriously. Try for yourself.

Very convenient off the highway. Great food. A traditional American Style Diner type of food menu. Decent prices but most of all excellent service in my experience. I had the reuben and it was really phenomenal. Not expected for a Roadside Diner like this but very enjoyable. My son had a Mushroom Swiss burger and was very pleased with it. Apparently the fish is fish brought in fresh every other day or so and not frozen at all. Thursday's they have a fish fry that is supposedly really good. Someday I hope to go to it.

This is the best breakfast place by far. I have yet to eat lunch there. I am sure it would be just as amazing as the breakfast. My husband and I ate there two mornings in a row. The owner/chef did not disappoint. The omelettes on the first morning were picture perfect and tasted amazingly amazing. The stuffed breakfast bowl I had on the second morning was even better then the omelette. The croissant bowl was flaky awesomeness and tasted just as awesome. The owner and waitress were so friendly. I recommend this place 1000%.

It's was clean and comfy. I loved the Buffalo burrito wrap, absolutely delicious 😋! The waitress was fun, funny and lively. Would definitely recommend if you want a good place, great atmosphere to eat in. It had a country charm and I enjoyed it very much.
