Doug really did his due diligence to help me with my lemon of a car! The outcome was not what I had hoped but no fault of his. On the bright side I found a trustworthy mechanic out of my poor purchase. Doug and his team went out of their way to try and solve my issue with the least amount of cost and hastle. I will be forever grateful! I would recommend this automotive shop to anyone but especially If you don't know much about cars and need a trustworthy person not looking to take advantage of you!

Doug recommended against the repairs that another garage said our Toyota Camry needed. Wow, that never happens! And Fran went out of her way to meet our needs. We will definitely be back.

I’ve been taking my cars to Doug’s for about 10 years, and in that time I’ve never had a negative experience. Doug has repeatedly proven himself to be reliable, friendly, professional, responsive, and—perhaps most importantly—honest. Several years ago, during a routine oil change and inspection, Doug uncovered what he thought was an expensive electrical problem; he quoted me $1400 to fix it, and I gave him the go-ahead. He called me back an hour later to explain that one of his techs had made a mistake, and that in fact the problem was far smaller than he thought—it would be only about $100. A less scrupulous mechanic might not have said anything, and I would have happily (and unwittingly) forked over the money. But not Doug. He’s far more interested in keeping me as a customer than he is about making a quick buck.

On other occasions Doug has gone out of his way to accommodate my schedule, waiting around for me after business hours or arranging an early-morning pickup. He’s given me rides home and picked me up after work was complete. He’s always been communicative, never hesitating to spend time explaining things to me when I need my hand held.

Over the years I’ve worked with a variety of mechanics, and in my experience the truly good ones are few and far between. Doug is one of them. He’s a car guy through and through, but he clearly also values his customers. He’s the best at what he does. I couldn’t recommend him more.

After trying several other places, I was so happy to find Doug's Automotive. I have taken 4-5 different vehicles to them over 12+ years. I find them honest, dependable and kind. They take extra care of "old lady" customers, like me. Doug can explain things to me and draws pictures so I understand.

He got it done in a timely manner, showed me exactly what he did and it ended up costing about 1/4 of what another shop had quoted me. I will be a customer for life!

I had a fantastic experience with Doug's Automotive this past week. I have been going to another location in the area for multiple years but couldn't get an answer for a rattling sound and started to not feel comfortable with their suggestions for repairs as I know my jeep needed work, but their list seemed extensive. I found Doug through Nextdoor and the entire experience was nothing but a pleasure. We dropped my car off, had the air conditioning checked which hasn't been working and he knew exactly what the rattling noise was (a broken heat shield) and he fixed it with just a hose clamp. He also did an entire check on my vehicle and noted a handful of stuff that needed to get done. We took it back that next week and all the work was completed in a day at a very fair price, could not be happier with my visit!! Doug will be my new go to for any car maintenance or repairs and there is no wonder why he has been in business for over 30 years.

Doug and Fran always take the time to explain what they found and what the options are - including what's needed now and what's optional. The cost has always been very fair and usually less than what we guessed it might have been. The work is always done right the first time - we've never had to have a "re-do".
