I went to Copper and Sage for dinner with a friend. We were early, so the hostess showed us to their bar next door so that we could have a drink while we waited. The bar is really nice, good ambiance, comfortable chairs and nice bartenders. The drinks were tasty alcoholic and non-alcoholic. We we had a nice table in the restaurant a little cozy but comfortable. We ordered the fried green tomatoes and deviled eggs to start, then the duck and the mussels for dinner. Everything was fantastic. Our server was attentive and helpful when picking a wine. I will definitely try this place again

Everything was great from start to finish! We were running late to our reservation, greeter at the front was the sweetest & so accommodating, offering us outdoor seating with weather being so nice out. Food & drink were delicious. We ordered HH mai tai and collins, pickles/pimento, pork belly tacos & wings, . Restaurant was beautiful & staff greeted us goodbye on the way out! Definitely a warm, welcoming 10/10 experience (:

Very nice restaurant and bar.

We had the bacon wrapped dates and bourbon deviled eggs as appetizers. Excellent! Several others looked awesome and we're looking forward to trying later.

My scallop dish was amazing and well put together. Wife had the pasta which I tasted as leftovers. It was excellent as well. There wasn't a single thing under the "Main" category that I didn't want to try.

Cute little patio and nice bar area. Very comfortable environment.

We'll certainly go back.

When I walked in, it was absolutely beautiful. it felt super fancy and cozy to in. I went with my boyfriend for our anniversary and we couldn't have had a better time. The service was incredible, everything was presented beautifully us, the whole place felt for warm and welcoming. The food was to die for, I had the Tagliaelle while my boyfriend had the Pork Osso Buco. I did try his as well and both plates were so flavorful and delicious. They also have a fantastic option of Gluten Free items which I was very impressed by. I find myself wanting to come back over and over again. A friend also told me about their Monte Cristo which she said was absolutely amazing. For dessert we had the butterscotch torte, and french beignets which was so rich and delicious. I see myself coming back time and time again. I can’t stress how fantastic the whole experience was since we walked in the door. 100/10 will definitely be back

Everything was wonderful! I dropped the stars for food due to my scallops being a little overcooked (but not rubbery) and my partner's dish being mildly overseasoned. Otherwise, everything was delicious, especially the appetizers and cocktails. The service was excellent and the atmosphere is appealing. I love the parking; not a huge lot, but it's not a huge restaurant, so it probably accommodates the typical number of patrons. We will definitely return.

I decided to take my friend out for dinner for his birthday, and I wanted to try Copper and Sage. It is probably the best decision I have made in a long time. We started off with the fried green tomatoes and eggs and for dinner my friend had the steak and I had the duck. The food was exemplary. The steak cooked to perfection, and the duck was so tender and delicious. Sam was our Server and she was phenomenal. She was very attentive and knowledgeable. Thank you everyone for a wonderful wonderful evening.
Truly, Eddie

My husband and I had the pleasure of taking dear friends here for brunch last Saturday. It was the first visit for all four of us and we are ready to go back and do it again. The atmosphere is great. The architecture of the building along with the decor is bright and open and really well done. The food was also amazing. The best fried green tomatoes any of us have ever tried. The hummus also top notch. The blue cheese cheeseburger was a hit as well as the fish tacos. The hot chicken sandwich was crispy and juicy and packed a nice punch of heat while maintaining great flavor. The mac-n-cheese was fantastic. The waffle fries were waffle fires, no complaints. Cocktails were great too. Looking forward to our next visit!

Nothing like ending the week on a Friday night with a great meal and friends. We were deciding on three different restaurants and chose C&S based solely on the pics and it did not disappoint. RARELY do pics do the actual meal justice, as they are usually modeled like a Sports Illustrated swimsuit cover, this restaurant is the exception!

Located in a small blink and you’ll miss it brick building in old downtown Phoenix, the ambiance felt like a hidden speak easy when you opened the door. We got there around 5:15 and glad we did, since the dining area would be easy to fill with minimal seating and parking. One perk to a smaller space is the attention you get from your waiter. In this case it was Mike and he was very helpful at translating the menu into imagery since the descriptions were clear but difficult to choose from.

The menu is simple and one sided, with a New Orleans flavor as the theme. Being a big New Orleans foodie I had my doubts but it was a well deserved comparison. The four of us all ordered something different and each dish was plated beautifully but not pretentious. We started with the black bean hummus which was a nice starter but would probably choose something different on our next visit.

When the main dishes were served we had a NY Strip with waffle fries, blackened fish tacos, pork shanks, and shrimp and grits (mine). We all looked at each other’s plates and were desperate to hear how each person enjoyed their first bite based on how delicious each plate looked. We sat in silence making satisfied noises and trying to convince each other who made the best choice. My shrimp and grits were generous, and tasted outstanding! No notes on my meal at all!

Against our better judgment, we got the beignets which came in 3 doughy squares with powdered sugar and a pecan bourbon jam that was a perfect complement to the desert.

At the end of the day (and week) you can go to a tired restaurant chain or you can stretch your taste pallet (and wallet all meals were over $17) and have a meal you will talk about and remember. The only challenging part to C&S is the size of the building but when you and your food are this good, that’s your patrons problem. Yea, it’s worth it!

