We went for an experience with tea and a tour of this most lovely place. I learned of women who worked to get the vote. I saw beautiful artifacts and heard the history of the home. Then I was treated to wonderful pastries and delicious tea. I recommend that if you appreciate beauty, if you enjoy history, make sure a visit to this center is on your agenda!

We had the best tour guide! We went early on a Saturday morning and it was a very small group so we could ask all kinds of questions and learn a lot of new information not just about the families who lived in this house, but also about Denver during that time. This is a great museum experience for all ages. There are so many fun things to look at here are some pictures of the things I thought were particularly interesting.

Such a special place, they share the story of my great grandmother was very proud and loved being able to share this with my son. Our tour guide was the sweetest.

Wonderful guided tours of a beautiful old historic home and history of the Evans family who owned and inhabited the house for more than 100 years.
Only somewhat focused on the women's history aspect, but it was in there.
More than with the cost of admission. So glad I made this stop a part of my time in Denver.

A glamorous house that was built over a hundred years ago. I love the deco of this house and it is truly inspiring how gorgeous this house is.

Our guide was super sweet and nice as well. Recommended if you’re into interior design.

Great museum pretty close to downtown easily accessible via public transportation. A museum that contains an immaculately maintained home with many artifacts that were handed down for multiple generations and still flawless after many years. The tour guides give a rich history and have in depth knowledge of the many different artifacts around the house.

Went during Denver arts week which happens during the first Saturday of November where multiple art museums graciously open up their doors for free between 5-10pm.

Museum admission is not expensive on most other days and it’s a fantastic way to explore some history and immerse yourself in the life of someone with a house built almost 150 years ago.

This is a beautiful home with rich history. Our tour guide, Judy, was very knowledgeable about the house and the families that lived there. This was definitely a highlight of our trip!

The house, which is in amazing as-original condition, and with all of its incredible original furnishings is a fascinating piece of history in itself. Our extremely knowledgeable tour guide really enhanced the experience of walking through the home. She was well versed on the history of the home and the people who lived there. She said she was a history major and my wife and I found her to be both fun and very well informed. The guide not only knew the history of the home but of the politics and conventions of earlier eras in the home and family histories. I have been to several "old house" style museums and this was easily one of the most enjoyable and educational of them all. Highly recommend!

Amazing story and artifacts if that's the word I should use right there, lol.

What a gem of a museum! This is one of the most remarkable collections of original furniture, art, and family momentos that I have seen in a house museum. The building itself is beautifully preserved, with the original interior details all superbly maintained. The staff are exceptionally friendly and well informed about the history of the house and of the era of its heyday. My special thanks to Grace for being such a gracious (no pun intended) guide and virtual hostess.

The home of a family who had great impact to the Denver area in terms of art and women's rights during the late 1800s to the early 1900's. This original and very well kept home is very interesting archectually and the original pieces of furniture, art, books, etc. give a real sense of the histories of the families that owned the home.

I learned so much about the Evans family! I loved the way the tour focused on one family but was able to bring in general details of decades past to share with my family about how things used to be. Even my kids (ages 7, 9, and 12) found this tour quite interesting.

There are very few historic houses tours that retain almost all of the original furniture. A real treat. Also the gift store is one of the best I've ever been in: almost all local art and books.
