Retro Ridge Barbers

My young men were apprehensive about trying a barbershop for the first time as opposed to a franchise haircut place, but I told them there's a difference for the cuts they get. They're sold now! Really cool atmosphere, very clean cuts that the boys were impressed with and can't beat the price! We will definitely be back again!

Took me 1.5 years to find a good barber in Denver and I finally found em. John hooked me up on very minimal instruction. Guy knows what he’s doing. 10/10 would recommend.

Stopped in for the first time today about a half hour before closing time with a pretty rough looking head and face of hair. After John finished up with the customer he was helping, he welcomed me and we chatted as he got to work. The cut looked fantastic and the magic he worked on my beard made had me feeling like a new man. I will definitely be back (my hair grows slowly though so it'll be a while)!

Never usually write reviews, but this place definitely deserves it. Went in has a very cool feeling to the place very retro and sports related which is all I’d look for in a barber. On top of that I had a great cut (don’t remember his name) was very satisfied, and will be coming back. Loved the service, had great conversation and loved the little shop dog that’s there. Great business. Oh and on top of all that there’s no problem with not wearing a mask because that’s kinda stupid anyway considering your getting a haircut and masks cover behind your ears. thanks again!

I walked in and waited 15-20 minutes and got my cut done fast and precise! The gentleman that cut my hair was very knowledgeable and friendly! I would definitely recommend this place. And they are very fair with prices. Only side note is CASH ONLY but that didn’t stop me. You won’t regret stopping in 😀

Jon is the man! He always takes care of me with a clean razor fade. Great shop and easily the cheapest razor fade in Denver.

John always give me a great cut! Been going here for over 2 years now, and have never had a bad experience. There's only two barbers, and I've seen people complain about the hours or availability for a cut, so if they're not there once in a blue moon, come back a different day, its hair! You can't beat the price for quality of service you receive.

Top shop to get your hair chopped! John gave me the best haircut I've had in a very long time. Old school barber shop, every single customer besides myself knew the owner. Happy to give these guys my business will definitely be back and would absolutely recommend.

I was a bit hesitant because it’s hard finding someone you can trust with a beard for a reasonable price. Although my Haircut was a tad shorter than I wanted but still looked good. John was excellent the best barber I have had in a long time especially for a hairy guy he took care of me definitely will be going there 2-3 times a month for a trim.

Took my 3 year old son today for a much needed haircut. The gentleman was very kind and gentle with my son and knew exactly what I was looking for in a cut. I will definitely be coming back . The atmosphere was very great and comfortable. As for his actual haircut it came out amazing. I've gone to a few other places and it was always rushed or was told because my son moved . But that was not the case here. I am very pleased . Thank you! You have gained another client.

This is by far the best barbershop I have ever been to. John remembers what I want everytime I'm there. He gives quality haircuts consistently, and his prices are the same, if not better, than all the big chain haircut places. I can't recommend Retro Barbers enough! I will not go anywhere else!

Piper and Clayton did an excellent job teamworking my hair and straight razor shave! Very relaxing, "old school" cut. I'd say they pulled out all the stops. Definitely some talent in this shop!

Greatest barbershop around tiown man. Great decor. Ideal for men with facial hair as they offer a straight razor shave. Due note, does not accept card payments, cash only. A traditional "of the top" with a straight razor box off the edges ran me $15. Not a bad value at all. And looked great. Will return regularly.

A truly great experience.

Walking into this shop was like stepping back into my childhood in the early 60s. It looked and smelled exactly the same. A row of real barber chairs, Ron and Phil each with a customer, some magazines and a few comfortable chairs against the wall just as I remembered. No hipsters, no loud music, no fake antiques. Even though I'm a member of AARP I was definitely the youngster in the place today. This is a MAN'S barbershop.

I got a friendly nod and hello from everyone including another customer. Phil finished with his customer, had a short chat with him at the register, and told me it looked like I was next.

Instead of trying to describe what I wanted, I took a chance and said "side part, longer on top and short sides and back". Phil confirmed I wanted a standard taper, and after about 10 minutes of friendly conversation he had worked his magic on my short salt-and-pepper hair.

I've never,ever been so happy with a haircut. Judging by the number of truly awkward cuts I've had from mid-priced chains and expensive places, no one seems to understand a taper cut on my kinda egg shaped head. Phil did it with the apparent effortlessness of the master barber he is.

And by the way, all this for only $14!

I'll be back. I'll tell every man I know about Retro Barbers.

No techno music. No angry emo stylists. No pressure to buy a car payment's worth of tiny hair product bottles. Comforting atmosphere, real conversation and great prices. Took my teenage son here. We loved it.

Austin barber shop if you're not looking for the chain type. (Floyd's). Quick and very detailed haircuts, shaves and conversation. Every 3 to 4 weeks I look forward to my experience there.