Only open for a few months, I found out about Copper & Sage through a birthday mailer. I went with my partner on a mid-week date night and was glad we made reservations. The ambience was dark and cozy and the wait staff was warm and friendly.

We ate Oso Buco and wings which were both delightful. Delicious and good size portions, but not over the top.

It was a bit noisy, where we were sitting, as the restaurant is cozy and noise echos. While the atmosphere would definitely be considered romantic, intimate conversations might be difficult due to the noise and close tables.

They had a well-stocked bar and as an added touch, a lounge and bar were adjacent that deserve a review of its own.

I've dined in twice for dinner, the food is amazing, the drinks are amazing and the service is awesome! I'm so happy they are in the neighborhood. We also visited the lounge next door Blue Stave. Juan is such a sweetheart and definitely knows his way around a cocktail!! 💓💓

My wife and I had brunch at this beautiful decorated and arranged restaurant. After agonizing over all the amazing choices on the menu I settled on the smash burger which was incredible. The grind itself had so much flavor, but the house made pickles really made it pop. My wife had the Monte Cristo and the bite she allowed me to steal from her was delicious. Balanced and not too heavy, it was the perfect balance of sweet and savory. We also split a side of Mac and cheese which was a bowl of heaven on its own.

The pricing was perfect for the quality of the menu and ingredients. Portions were neither stingy or excessive. We both had a little extra to take home and left more than satisfied. The environment was hip but relaxed. We’re so over all the brunch spots blasting music so loud you can’t talk to your group. It’s nice to have a great meal in a cool spot that doesn’t feel and sound like a night club.

We sat at the bar and were served by Dim. He was friendly and engaging and had great knowledge of the menu and flavors. Also, the house made Bloody Mary mix he put together for us was spicy and perfect. We can’t wait to get back and try more of the menu. This is exactly the restaurant that the area needed!

Excellent new restaurant!! We ordered a bunch of appetizers and all them were incredible but definitely get the deviled eggs! We all loved our entrees but the hot chicken and beignets were just the right spicy and sweet.
Desserts were meh and could be skipped.
Fantastic service in a really cute setting. Lots of attention to detail.

5 stars straight across the board! I hate to reveal this place because once others start to discover it the days of being able to just walk in without reservations will be gone! Copper and Sage is fantastic and they've done an amazing job creating an atmosphere in the same space that Los Sombrero's and Sun Up Brewery before that, which exceeds expectations. It's a great vibe, warm and inviting just like good old Southern hospitality should be. The menu offers something for every palate. We ordered the smash burger (single) and the blackened fish tacos. Both were amazing! And for starters the bacon wrapped dates were outstanding. Oh and the duck fat fries are not to be missed!! The best kept secret of this place is the cocktail lounge straight across the courtyard. A very impressive selection of whisky and bourbon and an expansive cocktail menu. The lounge is such a cool space and the bar seating is perfect to relax and chat with the mixologist who BTW was very knowledgeable about every liquor he poured. And when you go in be sure to ask to see the hidden private room...very cool! The word is out now but I'm ok with that b/c I really want to see this restaurant do well. Well done Copper and Sage!

For the longest time, I was unable to find a restaurant that succeeded in every category. I do admit, I may have high expectations, but far too often is the amazing food tainted by subpar service or vice versa. I yearned to be entirely satisfied by a dining experience, yet each time I dined out, I questioned whether it was me who had unrealistic exceptions. That was until I happened onto Copper and Sage.

Simply put, this establishment exceeds in all aspects. From the ambiance to the decor, Copper and Sage screams approachable luxury. The service was spectacular, as everyone worked as a well-oiled machined in order to ensure a pleasant experience for all guests. Just when I thought this experience could not get any better, the drinks arrived followed by the food. The drinks were perfectly crafted, and you can easily tell that time, thought, and energy went into curating each one. The food, however, was the highlight of this visit. I sampled many items ranging from the crab cakes to the duck breast, and each bite was divine bliss. Even while writing this review, my mouth salivates at the thought of these dishes. I, simply, can not wait to return, and I urge anyone who wishes for a near perfect experience to visit.

We had dinner last night and the entire experience was excellent. The manager, Christopher, came over to our table, introduced himself and asked how we were doing. Very pleasant and its great to see a manager involved with customers. We are looking to return with friends and try new items. Oh and plenty of parking with no valet.

Go. Go now. If you are saddened by Southern Rail’s departure take comfort that Copper & Sage as many of those staples (deviled eggs, fried green tomatoes, pimento cheese, shrimp and grits) covered along with so much more and done so much better on its seasonally changing menu. Food and drinks are excellent as are the service and ambience.

Im just so happy that a southern-ish, Cajun-ish restaurant has opened here! They atmosphere is very casual and inviting. We ordered the blustered shishito peppers fried and green tomatoes for apps. Both very fresh and not too oily. Very tasty. Husband had the blackened fish tacos. Looked amazing. The slaw and avocado toppings helped bring down the saltiness of the blackened seasoning. He loved them. There are so many things on the menu I must try. Can’t wait to return for date night and try some cocktails.
