I called around to a dozen places and nobody said they could replace my missing key for my old truck camper topper, except this place! Nice people and cute place with some old cool looking equipment. They had it done in 5 minutes for $15! (It didn't work at first because the lock is like 100 years old, but after some wrestling and a lot of liquid wrench I broke it free, which I'm only saying as a note to the lady at Bear Valley - it worked! Thank you!)

BOY WAS I WRONG.

Mike was on time, and he picked the lock on my 1966 Ford Pickup, pulled the lock cylinder, took it apart, cleaned it, made new keys for it and reinstalled it, all in less than an hour.

And for $131, no less.

Ordered 2 new keys for my car fotlr about $60 and had them cut here for around $5 or $6. Took about 5 minutes. Nice, quick service and friendly.

Great business. Took three weeks for a KIA dealer to make and program a chip key. When finally done I was told the sticky ness would fade. Before I returned to the dealership (couldn't hardly get the key out of the ignition) I stopped by Bear Valley. I had a garage that did not have a key for the t-lock. I initially called the garage door manufacturer/installer and was told that they would have to come out to replace it because the locks were all different. I wanted to use a local business and called Bear Valley Lock and Key and asked for a service call. I was asked if the lock had a number on it which it did. After I gave them the number I was told that they could cut the key and I could come and get it at the store for $15. This came a quite a surprise and possible only because they have a store. I also bought a mailbox lock because I did not have a key for that as well.

After picking up the key which worked perfectly, I was still unable to get in and needed a key for the vault release to disengage the electric opener. Called back and that was something that someone needed to come out for. I was given an estimate before I asked and we set up an appointment for the next day. Arriving on time, the lock was re-keyed and the door was opened. He also drilled out the lock on the mailbox and replaced it. The charge was exactly the estimate.

Lady working was friendly and polite. Wide selection of locks. However they so not program keys like someone else had written in reviews.

Awesome folks! I brought my 1988 Toyota pickup in without a key - they made a key from the key code in 10 minutes and had me on my way.
