Historic Elitch Carousel Dome

Such a cool random spot to visit! It is located within a small park across from an apartment complex. It used to have a carousel which moved when the original park was relocated. I loved the maze in the middle of it, very cool addition!

Well, when I went there with my uncle, he told me alot of the history about the carousel and the theater which is not to far from it. I even got my phone out and played the organ version of the maple leaf rag and walked in circles to imitate how it was back then. Then we went past the new Elitch Gardens, And surprising enough the new carousel has alot of the same features as the old one, like a dome around the entire thing.

We grew up going to Elitch Gardens. We were so sad when it moved and they didn't move the log ride. We went to their current location on Saturday and decided to see if we could find any old buildings at the old location, we were very happy to see the carousel house and theatre! Seeing them brought back a lot of fond memories.

Great selection of trees and the service was great.

We went to the dome to walk the path inside. It's very interesting.
