Very nice, clean and the hosts very friendly. Spacious sites with some electric and water available nearby. Quiet with no internet access but able to make calls. Not all sites allow dogs so double check.

Beautiful wooded sites that are spaced apart. Great trail right next to campsites. Only had electric hookups, but could fill water tank & use their dump station at end of visit...no big deal. Very relaxing!

We had a great time camping here May 30th to June 1st. Since we arrived on Thursday there were very few people there, we had the whole end of our Loop to ourselves. Totally private , peaceful , and dark at night . It did fill up on Friday . We were in site 19, which was a great site for a tent. Lots of room, and for me the greatest part was the tent pad since I have never had a tent pad before, it was great to have a flat level surface for the tent! If you have a reservation you don't need to check in anywhere before setting up, the camp host Joyce came around to meet us and she was very friendly. Three people right off the bat told us that there had been a bear in our campsite and at the playground earlier that day, and he had been going through the trash dumpsters while we were there. He or she also and torn apart somebody's campsite because they left food out, so we were extremely careful about never leaving food items out in the open when we left the campsite, everything got locked in the car. We never saw a bear. We did see the park rangers drive-thru pretty often . The bathrooms are the nicest that we've seen in state parks so far, very clean, the only problem I would say is that the shower water had to be pushed on in the women's room about every six seconds, but I heard in the men's room it stayed on for about 30 seconds. I could live with that while we were there. The closest bathroom to us was only a restroom, then there was more of a walk to get to the shower area . There's a really nice rail trail which we biked, then hiked up to awesome views. There is nice easy hiking trails, and some really difficult Rocky uphill trails . And over the two days we put 12 miles on our bikes . We also did some hiking on the Appalachian Trail. There's a small area with Beach like swimming, not right in the campground, and a little further up the road is the area where you can rent Kayaks or canoes. No complaints at all, this is a very nice Campground, very well worth the 1 hour 45 minute drive for us, and I'm sure we'll be back.

Narrow roads in and out of the campground. The sites are gravel, reasonably level, and private. I had virtually no Verizon cell service. Nonetheless, I think it's a terrific campground. It's about 35 minutes from Gettysburg, and that made it worth the trip alone. The general store has GREAT burgers and it's fun to see the AT hikers on their way through. I ate a gallon of ice cream in their honor, albeit over a five day period and not in one sitting. I never visited the two lakes, but my neighbors raved about both. The campground host is very nice and very helpful. Firewood is $5.

One last note: The Thirsty Farmer Brew Works is worth the 25 minute drive from the campground (if you are a beer nerd).

Me and my family stayed here for a 3 day weekend, and let me tell you something. This campground was amazing!! It was so cozy even with light rain and all of the camping spots were clean and well taken care of! We brought our camper and I definitely would come back again! Everyone there was friendly and listens, the bathrooms were clean, the women’s restroom was pretty dark because most of the lights weren’t on but it didn’t bother me that much. Also there were 2 dead pine trees on our spot but nothing too bad. The camp store was nice and had good WiFi, I also enjoyed the Appalachian trail museum! I can’t wait to come back and hopefully stay a little longer. :)

We really like this place. We drag a 36ft travel trailer and find the roads a bit narrow, but very do-able. Electric only but water spigot are spread around. Not all sites allow pets.

This is one of the most scenic campgrounds in Pennsylvania. Most sites have a nice wooded space between them and the restrooms were new, modern, and relatively clean.

Wonderful park to stay! Very peaceful and pleasant just to sit around and listen to the birds and every now and then, kids playing and having fun! Or you can hike many of the trails that are there, as it is in the middle of the Appalachian Trail with several options to take. Or you can swim, fish or play in the two lakes and stream that runs through there as well! Either way, just go and enjoy the wonders of nature!
FYI... people with large RV's need to read all the info about the place (RVLife Campground Reviews app/website) as there are very few spots to park, especially a 41' rig like ours. We did manage but the roads were narrow and tight which can create some issues backing in. There a couple of pull thrus but get them early! It's primarily a small rig, pop-up or tent campground, JMO!
Have a great time. We did!

Camp ground is clean and well maintained. Perfect get away from the world. No Wi-fi, no phone service. Very reasonably priced.

Site 74 or in the teens if you are tent camping and want to be a little ways away from people.

Nice campgroup. Dog friendly. We went first week of April. It was 80% full. Mostly RVs. Everyone we had contact with was friendly.

Bathrooms always open and well maintained.

This is a beautiful wooded campground with clean, modern restrooms and bath house. It's a lovely place to pitch a tent, and is in easy walking distance to the camper's general store, the Appalachian Trail Museum, the Michaux Forest rangers' station, and Fuller Lake and its amenities.

Peaceful and quiet, enjoyable and relaxing with friends. Love camping and cooking over a open fire 🔥. The food is always better when done over the open fire. Long walks, hiking, biking come out and give it a try. Hope to see you there.

We camp here alot. Flush toilets, hot showers. Pine Grove Furnace is the halfway point on the Appalachian Trail. There is a museum, the furnace stack still stands, fishing in two lakes. Picnicking, trails to hike, the campground has electric sites and tent sites. There are also group camping sites, reserve early it can fill up.

Campsites are large and maintained well. Hiking trails are available around campground along with an amphitheater. Extra parking is available. The camp sites can fit a truck with a trailer or large rv.

Good campground. Spaced out and each spot separated by trees. They will ticket you if you park in the wrong areas.

Great campground. Be careful with the sites next to the road. They are very close to the street and the cars FLY by!
