El Tapatio Mexican Restaurant

I stopped here for dinner after I was done working for the day. The place was pretty empty when I first walked in and the hostess was friendly. I ordered the special that they had on their chalkboard and it was fantastic! It had pan seared trout and shrimp with a brown butter and garlic dipping sauce, it also had beans and rice with it. The salmon was cooked very well and so were the shrimp, they had a delicate flavor to them that was complimented by the butter sauce served on the side. If I was in the area again I'd definitely come here again!

Excellent food. This place deserves more than the 3.9 stars it currently has. I'm a picky person, and I'm giving them 5 stars. Here is my fajita buritto!! 😀

Amazing service. Someone in the kitchen knows what they are doing. Really good food. Tasted like a lot was made from scratch. At first glance you think it is going to be the same as all the other restaurants but the food is noticeably better. Just traveling through but I saved it on my places to stop again. Good, reliable food with lots of options. The service is always fast and on point! There are a ton of similar options within a mile or two, but El Tapatio stands out with its consistency and the classy decor and atmosphere!

Amazing place. Very fresh authentic food; and you can tell its made with love. The top shelf marg was perfection. Vibe was on point. Salsa was mild with the right amount of cilantro. Definitely recommend this spot & I will be back!

Dropped in to try it after hearing someone talk about it. I jumped on the molcajete dish. The food was great as well as the presentation. It was slower inside than I would have expected. I will definitely go back.

Never really think much of Denver Mexican food. However, went here and got a massive $14 margarita (well worth the price, like 3 margs at another place), got Cameron’s a la Diablo, one of the few places in Colorado that makes it right AND spicy. Salsa was great. Servers were great. Highly recommend

We had a group of seven ladies for lunch. They set up our table quickly. All seven said their lunches were delicious. One mix up with the Taco salads, but easily corrected. Also we didn't know that rather than receiving our checks at the table, we needed to go to the cashier to pick up our check and pay. We sat at the table for quite some time waiting for our checks. Just need to let us know what we needed to do. All in all, a good group lunch.

Some of the best Michellada's in town and their food is good too! Wait staff is always tentative and friendly. One of our go to spots for good Mexican food.

We ordered the Combo fajitas for two. The flavor of this meal was outstanding! The salsa foe the chips could use a reboot. The portion was large, and the meat quantity was huge. There should have been double the amount of tortillas, but we managed.

The service was average. Drink refills & plate removal, nothing fancy. The look of the place was good & clean. The restroom could have done with a little sprucing up.

I've eaten here several times. The foods and services were always top-notch!! I enjoyed the Huevos Rancheros with a cucumber/jalapeño margarita. Do yourself a favor and give this place a try.

What a pleasant surprise this joint was! I came in to kill some time and now I gotta spread the word.

Love that the restaurant itself is spacious and covid safe - meaning I was far from any other patron and hand sanitizer was readily available up front.

I did feel like I walked into an old joint in Mexico - music traditional and the decor fit it perfectly. Can’t travel these days so a restaurant that goes all in to honoring authenticity is a treat!

Service was top notch and the staff super friendly!

I had the street tacos and tostada de a camarones y pulpo, washed down with a house marg. Very good, super flavorful. I will definitely be back for those tripe tacos! Love the fact that chips and salsa are on the house as well.

Attentive and friendly staff check in often. The food was great. I would suggest the Tapatio Special for 13$
