Great quality coffee with lots of options, and Wednesday Donut day I'd highly recommend! Some of the best donuts I've ever had! Good spot to work remotely from with very stable internet and charging spots.

Really liked the place - the coffee quality is so good for the price. The decor is rustic and pretty cool. Do try out their Cortado.

Great coffee and very reasonably priced! Perfect stop during a long bike ride on a weekend or a great way to hunker down and catch up on work during the midweek. Staff is absolutely phenomenal. The ambience is remarkable. The owners renovated an old, historic brick storefront that speaks turn-of-the-century Victorian-era Vermont but with an urban, modern chic vibe. Almost an industrial feel with very high ceiling, exposed utilities centered around an active copper coffee roaster.

We stopped at this coffee shop on our way back from a snowboarding trip in Vermont. My husband got an espresso and I got a vanilla latte. We were both pleasantly surprised by how good their coffee was! Usually when I get a latte I find it to be too milky with not enough coffee taste, this place had the perfect balance! The espresso was dark and strong. I also got the pistachio cake which I would get again a thousand times. Honestly I wish I had a place this good closer to our home in Jersey! Highly recommend.

The best coffee I have ever had. Friendly staff. Delicious baked goods- especially the almond croissants! This is a special spot that not only provides delicious drinks and food, but is a vital community gathering space for both law school students and locals alike. I always run into a friend, or meet someone new when I come into First Branch!

I was lucky enough to touch down here on opening day and the sun was shining on us all as I sipped my cup of joe while looking onto the town square. Great location, fast, friendly staff and the coffee will have me coming back.

Fantastic roaster, carefully sourced beans, amazing flavor. I can’t wait to go back when we can sit inside again!

There was only a single barista working the small coffee counter, but she kept the line moving and was working hard. Friendly too. The coffee was very good, though I preferred Carrier in Burlington. I'll definitely visit again when I need a coffee and I'm in the area.

First things first: the coffee here is excellent and fairly priced, as good coffee goes. I had a maple latte that was so delicious. First branch also has some light pastries like croissants, as well as locally made chocolate bars. The atmosphere is quiet and comfortable, a good place to get some studying accomplished. There is also a section in the back that sells beer. Will definitely be coming back!

First Branch Coffee is one of the best places in the area to get a warm yummy drink. The space is funky and comfortable and is located right downtown in the heart of South Royalton. I highly recommend!

I'm no expert at espresso tasting but I do really love a good latte and there's something really special going on with the espresso at this place. I heard this was the "best espresso in the upper valley". I was skeptical but it really is. Plus home of upper pass beer. Really special place. Market next door worth a trip also.

This place has great coffee and even better baked goods. We asked, and the pastries are made by a local baking ingenue, and they roast their own coffee on site (which we got to watch). The staff was super friendly, too. Cool space.

love first branch coffee, everybody is always so friendly and happy to help. Perfect stop on the way to work/class or swing by for a mid-morning treat on the weekend. We are subscribers to the monthly coffee club, SO convenient and great coffee!

This was one of the best coffees I had in Vermont. The staff was very friendly. They know coffee. The baked goods offered were delicious! I will probably order beans online to be shipped to me.

Coffee was great, ordered, via the app for pickup, the Maple and aged maple. Both coffees had a strong maple flavor but didn't overpower the coffee itself. The aged maple is more subtle while the maple is a bit sweeter. If time permits, I will definitely go back.

Excellent coffee, best we had during our stay in the U. S.! They serve the espresso in small typical Italian porcelain cups (thanks a lot!), as we are used to it in Europe. We were delighted and really appreciated this service! We also recommend the offered local (Tunbridge) brewed beer.

This is the most unique coffee shop I've ever seen. The serve coffee, of course, but also beer, that they brew, and they serve sandwiches/salads for lunch and have Taco Tuesday's (best tacos in VT) and Flatbread Friday's (haven't tried that yet). Great atmosphere, hip crowd, mix of locals and law students from VT Law School two blocks away.

My boyfriend and I stopped here on our way back to CT from Burlington, VT. It’s been two weeks and we still can’t get over how good our cappuccino and iced chai latte was. Perhaps the best we’ve E V E R had. There’s not too much going on in this quaint little town but you can bet your bottom dollar we’d return for the coffee alone.

Fresh roasted coffee 😻The best lattes and cold brew around. Pick up a bag of their Librewation beans for some chocolatey delicious espresso at home. You will not be disappointed!!
