Englewood Code Enforcement

I had a run in with CE today. I am not sure why the city is so focused on Jason Park off leash rules. Yes, my dog was off leash in the empty park at 3pm and I was in the wrong for that but it's not as big of an issue as the parking and littering all along Navajo. Everyday there are cars parked within driveways boundaries (I think the code states you can't park within 5') making it dangerous to pull out. Never once have I seen them enforce something that actually matters.

We call them the Paw Patrol. At Bates-Logan park their sole purpose is to harass dog owners. Like others have said, I’ve never seen them enforce anything that actually matters (I.E. littering).

For years I have attempted to get help regarding the insane amount of illegally parked cars on Broadway and Layton. It should be an easy fix as they all belong to the same used car lot and repair shop at said location. Countless calls and emails with maybe 2 responses total. Multiple businesses have closed as there is nowhere to park because of one selfish guy and a police department that refuses to do anything. It must be nice to get paid for doing nothing.

They really think they are cops, and the power goes straight to their head. All my experiences with them have been SO aggressive, rude, and directly threatening. They do not add anything to our community except annoyance.

Never answer calls, lack of empathy for animals stuck in neighbors garage full of debris, mold, no roof they allow it. Complaints from neighbors mold odor from border neighbor since 2014.... police aware code enforcement aware and they were cited as case closed.

Unresponsive, underfunded and do not communicate effectively. I put the blame on the City of Englewood elected officials and administrators. They're too busy chasing and appeasing large developers to care about the citizens. Unfortunately, I've seen this behavior repeatedly.

WORST DEPARTMENT IN ENGLEWOOD! I WANT A REFUND ON MY TAXES! ALL ENGLEWOOD OFFICIALS NEED TO GO! DEFUND ECE!

Very rude people. If that kind of professionalism was used in ANY other job it wouldnt be tolerated. Why is it ok for them I wonder?

Unprofessional, unresponsive, rude and disrespectful. City of Englewood council what are they doing with all the money with the taxes.
