I needed a new pair of shoes, as the ones I had were getting a little worn. I have been a fan of SAS shoes for years, but had been unable to find a store that sold them in the Metro area. I say this, because when I mentioned my shoe dilemma to my sister, she said why don't you just Google SAS shoe locations in Denver and see what comes up. I knew that, but I just wanted to see what kind of advise she would offer, and along with the look she gave me when I said that, makes me appreciate my family all the more🙄
However, I took her advise, and found the Location of the SAS shoe store in Arvada just off 52nd Ave. As I entered I was greeted by Barbara, one of the sales associates, and I explained my need for new footwear. She was very knowledgeable and directed me over the a selection of shoes, picked out a couple of styles she thought I might like, and then had me try them on to see how they fit. She also did something that I haven't had done in quite a while and that was that she took to time to measure my foot to get an accurate size. It's kinda like getting a haircut. The little things that harken back to a more traditional time when people stopped and took the time to add a personal touch to your shopping experience, which meant a lot and guaranteed that you would become a return customer.
Barbara was very courteous, knew the product line, and helped me pick out the shoes I needed that will present a professional look no matter if I'm wearing jeans or business attire. The price was reasonable, they are made in America, and as I mentioned before, I have been a fan of SAS shoes for decades, precisely because of the quality of their craftsmanship. And because of the courtesy and professional attitude Barbara displayed when helping me out, I can assure you that I will be a repeat customer.
So if you are looking for a quality pair of shoes, (men or women's) made in America, and like to deal with a professional sales staff, then SAS Shoes off 52nd Ave. In Arvada is one place I highly recommend.

Sas features well constructed shoes, which are very helpful for folks with foot problems. The shoes are expensive, but last for years. They also have some pretty new styles.

First, I am giving 2 stars because the shoes are great. I have problematic feet and so far these are what work best. If it weren't for the shoe's being great, it would be 1 star.

I've been here 3 times now. Every single time Paula has been very condescending, rude and impatient. Not only with myself but I hear how she has spoken to other customers as well. She complains she is the only person who works there and gets one and a half days off every single time I come in. She also complains about prior customers. She's very slow and won't allow anyone to find their own shoe's even if you spot the size you need. If I didn't need to try the shoes on, I would order online. I'm glad the store is there, but PLEASE hire someone else.

I have been to this store many times over the years and purchased great shoes that work for my feet. The main person in the store, probably the manager, was very condescending, rude and impatient, and not just to me, but customers she saw about to walk in the store. She won't allow anyone to find their own shoe's even if you spot the size you need or wear the shoes you are trying on around the store. If I didn't need to try the shoes on, I would order online. I almost just walked out, and that is saying something since I am patient and forgiving. I'm glad the store is there, but PLEASE PLEASE improve customer service.

New manager Paula was rude!!! Tried to exchange some unworn and defective shoes for a bigger size, my dad bought in a bundle a long time ago. Since we live almost 40 mins. away! She refused saying she needed to call her boss to exchange the shoes and started being rude. My dad has been a loyal customer for 15 years plus. We explained to her someone here told us we could exchange it and the previous manager Dave would do it. The New Manager Paula said Dave has been gone for a year now and she doesn’t care what he said. After this experience I will convince my dad to buy shoes elsewhere. I have a photo of the exchange/return policy stating after 30 days with no receipt or merchandise they will do exchanges. Manager said she won’t do it since it said 30 days, clearly she doesn’t know the policy it states after 30 days on the sign. Anyways, keep your new manager in check she doesn’t know what good customer service is.

Update: 5 mins later. The new manager went and removed the sign I took a picture of. Apparently she’s only been her for 6 months. No wonder she doesn’t know anything. Oh btw there was a receipt since they looked it up on the system.
