Vallecito Marina & Yacht Club

Beautiful lake primarily used for boating and finding. Can rent various kinds of boats, from kayaks to paddle boats to fishing boats and pontoons, from the marina (if you want to rent a boat with a motor, reserve in advance). Came on a Sunday and rented a 70hp pontoon. The boat was great and enjoyed cruising around.

The lake is full. we rented a four person pontoon boat for me, my husband and our Chocolate Lab. The Marina and the personnel were wonderful, helpful and even gave our dog treats. Contact them and rent a boat today, you will not regret it!!!!!!!

The 2 ladies were so helpful So great to be able to reserve on line. The kayak we rented was perfect: stable and nice paddles. Great price point too. This experience really added depth to my Durango experience and recommend it to anyone looking for an alpine lake adventure!. We had a wonderful time on Lake Vallecito with the help of the Vallecito Marina and their pontoon boat. The lady that helped us get on the water was wonderful. After small talk we realized that we grew up in Texas only about 25 miles from each other. What a coincidence. The boat puttered around the lake and we got to do some fishing and swimming. My family hopes to go back soon. It was a blast. Next time, we are going to rent a sailboat also and learn how to sail. It's the perfect lake. Not too big but enough room to zip around.

My family booked a pontoon boat for an 8 hour rental. All around, we had a fantastic experience. I had read other reviews and was prepared for a questionable experience, but i didnt have any problems at all. The boat was a newer model Bentley ( red), very well taken cared for. Of all the rentals we have used over the years, this had to be the newest and nicest. We showed up about 5 minutes late and we were helped to our boat right away. It had a full tank of gas and ready to roll. We spent a full day on the water and enjoyed the gorgeous views. We pulled in about 10 minutes prior to the end of our time, and were greeted by friendly faces. Of course, we caught no fish - wrong time of year.

I was so impressed with the on-site attendant. He was so helpful and friendly every time we were there. It's such a beautiful lake. Even more so now that the water level is higher.

This place was awesome. We rented a boat and explored the Reservoir. The staff was friendly and helpful. They also rent kayaks, fishing poles, paddle boats and other aquatic accessories at a great rate.

They were very professional and had the pontoon boat ready for us when we arrived. Boat was in good condition and we had a great time on the lake for 2 hours. Check-in and check-out was very quick and easy by doing the paperwork online before we arrived.

The staff was amazing and helpful. The boats have everything you need and are well taken care of. So much fun and a beautiful lake.

We had an amazing day on Vallecito Lake. The marina is well run, friendly & efficient staff helped us with any questions we had before taking off on our own. We rented a pontoon boat, & it was spotless. We can't wait to do it again. Making memories the old fashion way...

We had reservations for one of the days but the water was to choppy for us to use the paddle boards, and the marina suggested that we can switch days and that was perfect for our schedule. They are truly amazing and we all had a wonderful time.

After reading some of these reviews, I was hesitant to rent here. I decided to go ahead and rent a pontoon boat as my family and I were renting a cabin just a couple miles away from the marina in Vallecito. I’m so glad we decided to do so!

While booking our reservation, I made a mistake and booked our rental for the wrong Sunday! Betty was so accommodating and helpful in changing it for the correct date and even was able to keep our same rental time. When I was totally flustered - she was completely understanding. The check in process was smooth even thought Betty was busy (make sure you have your fishing licenses ahead of time if you’re fishing!). There were no crazy rules - just common sense boating.

My husband and our two kids had a wonderful day on a beautiful lake uncrowded lake. We swam, fished, cruised around and it was so relaxing. My son even caught a trout which made his day! I highly recommend renting here. They’re friendly, accommodating and helpful and we’ll definitely be back! All of Vallecito - the town and the reservoir is truly a little hidden gem. We can’t wait to visit again!

We had a wonderful day renting a pontoon boat from Vallecito Marina & Yacht Club! The boat was perfect, very clean and well maintained. The lake is absolutely gorgeous! We will definitely be back to rent other boats and kayaks from the Vallecito Marina the next time we are in Durango.

We love this marina! We camp here every year for 2 weeks and always rent a pontoon boat and other water craft for fishing and kayaking. Everyone is nice and fun! Plus it’s a beautiful lake.

We walked right up and was able to reserve a fishing boat. The two ladies running the marina were very kind and helpful, we were out on the water in less than 20 minutes! The boat was exactly what we wanted and we were able to catch two HUGE fish, they ended taking a picture for their wall. The price was right for what we rented, will be returning again!

We had the best time on Vallecito Reservoir. We rented a small fishing skiff from the marina. They were so accommodating and helpful. The staff loaded our gear and helped us into the boat. The manager at the marina gave us excellent suggestions for bait and fishing location. We caught dinner! It was a perfect day. We thought everyone there was knowledgeable and helpful and pleasant. They even let us buy our parking pass at the marina. Can't wait for our next trip up. If you're coming up on the weekends we would recommend reserving your watercraft in advance.

Open parking and clean site. The staff was helpful and very thorough when explaining the safety protocol for our boat rental. The equipment was well cared for.
