Dutterer's Family Restaurant

This is yet another small, family-run Diner. These are the type that I love the best. We were seated quickly, made to feel very welcome, and before we knew it our delightful breakfast had arrived. It was just awesome. We both got the two egg breakfast which came with hash browns a huge serving of breakfast meat and Well Done toast. Again - it was delightful. Even the coffee was excellent and you don't get to say that very often. Our waitress was very pleasant and checked on her several times to make sure everything was fine. If I hadn't been in a hurry, I probably would have bought the shirt. We liked it so much. If we're ever in this area we will come back again, you can count on that. I hope places like this stay in business for another 20 years, because if they do I will keep coming back.

This is a classic family-run Diner, the kind that I always grew up loving. I don't come to this area often, but I'll tell you that when I do I will surely look this place up. Service was good, prices were low , and the amount of food was large. Well-prepared, served quickly- everything I could ask for in a breakfast. There were plenty of locals there, so that's always a good sign. Plenty of parking both beside and behind the restaurant, another good sign. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our breakfast so it gets two thumbs up and was definitely worth the trip.

Great broasted chicken dinner! Great sweet potato fries. Fast, friendly, attentive service. Inexpensive (<$25 for two, tip not included). We regret we didn't have room for dessert. Will definitely visit again.

Everyone is very nice! Always feel comfortable. We have only been a couple times and the waitress remembers what my husband gets with his French toast which is always cool. Good is delicious

Stopped in here while traveling from a Gettysburg visit back to the DC area and were glad we stumbled upon this little gem. The service was excellent from the greeting when we walked in, to the server's big smile, and the owner stopping by towards the end of the meal to see how everything had been.

The restaurant was full of locals. When talking to the owner, she mentioned some people come in twice a day! The menu is full of home-cooked food and it was very good at EXCELLENT prices.

Table was clean, food was really good. The food took a little longer than I expected, but was definitely worth it. We had the fried chicken , it Tasted homemade, not like a cafeteria.what I appreciatd was the iced tea.it was homemade and had a real lemon slice, not a slim & dried out sliver. Waitress was on the spot but not underfoot, very friendly and courteous. Will come again.

This is one of the best diners in the Littlestown/Hanover area! The fried chicken is absolutely delicious, as well as all of the side dish options. A very casual, family friendly atmosphere with great food and equally at great prices! If you're looking for a place to have a home cooked meal, this is the spot for you :)

My wife and I have eaten at this restaurant in all of it's incarnations; Dutterer's being the latest. The people here are great and a lot of the staff are still the same as when we first started going there. The food is good; a lot of homestyle classics. They have daily specials, but the broasted chicken is what they are known for. All food is always served at the correct temp and servings are plentiful. The prices have increased, but where haven't they and I still feel that it is a good value.

This is the best place I have ever eaten!!! The staff were so polite and speedy with the service. The food was all fresh and the sweet tea was to die for. I would come here for every meal everyday

Great food friendly people. We drive all the way from east berlin pa to enjoy such wonderful food. Services was fast. They even have a cute little dish that was a dinosaur for the kids mac n cheese

Nice atmosphere, prices were reasonable, beverage was expensive, but their french fries were horrible "overcooked", basically no one at our table of 10 were able to finish their fries.... our waitress Jennifer did a fantastic job...

This was my first time here and I was so impressed .A family type place with comfort food. They have the best turkey and gravy with homemade sauerkraut and homemade deserts .The cakes and pies looked so good but we were full..The mashed potatoes were home made and we found this place by accident going toward Gettysburg in Littlestown PA. I am guessing about twenty minutes from Gettysburg hospital.or battlefield.

Had a pleasant evening at Dutterer's Restaurant. Our waitress was out going and constantly checking on our group to see if we wanted anything else. The food was delicious.

The absolute best broasted chicken I've ever had. Stewed tomatoes were way too sweet but still good. Nice family restaurant.

Food was home cooked just as they claim. French onion soup was delicious and broiled haddock was yummy. Looking for home cooked meal this is the place.

I travel for work constantly. Been to 12 countries and 45 states. And Im not usually the biggest fan of fried chicken. I like it but don't seek it out. I happened to stop by here while in the area. Oh man, I ordered the “broasted chicken”. Worst mistake of my life. Now its like the Sinead o connor song nothing compares to you playing in my head for eternity. No other chicken can fill this gap. Dutterers has the best. No matter where I am in the world no chicken is as good. When I'm rich Im sending fighter jets weekly to pick me up some of that broasted goodness. Thank you for your culinary prowess Dutterer’s. I love you.

Delicious!! like I've heard for years and I finally got to eat there.. apparently their hours are a little thin but they were open today :-)

I love this place. Use to come here all the time with my grandparents Ed and Chucki. Practically family here. Staff is so kind. Food is SO GOOD.
